Sophies diary

Thanks hon you too!

I remember ASs, the time goes so quickly, before you know it you'll be doing your finals, aaargh! :D

the step up from yr11 to yr12 is so dramatic! i was so used to not doing any work and getting As and now i am doing absolutely stacks every night and scraping low Bs or Cs. eeeeek. i am looking forward to finishing school so much (i know thats really bad to wish my life away like that)

Good Morning Sophie!
I haven't been making the diary rounds this week - and I've missed catching up with you!

Morning Sophie, I hope your day goes well. Will stop by later to check in.

In a way getting out of school is the same as in. You just have a new work load!!:p
nahh. i am planning to have a great time at uni :D
of course i will have to do a small amount of work. but hey.

sooo i got my body fat analysing scales this morning and i am 25.4% body fat.
that was after two meals and a snack and not going to the loo so maybe thats an inaccurate reading .. i was just very excited that it had arrived. i will do it properly on weigh in day. i think a better target for me as an athlete would be to lose body fat rather than lose weight.
opinions?
xx

yeah i know. and i over estimated as well just to make sure .. weird thing is i keep panicing when i feel full cos i think ohgod ive gone and stuffed myself silly but then when i add it up its really low even when i add a couple of hundred calories on sometimes just to make sure. lol.
i think im gonna go with the body fat reducing as it will help me more than weight loss - i dont want to lose muscle.

I think it's bullshit--you've GOT to be lower than that, right? I think most of the consumer scales are full of shit. Get a real test! Then call me later ;)

it said on the box that womens healthy range is between 22% and 33%
so i guess it could be right
i dont know
im at a loss of how to lose anymore ... my bmr i was given was a load of bull as im eating over 500 beneath my deficit and not losing a bloody thing

I think the best BF test is when they dump your ass into a vat of water and do rocket-science type calculations....or maybe not....Eureka! *said Archemidies*--I had an ultrasound type wand pressed against me!

yes healthy range of course! *wispering* (but a female athlete such as yourself can be lower and still healthy--and anyone who wants to argue with me, save your breath)

Sophie, I think your bmi is fine. You are so busy and you are extremely active. Don't think of this as numbers, think of it as YOUR IN GREAT SHAPE, regardless of your build or weight. That's all fine!! I think the key to remember is to eat healthy and balanced and you are, to eat in moderation, and you are and to get plenty of daily exercise and you are!! You are doing everything RIGHT, and you are in great shape, don't bother with the numbers, they are used strictly as guidelines and nothing else. So keep up the great work and stop stressing about numbers. I think your fantastic!
Kim

There are lots of athletes who have high BF % and are great at what they do--it's a fact. I saw this special on PBS years ago called FAT and they showed a male triathlete who was almost obese, but his stats were perfect. But he was an exception--atypical.

Kim: You'r totally right!

Sohpie: you told me not to stress! Now I'm telling you! But if you really want an more accurate body fat testing, go for it!

aww guys i love you :) you make me feel so positive. i just totally need something to show that i am improving at something. does that make sense?
