Sophies diary

Ah, hot chocolate! It's soooooo yummy! There's this place near my office that has 45 different kinds of hot chocolate:vanilla, banana, mint, strawberry...it's such a big temptation especially on cold days but I have managed to stay away from there since I've started my diet...

Congratulations on your lost pound!

mmmm hot chocolate, i would love some :) but i'm having only a piece of dark chocolate as dessert today. well as long as its chocolate lol
great for the third place sophie and congrats on the pound lost! Lena

39 calories is SO worthwhile :D
I mean, not for EVERY meal, but as a treat, you can't beat it! I have had some reduced calorie cocoa made from hershey's powder with splenda and a splash of half-and-half, it was pretty darn tasty. Do they have low-cal instant cocoa where you are?

There are several brands available over here, and a couple of them are pretty good, but... How did you do it with 39 calories? All of them I found are 60 calories per 8 oz serving. Did you use a 4 to 6 oz serving?

thanks guys :)
well today i was a little diapointed as i was suposed to be going walking with my friends but they cancelled on me 30 minutes after they were supposed to be at my house!?
so i am going swimming training tonight instead for two hours.

I love swimming; it is one of my reasons for wanting to shed some non-lean body mass. I'd love to feel comfortable in a public pool again; have fun! :D

thanks mal, qjay!
andbe gone soon - can you not join a club? here in england we have ladies swimming clubs and groups of friends can just go and lane swim :)
and also qjay- i dont know how many ounces the sachet was but it said it provided a 150ml serving - in england all the major food stored have started their own healthy living ranges and all of the products are really low calorie!
its awesome.

No clubs here. We live in a very small town. And I drive 20 miles to go to the gym and it's still a small town and don't offer a whole lot! Your stores there sound awesome!!:)

will power...

...is something i still dont posess :(
so for lunch today .. well my friends were supposed to be coming which meant i wouldnt be in the house for anything more than a sandwich cos then id be out walking (lunch time is seriously the weakest part of the day for me)
so then i had a sandwich, a then a low fat rice pudding, and then an apple
and then an orange
and then a bowl of cornflakes
and then i thought oh i'll just have one piece of chocolate (broken from the bar) and then that turned into the whole bar.
so now i feel sick and also sick of myself.
that was just cos of boredom. and i havent gone over my calories allowance.. its just i really wanted to have been able to have had that willpwer and i guess i still dont have it.

I have will power only on week days and if I don't go out to eat!! So don't feel bad and put yourself down just move on and try to do better next time. You CAN DI IT!:)

Hey sophie, what are your hobbies? Do you draw or paint or do puzzles, knit crochet, or cross stitch, scrapbook??? Something that you can do to keep that boredom away??

Although, it looks like you had a lot of fruit and good things in your diet today. Don't beat yourself up over a chocolate bar when you are still within your range. Having will power isn't about saying no all the time. It's about having it occasionally and saying no the rest of the time. :D

I had a pb & fudge milkshake yesterday ... I wasn't able to resist when hubby stopped at the Sonic Drive-in. But, I made it work and stayed in my caloric range!

You are doing so WELL!!!!

thankyou guys you have made me feel a lil better. and i have just kind of consoled myself when i looked how many cals swimming is going to burn off tonite. (i am meant to be in a regional squad but hardly ever train anymore due to running commitments - i havent trained for a while now - supposed to go 4 or 5 times a week lolzzz) so i am pretty unfit at swimming right now. so trying to keep up will probably burn out all of that chocolate hopefully..

Willpower is overrated. I mean it's important to have in some degree or another, but resisting relatively good foods when you are an athlete is kind of counter-intuitive. I know not everything you had was "healthy" but it sounds like you had a craving of some kind (probably sweets), because that is a lot of "quick energy" food.

Did you eat it relatively quickly? How long did it take you to go through all of that food? Do you think you'll remember that "sick" feeling next time?

well actually that bar is not so many calories if you think that the entire chocolate is 100 grams. and you ate about 10 grams :)
and you didn' to do too bad with your lunch, several things were unecessary, but don't beat yourself up you had more fruits than bad things :)
and you were runnung hun, you probabily needed those extra carbs.

hope you feel better today

hi qjay - it took me about 40 mins to get thru it all i guess .. but i probaly wont do it again for a while now that i know how bad that it makes me feel - youre right.. yet again :p
