Very Long>>>vent!!!!
Hi ya sweet Val..
Yep..Exactly....You will see more of an example of this shortly in my reply..
Thanks Paul!

Ok...
Haven't visited my parents in a long while.. I was actually excited to go visit.
Stephy was off work and I was hoping I'd catch bubba there to.
I was in the garage smokin' a cigg with dad and catchin' up..
I'm in the middle of telling him how bad hubby's mom is health wise with her Hept. C (contracted through blood she received years ago after things went wrong havin' Daves sister) I'm explaining that hubby has been so torn up of course and how his sister just called and informed us the doctors do not think she'll be here much longer. She's 4'6 and is now 80 lbs.
So terrible.. Her motor skills have just went as of a few weeks ago.
All of a sudden Bubba pulls up and Dad just ignores what I'm tellin' him so he can jump up in a panic and start cussin' my bubba bc his truck was screwed up.. Dad was throwin' a wall-eyed-fit in the middle of street.
Bubba's bumper was in the back of his truck and above the back rear tire was a huge dent. {It's an old used chevy}
Of course my bubba doesn't want to be cussed in the middle of the street and ignores my dad and goes inside.
I go inside and dad follows.
For 25 mins. bubba beats around the bush not tellin' the truth bc my dad is actin' like a complete ass and you can't get a word in..
Finally bubba told us all what happened.
At 4am this morning while drinkin' w/friends he decides to get in his truck and let his friend Justin also bombed out of his mind drive them in a field so they can be true rednecks doin' donuts. Justin lost control and they slammed into a fence.
At this point my dad is ranting and raving about ins. - money - and so on.
I've had enough and holler... HUSH - For cryin' out loud...What is wrong w/you people.
Now, Hush...I have some things to say....
I then sit bubba down and first explain that I'm so glad he is ok.
I then start the scolding of how freakin' dumb it is to get in a car if you've been drinking..That's so NOT COOL!
But then to put yer life in another drunks hands is even more dumb.
I told him about the poor kids that have been on the news from our area that are still in critical condition in the hospital and they have yet to find out that their parents died in the car accident which was caused by a drunk driver.
3 kids now have NO PARENTS.
I asked him if he would like to be one of those pple robbin' a family of their loved ones?
I also asked him how we would feel to lose him.
I asked him has he forgotten Zachs horriffic death already? It's only been a freakin' year this May!!
(Zach was the most precious young man and was a family friend to us all and my bubba's BF.) He put his life in a drunk friends hands and this is what happened...
This was 4 mins. from my home! We heard all the noise and drove up and saw Zach bein' covered up with a sheet.
Here he is..
2 weeks before his death he recived his high school diploma..
Here he is with my MaeMae.
Here is the other Zack{the drunk driver that also died. He was cut in half folks.)
Bubba got very teary eyed..
I said...I'm not trying to hurt you--I'm trying to save you..
Don't end up like Zach..
Don't take someone else away from their families either.
Dad butted in of course and begin throwing a fit again.
They said they were dropping bubba off their ins. which my sister Steph pays and he can work more to pay the high dollar ins. or drive w/o it..
I then began throwing a freakin' fit..
I said...
OooO dad, that's a super great idea. Let's give the OK for him to break the law everyday. What if he has another fender bender (He has had 4 in almost 2 years) That's real fair to the person he hits/injures..
What is wrong w/you ppl??????
PARENT THESE KIDS!
Jimmy, if you were my son I'd have hold of your keys right now and yer ass would be grounded. {he laughed...I'm 21...blah...blah...)
I said...
Whelp...You'd either follow the rules or pack yer shit and get out.
That's how it'll be for my son.
I don't care if he's still at home at 25 -- He's in OUR HOUSE and what we say goes! PERIOD - END OF STORY.
I'm very disappointed in you and you need to lay off the drinking - grow up - and get some life goals set up for yourself.
Dave and I have always told you that we will be more than happy to help you find the right community college - show you how to handle and run a savings acoount/checking account and so on.
You need to quit acting like your 16 and act like a 21-yr.-old that is together and responsible. Play time is over.
You have once chance to make your mark in this world. Make a good one.
Learn from my mistakes and don't end up with No education or skills.
(I'm a 10th G. drop-out...caused by family issues and always bein' on the run. After havin' Cory I self-educated myself the best I could.)
Mom and dad were pissed bc I was makin' them look like idiots but I don't care.
My gawd, someone has to try and let the kids know a future is out there and it can be taken away! Also in this day in time you need to get serious.
Yes, youth is wonderful but there comes a time when party time has to take the back seat and you grow up to be an adult. Especially with our freakin' family and all of the issues with health/money.
Anyway, I gave some more heartfelt wisdom and left it at that.
Did mom or dad ever try to continue the convo re: my precious hubby's precious mom?
Uhhh...NO...
I was so freakin' mad about that as well and just wanted to rip their heads off!
RE: fence - It was a run-down vacant space in field that looked like someone was trying to get it all torn down but gave up..
If it would have been a home/business my dad would have made sure they went to offer ins. info.. (just so ya know.)
Great visit huh?
