Sounds like you have a fun class tonight. Do you get to practice with good dogs, or do they toss you a bad attitude one now and then? lol
 
Hey MJ - i have to practice with ALL dogs of ALL kinds, so last night, i think my teacher wasn't so pleased with me and I got a CRAZY one, but it worked out to my advantage as she was actually workng with me! phew!

Thanks NTL- i see you lost 1/2 lb as well. Looking great!

So, amazingly enough, I managed to wake up early again this morning (2 days in a row is HUGE for me), a little late, but I still managed 35 min at high intensity on elliptical and upper body weights. :)

Again, i weighed in on my non-weigh in day, (I wish i had a dollar for every time i say this), but POST workout, the scale called my name ;), and i broke out of the 140's...139.5...very close, yes, but that is 1/2 lb AFTER weights, cardio and 32 oz water soooooooo, i'm hoping it may even be less than that?? I know most people say they weigh more after exercise so i guess i was looking for some torture to myself...but not sure if that is generally the case?

regardless, as of this am...i am 1/2 lighter.

good thing too as i am going shopping this evening for something for a bridal shower in a couple weeks and it iwll be interesting to see what fits & what doesn't.

i'll check back later..
 
Hey Skyler!! Congratulations!! That is so awesome!! :D Iam so happy for you. Wow you and Paula are just doing so great! Woohoo!! I am going to say I bet it is lower than that, because I always weigh a pound at least more after my work outs, than before! :D So wooohooooo!! Keep it up!!
 
Congrats Sarah, it looks like you're doing really awesome! As far as the protein powder goes, don't worry too much about how many calories because it's all protein calories. Just make sure you don't get a meal replacement drink... you don't want it to have a lot of carbs in it.
Keep up the great work! I'm proud of you for "gettin' up and gettin' it done!" :D
 
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on this 1/2 lb! Its a great progress! I think things are really moving for you.

Second, CONGRATULATIONS on getting up early and exercising 2 days in a row! Man, you have great will power. Go, girl! you will totally get this weight loss thing done!
 
By golly Im truckin right behind ya! Im determined that Im goin to get thru this mess no matter what! Im about to head out the door and bust some butt! Im going to eat lots of fruit, and protein myself. You are really helping me so much! Hell, Im trying to stay far away from re-entering the stupid 150s! Ahh, the 130s sound GOOD!

it seems so crazy to cheer over 1/2 lb in the grand scheme but if it is moving, then it is moving and I'll take it!!!! :D

paula- thanks for the advice on the protein powder...i'll check it out again.

tonight should be interesting. i havent been shopping a while. also, my mom is joining me (who is TINY since she retired and can spend mucho time at the gym, walking, etc...hopefully i fit into something AWESOME.
 
Hey Skyler, I just wanted you to know that I DID it! I bought the protein mix. Oooh boy. :) Starting that tomorrow. Hope it goes well. The jug looks so huge! ;)

Well next time your by a Walmart, give ita shot.. trust me, I'm not a fan of the one we have here.. its ALWAYS packed and full of shoppers that don't seem to understand that they can't block an entire aisle! ;)

Anyhow.. I tried it!! Now.. I have to confess I'm not a fan of whey, and I have used other mixes with whey and usually can taste it. I could this time, but its 4 oz. so its not that bad. It does taste fairly chocolately, and if you don't really know what whey tastes like you probably wouldn't have a clue what I"m referin to. Which is good. I mean it really does taste OK! :) I think I can get rid of the container.. plus FH will probably indulge on some too.

Oh and I am also thrilled to announce I found artichokes finally at my grocery store!! :D I can't wait to try one tomorrow. ;)

Skyler, it really isn't bad protein... I wouldn't purposely steer you wrong. :)
 
Oh, I know, paula..I"ve actually had those protein drinks and whey and vitamin concoctions and I dont mind them, just have to find it.

So, Dana, does that mean that you are doing "paula's diet" (now marketable) ;) ??

ARE WE READY FOR THIS???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I am beyond psyched. it is thursday, weigh in day and even though i weighed in yesterday, it was post exercise and truthfully i didnt believe it....anyways, i was down to 138.5 - WOW!!! That is a 2 lbs loss (including the one i posted yesterday for 1/2 lb) in ONE WEEK and including my binge disaster on Saturday. I can NOT remember for the life of me when I have been able to lose more than 1 lb or even .75 lb / week. Hopefully, it continues!!!!!!!!!! WHOO!

Secondly, I went shopping last night for a bridal shower outfit that they are having for me the first weekend in March. I hadn't been shopping in AGES so i was a little anxious, considering the last time, i was a size bigger than i had EVER been and more frustrated than you can believe....I fit into my OLD size and some of them were too big! I truly should have taken my measurements a while back but I think that must say i lost some inches. What a way to start a day!!!!!!!

Pilates tonight so i got to sleep in some...my FH came home and woke me at 3.30am, out drinking with the boys, so it is good my alarm wasn't scheduled for the 5.30am wakeup.

So, good news to report on my end...I am starting to taste that finish line and it is really exciting.....my reward - a massage, manicure & pedicure!!

still lots to work on as those last 10-15 lbs are for sure the hardest.

I suppose you can say that I am on Paula's diet. Although I need to review what lunch items are appropriate as I've forgotten! Wish me luck..

Keep up the great work! Oh and did you find an outfit to buy? Because I need to do the same, my shower is on the 18th of March!
 
NL - do you like tuna? I have been eating what Paula said she eats (she's my guiding light ;) )...a can of tuna and some light crackers (she eats wheat thins, ive been having those stone wheat minis - you can have 19 of them for only 130 calories and they are salty (and i love salt). also, she said salad and tuna/tofu (i think protein is the key,but i'd check with her).

shower: i found a skirt that i really liked, but i am having trouble finding a top. we ran out of time so bought the skirt and can always return but hoping to find the "right " top for it....so, work in progress still...

ah HA! It was Tuna. actually. I dunno I think I like tuna.So is it just plain tuna outta a can on some crackers? I think I can manage that. Seems like I need to go to the grocery store.

Congrats on the skirt. Maybe that's what I'll do. Find a nice skirt and top. Although I do have a skirt at home that is very spring like that may work, but I think its fairly big. It was sort of big when I bought it. So we'll see.

NL - paula uses mayo, i think - i just eat it plain cuz it dont mind it that way and mayo kinda freaks me out ;).

AWESOME job, Skyler! You have only 10 lbs to go! Whooo-hooo! I just KNEW that your body will shed some of those sticky lbs. I might have to consider Paula's diet also. :) What about exercises? Are they working for you? Obviously, they do as you just lost all this weight! I'm thinking of getting Paula's book. :)

Good luck on finding that top. Is not it wonderful to be able to get into your old size clothes?
