Starting Over

Amy, so sorry to hear your thyroid is still acting up. That just sucks, but at least they're FINALLY getting to the route of the damn problem. Hopefully the extra meds will kick in soon.
 
I increased my calories for the weekend to try and jumpstart my metabolism. I consumed about 2300 each day and then dropped them back down to 1500 yesterday. I am at 900 calories for the day with 71 carbs. I plan to have 1400 calories with 90 carbs for the entire day. The extra carbs are for the gym tonight. I don't plan to leave the gym until I have burned 700 calories. This should take me about an hour and a half.

The increased calories for the weekend made the dman scale go back up to 170lbs. Scalena's a bitch. It doesn't look like I'm gonna make my goal of 165 for my birthday. Right now I am shooting for getting back down to 167 by the end of the week.

You crazy sexy bitches need to keep my ass in gear with this new workout program. I skipped one day last week and that really really bad! I am feeling a little tired and "down" this week for some reason so I need all the motivations I can get right now.
 
I personally think the 2300 per day thingie was a great idea. Only problem is the scale goes WAY UP when you do that, but quickly descends back down as well. Just recently Bikinibound went up several pounds after taking a week's break, and then made it back down within a few days. I was up to 141 on the weekend and this morning back to 139.5.

As far as the motivation to get to the gym, you have way more than me to manage to get to the gym after a full work day, cooking and taking care of the baby and putting her to sleep. At that point I am entirely knackered and cant do anything but come on WLF! So good for you. I just pushed my ass to the gym and I am so happy for it. I was going to blow it off, but I feel SO DAMN GOOD now. You will feel the same, though I max out at 60 mins (approx 400 cals)..I dont know how you manage 1.5 hours on 1400 cals. Oooohweee!
 
I know you're going to slap me for asking this, but what happened to the RMR test? It was so cheap and it would give you such interesting info on your metabolism. I'm just DYING to hear the results. Have you decided against it for now? I'll stop asking but sheesh I'm curious!

Ha! I completely forgot about it and missed the appointment, which is very unlike me. I am putting a post it note on my computer screen right now to reschedule it for this week. I am only work half days on thursday and friday of this week so I should have time to go do it. I mean geez, it's only 5 minutes from my friggin job!

Starting tomorrow I will be bringing my gym bag to work to go walking/jogging (depending on the temperatures) on my lunch break. I work 1/2 mile from the Big Dam Bridge (bigdambridge.com) and my office is on the Great Arkansas River Trail where joggers and cyclists go for their daily exercise. It's beautiful here. I have no excuse now that the weather is cooling down.
 
I went to gym last night and refused to leave until I had burned 700 calories. Woot! And it only took me an hour and 15 minutes. I wear a HR monitor to keep up with it.

I am home today with a sick baby girl. She's sleeping right now so I am relaxing with a cup of coffee and listening to my itunes. Sean and I watched Elizabethtown for the first time the other night and I had to get the soundtrack. Friggin awesome. There's one song by Ryan Adams that Sean and I love.Best lyrics ever. The song sounds so sweet until you listen to the words.

Happy birthday to the baby! Hope she's starting to feel better now. Coincidentally my baby came down with something which must've started last night but now its escalated to her sneezing every 5 minutes. Anyway, hope your family enjoyed this special day :).

My little Bella Boo is still pretty sick tonight. I will be staying home with her again tomorrow so I hope she gets to feeling better so we can do something for her birthday. I can't believe she's 1 already. This past year has gone by so fast, it's kind of depressing. I don't want her to grow up. Ever. :)

I consumed 1560 calories today with only 50 net carbs. I didn't get to do any exercise due to Bella being so sick. She wouldn't let me put her down ALL DAY. If she is feeling better tomorrow then we may go jogging in the neighborood with the stroller. At the very least I will get weight training in. TTYL!!

I and probably every other mother knows just how you feel about them growing up so quickly. Sheesh, my baby is well into looking like a toddler and no longer like an infant. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Poor thing is snoring like an old man down in her crib (I can hear her on the monitor which is in the computer room).

Hope AB is feeling better today. I would think she'd stop crying once y'all were actually moving in the stroller? Good luck getting your workouts in.

Hey ladies! I am home again today with Bella. She is feeling a little better this morning but still refuses to drink her Pedialyte. I'm having to force her to drink a little at a time to get her rehydrated. The cleaning lady is coming at 9am so we may go strolling so we won't be in her way. That should get me about 2 hours of exercise. I hope Annabelle doesn't start feeling worse by then. The weather here is beautiful so I am dying to get out and stroll around the lake. We may take some bread and feed the ducks there. She isn't too crazy about animals but she may like the ducks if they don't get too close.

I'm sure you ladies are rocking and rolling with your exercising and calories, as usual. Good luck today and thanks for the birthday wishes!
 
Bella has given me her bug so now I feel like SHIT. I get off work at noon so I will be heading home to go to bed. My H was going to surprise me tonight for my birthday but we had to cancel our plans. I don't feel like doing anything right now. :(

I spent friday night puking my brains out so my calories and carbs for that day are a big fat ZERO. Saturday I felt alot better but was very tired. We had to cancel Bella's big birthday bash. I didn't want to get our friends and their kids sick with this bug too. My poor husband is sick today so I will be busy babying him.

I plan to get back to the gym tomorrow depending on how the H and baby are feeling.

Bleh! I am going through a "refeed" this week and I feel so FULL. I am having to consume an extra 500-700 calories each day. That's alot of damn food! The funny hting is that the scale dropped 2lbs to 168. Not too shabby. I plan on dropping the calories back down to 1400-1600 on Sunday. Geez, I hope this works.

I ran 2.5 miles last night and burned 400 calories. It was too dark out so I couldn't see where I was stepping so I came home early. I just had a HUGE glass of wine so I am going to bed. Seeya!!
 
So you're eating 2000 calories this week? That sounds like a good plan since you dont seem to get hungry at 1400-1600. It seems your body has really gotten used to that low amount, but your normal cals are really a "diet" amount for someone your age and activity level and not a normal amount that people generally eat (until they get much older when the metabolism slows down). Looking forward to hearing how this works. Have a good one sweetie :).

Hey C. I really hope this works too. I have a good feeling about it. I can't believe I didn't realize before now that I have actually been hurting myself and my metabolism but going so long on such low calories without a break. Duh! Especially since my thyroid levels are going up. I will be cycling my calories from now on.

How's your week coming along so far? Are you going to the gym today? I am super excited. A kickboxing studio has opened next door. I am signing up today to start goin on my lunch break. Woot!
