I am not doing to well at this I am STILL carrying the 3lb I put on over Christmas and I just dont seem to be losing at all.
I calorie-counted very precisely a couple of days ago to see what my average day is really like, and it came out about 1150, so I'm not overdoing it there.
I just dont know where I'm going wrong, I've been stuck at this weight for a while now and I feel like I'm going to lose interest if I dont make some progress soon.
I think I read somewhere on here that if you grind to a halt you need to sort of "shock" your body, by doing something out of the ordinary... any ideas on this? Any suggestions on how to kick start things again would be great...
perhaps you're under doing it. Your body goes into starvation mode if the cals are too low, try having 1500 cals a day for a week and see if it changes.
Thanks both of you. Wishes -I will try doing that then, although I am not actively keeping them down, I am eating substantial meals so I dont really understand it. Maybe if I upped the excercise as well... made it more frequent?
Well I've been pretty good today. I did a bit of a workout this morning, got the blood pumping, and food wise I've been really careful to avoid the fats and too many carbs. I think it's been a good one.
I really do hope I see some change soon I think this is now a bit of a make-or-break situation for me...
No giving up aloud! i am in the same boat with you. I haven't lost in a while. i am trying to do more exercise. Hang in there I've had this happen before and you've got to tough it out and then boom, you dropped a size. may not happen just like that but you get my point!! Tjis is the first of the year, you'll make it !!!!
Thanks for the replies guys. I have decided I need to make the excercise more consistant... more frequent (even if it means slightly less intensive)
Anyway the last couple of days have been good food wise, and today I went to the gym and burnt 1000 cals I'd determined for it to be the start of a good week!
