Sophies diary

Sophie you are improving, your doing triathlons for heaven's sake, that is way up there in my book. If I could only be as half as fit as you are. My gosh, I would be in a dream.

Hey Sophie :) Thanks for posting in my diary lately, I appreciate it. Now I'm finally posting in yours!

First thing I have to say is... holy crap, triathalons! lol.... I know that must be a lot of hard work going into preparing for something like that and doing it as well. What's involved in your triathalon? I know what's involved, a lot of exercise that I couldn't do, that's what! lol

So I notice you don't have a ticker, so I was just curious on how you are at with your weight. In the beginning of your diary I think you said you were 9 stone and wanted to get back to your 7.5. So I was just curious if you've reached that and/or surpassed that.

Sorry to hear about the ammenhorea. Is that something that's not reversable?

Soph ~~hugs~~ for the rep, your the sweetest!
Kim
:) thankyou

hiya risty nice to see you! so for my triathlongs it depends on which race it is but between 500m-3000m swim, 5-50km road bike and 1-10km run.
nahh my ticker deleted itself ad i never got round to putting another one on lol. but i have modified my goals. i have reached 119 pounds and stayed there steady as a rock for while. i am looking to lose a little bit more but not much.
i think it is reversable - i just need to wait for mine to reverse lol :) x

Hey Sophie thanks for popping by my diary. I really appreciate the support. Looking at your BMI comments I can tell you that I have found it a really deceptive measurement. Atheletes will always be high. Muscle weighs more than fat. The BMI is over 120 years old and was invented by a mathematician from Belgium who never intended it to be used the way we use it. As Curvie suggested, there are better ways to measure fat.

Good Morning you...I think your body fat might be right ya know - it is almost half of mine and i weigh almost dbl you - geeesh...mind you one would assume you have more muscel which would lead to it being lower yes - I dunno - ther eis still alot abt this weight loss thing I dunno...

yeah i atotally agree. there are so many different calculations and numbers rolling around in my head and i dont think that any of them are particularly specific to me.
Good morning. Ho[pe you have a great day today. Don't train too hard!:)
morning chick! hope you have a good day too - me, i am doing maths revision
no training today for me - i am carb loading :D:D:D
two races this weekend...eeeeeek
determines my final national ranking. I SO WANT TO BE IN TOP 20 SO BAD
everybody keep everything crossed for me lol

Good Morning Sophie :)
I haven't read back, but did you see the doctor about the ammenhorea? Did she how long it takes to reverse it?

I know we were at opposite sides of the spectrum, but at my highest weight, my cycles were completely unpridictable - I would go 56-70 days in between. As I started losing weight, and right about the time I went from "morbidly obese" to just "obese" my cycles started evening out - now they come like clock work every 27-28 days.

It truly is amazing how delicately balanced our systems are!

i used it this morning cinders and because it was before any meals etc i was at my "true weight" and the scales said 119lbs which is right and the body fat said 24.4%
i know i still have a small amount of body fat i wanna lose so if i just conc on reducing this number (not interpreting its meaning to be healthy or not cos its all different everywhere :)) then that should be ok...
Good Morning Sophie :)

morning hun
im seeing my doctor in about a week and a half. the system is totally messed up over here
and OUR systems are incredidble. it does make me want to go all deep and thoughtful about how we became to be like this... who made all these hormones to go down all the different tubes!
crayyyzzeeeee

i hate carb loading :( i am pretending i am enjoying myself but eating over 1500 calories makes me feel very uncomfortable and ill at ease.
i am so scared that i will put on

Hi Sophie! Sounds like a challenging weekend ahead of you!!! Fingers are crossed but you probably don't even need luck - it's hard work and you definitely do that!!! Kick some butt!

cheers big ears ;)
i am off to wales tonight. running in black mountains tomorrow. *gulp* even the name of them sounds pretty ominous

Hi Sophie! With all that exercise it it so unlikely you will put on. Even if you are not exercising on the day you are eating.

But well done for doing it even though it makes you feel uncomfortable. I know it is really not easy for ex-anorexics and you should be so proud for cultivating such a healthy attitude to food! Kepp listening to your brain, and not that little inner voice, you know you need those carbs!!!
