Hi E1

I look forward to havin' the time to check in/catch up in your journals! :hug2:

Thank you so much Kimberly - Margaret - and Dawn for your support, advise, and kind words. :grouphug:

I think Dave and I have truly made it!
Still not smoking....With all the things that have happened: Car accident, stress, both parents in poor health, his dad bein' in the hospital, etc...If we can go through all that and not smoke, we can do it/stick w/it!!

I did have a bad day Sunday.. Guess it was withdrawls bc I threw up most of the day and poor hubby has had horrible headaches.

We sure will be glad when that crap stops along w/strong cravings at times.

:willy_nilly:

Daves dad returned home lastnight.

We'll see how long they both can stay out of hospital this time.

Jan will probably go back within the next few days sadly.
She is not improving.

Thank you for the SWEET B-Day Wishes! :biggrinjester:

It was so strange not to have my celebration on Memorial Day like the tradition has been since I was a kid!

As mentioned, I was born on Mem. Day but the date is the 28th..(tomorrow.)

This is hubby's last night off and he's very stressed/tired.

My b-day is not important right now..

I don't even think the poor guy has a clue...Bless his heart.

It's ok..I won't be sad..There is just too much going on right now...

Can't believe I'll be 35 tomorrow! :willy_nilly:

5 more years and I'll be 40! :leaving:

I weigh in this Friday and I'm thinking my weight will be the same or worse..
I have only had that one pig out day but I just feel/look - fatter/bloated..?

Guess it's the not smoking/patches?

My eating has been good.

Not a lot of exercise, but some good days with it.

I'm sure once all this dad-gum rain goes away the swimming will help!

We have had some bad t-storms.. It's storming now again...

I can't wait for pool exercises and swimming! :D

I'm hoping I'll have some extra free time tonight and I can finally get to your J's!

:grouphug:

Thanks 4 checking in w/me.

<3 Stacy

Glad to hear FIL is back home. Hope MIL improves.

Yup, if you and Dave can go through all that without smoking, you can certainly stick it out. Once again, I cannot tell you how proud I am of both of you for showing such determination. WTG!!

My wish for you tomorrow is to have a nice, quiet, stress-free birthday. :)

35 isn't that old, I'm 36..lol..and still manage to keep both feet out of the grave. :D

I've got to rub in the great weather we've had lately--sunny and 70s-80s. :smilielol5: Makes up for the freezing cold, snow winter. :D

Happy Birthday!

Dont worry about the age thing. I reckon that if you are young at heart and dont tell anyone your age - no-one need ever know what your age is. For most things age is inconsequential. We are trying to take care of our bodies - and if we keep on doing that - the chances are that people will guess that we are younger than our ages anyway.

I agree with Kimberly in that it is good that your FIL is back home - and I also hope that your MIL improves.

I also agree with Kimberly that you have both proved that you really can cope with life without smoking. Just keep up the good work and these terrible bouts of withdrawal sickness will ease off. Stick with it and get out the other side. Then remember how horrible the withdrawal was so that you do not get tempted to smoke again which would bring the need for a replay of the withdrawal. Dont worry about the weight in comparison. With giving up smoking you are dealing with something that will have a much bigger impact on your life. Your weight problem is not big in comparison and can be dealt with later.

Take care
Love
Margaret

Happy belated. :)

Sorry to hear about all the shit going on. Health problems suck!! At least he's back home for now.

And a huge congrats to still being 'lung smog free.'

Thanks 4 the B-Day Wishes Y'all! :hug2:

You are havin' gr8 weather Kimberly!

If we are not in the closet due to tornadoes, we are sizzling hot/humid.. :smilielol5:

A transformer blew up this morning so we had no power for 2 hours and you would not believe how quickly this place became an oven!

I'm starting to feel like we are cursed..lmbo! :svengo:

Thanks Margaret! :)
So sweet of ya.

Hi ya Steve, thanks! ;)

Sorry to hear the power went out. At least the pool's open, right? I'd go swim in there and cool off. I mean, it IS your birthday and all.

Hello there :)

That is so awesome that you've been able to not pick up a cigarette in all the stressful times you just went/are still going thru. I don't personally smoke but have been surrounded by people who have/are struggling with it for years, so I've seen how hard it is to finally give them up.

