Ok..As many of you have probably read, my materials came in yesterday..

Starting Sunday, I'll be following the Biggest Loser Plan/Begin counting cals..

I got the book- calorie counter guide -cookbook..

I have never counted cals before so this is all new to me.

I'm starting Sunday bc I still need time to read more, get to the store tomorrow and so on.. :)

My Cals per day will be: 1,500

Jillian suggests a Food Journal/Diary which I have here of course.
She also wants me to answer these questions in my diary.


Why do you want to lose weight?
I want to lose weight bc #1 it is important for my health.
A 34-year-old- woman should not gasp for air after climbing stairs, feel sluggish all the time, and have more pain with RA due to weight gain.
#2 If I can't stand to look at myself - something is wrong.
I'm sick of wearing plus sized clothes and being limited to outfits bc I have to hide behind them. I can't wait to wear my shirts tucked in again!
I can't wait to show off a cute figure!
I'm sick of feeling like a bloated pig.


How will looking better benefit you?
I'll feel better emotionally first off.
Next, it'll be great shoppin' for fashion again and never again have to mix and match clothes. Most often all of my plain shirts/tops/etc come from the mens dept. Why? Because most stores now have changed all the sizes again..
A womens 1X feels/looks like a med. Other things just look/fit like maternity clothes/moomoo's! The only thing at this time that comes from the womens section is capri pants/jeans/things for my bottom half.
I can't wait to be stylish again!


With more energy, what will you do that you're not doing now?
I'll workout longer/more often.
I'll get out more to toot around town and make more time for myself.
I'll make more plans for the family so we can all become more active/get out more.
I'll be happier - more at peace. Energy relieves stress!


How will you feel if you do all of these things?
For once in my life I can claim Victory!
I can say: "I HAVE finished what I've started!
Good-Bye Past - Hello Tomorrow!"

I truly think I'll find "Stacy" again and it'll be awesome to look great/feel great!


Finally, Jillian wants me to set weekly goals and answer them different each week.. I'll start that Sunday..:)

I'm on page 49 of the book and it's a very great read and makes total sense to me. I LOVE their version of the Food Pyramid!
Can't wait to read on..

Careful! Under 1300 calories is a real challenge, I think 1600 is a better goal, but whatever you can manage I suppose! Let us know if it workd for you! You'll find on here sometimes bodies cling desparetly to fat when your cals get too low!

I'm open to all opinions bc I'm new at this!

I'm going by what the book said.. 7 cals per pound of weight..

I'm 175.3...

Where do you guys think I should start with cals then?
 
It's interesting that they suggest 7 calories per pound irregardless of starting weight.

Put it this way. Considering your starting weight, I'd say 7 calories per pound would be agressive. And if you take that route, you better make sure you are getting enough protein in.

If you were starting at 150 lbs, I'd say don't do 7 calories per pound.

If you were 500 lbs, I'd say you could go below 7 if you wanted.

Shooting for 1500-1600 calories per day sounds about right to me, assuming you weren't doing some crazy dieting before this.
 
Ok..as I said, I have never counted cals before so I don't want to starve to death and I don't want to eat too much..

I'll start w/1500 then and go from there..

I knew it sounded low!

I have loved everything else I have read so far in the book.

Food Today:

Usual Coffee

Vitamin/Supplement

B- 1 pkg. weight control oatmeal - 1 c. sf/tang

L- Beef fajita quesadilla - I used 2 carb control tortillas - layered: 2% cheese - 1/4 cup chopped fajita beef - 2 tbs. chopped bell peppers - 1 small chopped roma tom - 1 tbs. chopped green onions - Toasted in toaster oven until cheese melted - I had 1 tbs. light sour cream for dipping.

I also had 1/4 c. cottage cheese and 3 whole black olives.

32 oz. water completed

D- 2 scram. eggs, 2 slices turkey bacon, 1 slice of MG-WW bread {toasted/used butter spray}, 1 c. 1% milk and 1 c. sf/tang.

S- later I'm sure I'll have 1 serv. sf/ff choc. puddin' ;)

Diet Dp {sippin' it now}

I'll try ta get more water down as well. :rolleyes:

Just a note: If you see me mention "diet butter" - "butter spray" - "butter" - It is RE: Fat Free - I can't believe it's not butter.
It's all I use.. I don't have time to always say that long name, and I just don't want to...I like my slang better!

Can you tell I've put it off for 2 days? lol

I just hate it! It's so boring and a complete drag.

First I have ta go through freezer/fridge/pantry and jot down what we're out of and in need of..Then I have to go through laundry room and jot that crap down.

Then I have to go through hubby/sons bathroom cabinets and jot stuff down.
Lastly my bathroom..{I don't require that much stuff from the store bc I'm an Avon freak and most of my stuff is ordered.} :D I used to sell Avon for 3 years. Now, I'm an addict! :rotflmao:

Now, I have to go through my cookbooks and my creative cookbook {that contains all of my creations} and decide on meals/snacks/lunches/etc.

Lastly, I can finally start makin' out the freakin' list! :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Can't put it off any longer!
