hey kate - oh my goodness, i go through phases but i hear ya with the 'chickened out'. it is a joke in my house that i feel like i am going to turn into one! too much poultry!! i even didnt eat it for 3 yrs b/c i couldnt and then one day, i tried it again. funny how that happens.
MJ- I LOVE Pilates, but I've been doing it for a while. I use the reformers (machines) and am at an intermediate/advanced level. It is mostly strength training, no so much cardio but you do sweat some. If you are interested, I'd start slow with the mat classes that gyms offer and see if you like it. It takes a little while to get used to it but it is really great for your core, mind/body exercise, and i am definitely stronger from it. When i first started however, it took something like 8 classes until i really understood the advantages and the importance of form and balance. It is my favorite exercise for sure!
NL- I know! I was thinking about Paula again today..she must be so busy...we need our possy back in action!
NTL - evening was good last night. you can say i am off paulas diet this week b/c it is blown with my future mother in law in town but yesterday worked out okay. i had a greek salad for lunch and then my FH (who is a chef) cooked dinner at home which was nice. I was able to go to pilates and come back and then have steak (mmm), asparagus, very little sweet potato and WINE (you all see my downfall here). BUT, even though most calories came in in the evening which I know is NOT Good, i still came in totalling 1100 for the day so i am satisfied with that.
I gotta tell you, I am psyched for monday to get back on track officially and have a good solid two weeks. My FH is working at nights all week which gives me some leeway in terms of exercising times and eating different (for me only) and then the week after, he will be out west skiing so i will hopefully have two weeks of good solid performance in the food/exercise category and get some lbs off before i go away the weekend of March 17th.