Happy Bday!

-Sam

Hi Y'all. :waving:

As I mentioned in Kimberly's Journal:

The curse has lifted for a brief moment and I'm able to journal hop and catch up w/you guys..lol

Would you believe our power went off AGAIN at 7PM last night?!?! :toetap05:
The sun was still coming in heavy through patio windows and kitchen windows and this place heated up so quickly we had to stay outside until they fixed the transformers.

All the neighbors looked as if they were ready to riot. :biggrinjester:

I would have been right with 'em! ;)

I'm the crunk ass bitch after all. :D

(I miss Sheryl!)

They said all of our boxes need to be replaced...

So I said, "Well, replace them then."

LOL..

Of course this will take time to have the whole property done, so we may lose our power a few more times.

I know one thing, they need to get to it and quick bc this is Texas and we cannot go without AC.

Things are calm around here for the moment, so I'm gettin' the heck outta here and gonna go spend my b-day cash..LMAO! :biggrinjester:

I 4-sure need a day out.

<3 Y'all!

Have A Goal Reachin' Thursday E1

Weigh-In Day

Stacy's "Breaking the Cycle."

Notes: I have gained dammit!
I guess between the patch, not smoking, going to the hospital, my car accident, and the days bein' sick due to withdrawl has not helped. lmao!

Of course I had some exercise, but not enough due to the above.
I have ate right, so I am shocked that I gained. :toetap05:

2 weeks ago - Weigh-In: 182.4 lbs

5/30/08 Weigh-In: 185.0

(The Same) Measurements:

Waist - 36 1/2

Mid-Section - 35

Hips/Tummy(ending under belly-button) - 44

Inner Thighs - 26

Big Yikes! :iagree:

Notes: I will keep track of my waist in siggy area.
The reason I chose that ticker is for a positive reminder re: how much money will be saved from NOT smoking! :)

My ticker is set up to reach First Goal of 168.0 lbs.

My Main Goal is to reach 150.0 lbs. so I can see if that's enough or if I need to keep going. I have no idea since I have not been that weight in 4 years now.

I want to be a 9/10 again. If I remember correctly, I was around 148 and everything fit perfectly. I was healthy and pleased with my body.

I'm 5'8 -- I will weigh-in & take measurements every 2 weeks.
(Reason: I don't want the scale telling me what mood to be in.)
I think this is the smart thing to do for me at this time as well bc of putting the smokes down. I may go up/down a bit.

Currently: In a size 16 Jean/Capri Pants

Tops: 2X

Positive Notes 2 Self:

I have stopped smoking!

Punishing yourself stops now.

Emotional Eating stops now.

Failure stops now.
YES, there are going to be mistakes and slip-ups. So What. :chillpill:
I can dust myself off and leave that behind the moment it happens and move forward.

I did not get myself in this mess overnight, & it's not gonna come off overnight.

Slow and Steady WINS the race.

It's Now or Never!

I WILL reach my goals! :hurray:

Next Weigh-In is 6/13/08 - Friday the 13th -

I may stay in bed all day!!! :biggrinjester:  :biggrinjester:

*Snorts!*

:grouphug:

Hi Steve - Sammy - Hi Everyone!

Happy Friday!

OK..

I have 2 weeks to hopefully see a good loss.

Now that I have been usin' the patch/quit smoking, I hope all the kinks from that including bein' sick some days w/withdrawl will be over now!

It's time to put the horrible past of these previous weeks behind me. :svengo:

Time ta move forward and get this weight off!

I'm 2 lbs. shy of bein' my damn heaviest again.

Thank gosh I didn't allow myself to use food as a smoke, so it's time to kick up the exercise and continue to eat healthy and watch my cals.

Next weigh in has to be better!

~*Have A Great Friday & Weekend Y'all!*~ :grouphug:

I'll be picking up my lil MaeMae once I get Cory from school.

She'll be stayin' the night with us. ;)

I'm gonna make a chicken stir fry for dinner with lots of veggies and a huge garden salad.

I'm sure we'll play board/card games all night. lol

:seeya: Thanks Mal!

*****

Kimberly/Dawn -

With my b-day cash, I bought the final touches for my apartment garden..lol

Here are the pics you wanted. ;)

Front Patio Pics

Thanks for the lovely patio pics. :)

Bad luck about the weight. Are you getting enough water intake? That could be making you retain. If you're eating right, you should still be able to maintain even if you aren't exercising much. That's what makes me think it's water retention. It couldn't be fat if you're eating right. :)

Ooooo I love the pics! :hurray:
I love the fact that even though you live in an apartment , you have put your stamp on the place.
Very nice indeed.
I can see why you would like to sit out on your patio in the morning to get your day started.
We are hoping to build a patio this year and next. It will take 2 years due to the costs of all the tile and having to level out sections of the yard.

Beautiful job Stacey! I love plants myself.

What is this about punishing yourself? You better not be saying mean things to yourself, I will get very upset if my friend is being bad-mouthed..even if its by herself.

:grouphug:

Hi ya...

Glad y'all like the pics. :seeya:

Sorry I've been MIA again...

If it's not one thing it's another.

We have been SUPER BUSY w/LIFE... :svengo:

There was a mix up with the body shop 4 car, so that wasted almost a whole day makin' phone calls to get it worked out, we lost power again and had to leave bc we are in our TX Heat Wave to stay..(our summer has started)..Too dang hot in an apt. with no AC! - Dave's mom has been to the emergency room twice, and I just got off the phone with Cyndi and Jack is on his way back to the hospital with Jan now. I bet they admit her this time.

Cory has had 3 projects to complete for school (yes, at the end of the school year.. ), so I've had to run him all over town so we could find all the dern supplies, and just regular things as well like cleaning/running errands, and so on.

Thank GOODNESS tomorrow is his last day!!!!! :hurray: He'll get out at 2PM

Can you beileve I haven't been able to go swimming yet? :toetap05:

The freakin' pool has been closed bc something is wrong with the pumps.

Just my luck! <GRRRRRRRR> I hope it gets fixed soon!

I have been super lazy and have not exercised.. I'm so pooped by the end of a busy day, and I just can't bring myself to do anything.

I am eating right and gettin' in water.

No weight is going to come off though like that!

Gotta have exercise!

:willy_nilly: I have got to get my butt in gear..

It's hard though when you have so much going on in your life...

Sometimes I feel like I can't even take a deep breath - there's no time! lol

I wanted to let ya know I'm alive..

Whelp, I gotta go wake up poor hubby and let him know about his mom...

I tried to wait a bit bc he didn't even lie down until noon.

:grouphug: for E1

<3 Stacy

PS:
Still NOT Smoking!!!

Only have a minute of course... :willy_nilly:

Jan has been admitted..

We are waiting for the body shop to call so we can turn in rental and get our Honda back finally. (bein' fixed due to the accident I was in)

Then, we'll head out to the hospital.

Have a Great Thursday all!

Last Day of School for Cory!! Heck Yes!

:waving:

6/11/08 Update

:leaving:

<echo> hello...hello...hello... <end echo>

...lol... :D

Well,

Jan came home from the hospital lastnight.

Gosh, I hope they can both stay out now! :ack2:

********

News w/me..

I'm finally seeing my weight come down a bit.

(I know it was from all the hospital walking.)

I have had 2-3 days with bad food choices, but have mostly stayed on track.

Previous Weigh In: 185.0 -

Now: 184.2

Measurements:

Waist - 35 was - 36 1/2

Mid-Section - 34 1/2 was - 35

Hips/Tummy(ending under belly-button) - 44 same

Inner Thighs - 25 1/2 was - 26

No matter what happens from here on out, I have to take care of me and give myself time.

I hope that doesn't sound disrespectful or ugly (bc I don't mean it in that way), but I cannot live at a hospital.

I have to eat right, exercise, and take care of myself which = TIME.

We all know all to well that time is a huge issue with weight loss.

I'm tired of not reaching any goals I set in place.

For pete's sakes, my b-day goal was to be in the 60's by now!! :cuss:

My b-day was the end of May, so that wasn't met..lol

Even if it was 169, that's in the 60's!

I'll be around now and I look forward to visiting your J's and chatting with y'all.

I'll catch up asap! (I should have time tomorrow.)

:grouphug:
