Shot #2

Jill: Thanks girl!!!!! The skipping is coming along. SO instead of stopping and taking a 15-20 second break after a minute of jumprope, I jump a different way. So usually you jump up at the same time with both feet, right? When I get tired I switch to jumping by lifting one foot first and then follow with the other. Does that make sense? I'll do that instead of coming to a full-stop so it keeps my heart rate up. I hope that makes sense. How's it going for you?!

My legs are so shot. But I had to take advantage of the nice weather outside. It's supposed to rain again for the next 2 days so I won't be able to run. I'll be focusing on inside circuits and jumprope the next 2 days.

It's weird. My arms are looking more and more toned but I don't even feel like I do that much with them. I do more with my legs and they aren't toning up as fast. Strange.



Oh and today marks 1 month of being back in the gym on a regular basis. Go me! =)

You are doing sooooo good!! I love the positive attitude you bring to the gym! You are working so hard for August and its gonna love you back for that :) Your legs look nice too and your arms!

Today was LONG. I didn't workout before work. I worked from 9:30AM-7:00PM. I got off work and I had errands to run. Work meeting on Sunday and I'm organizing it and I have so much to do before it. Got home around 8:30PM, changed into my gym clothes and hit up the gym.

It's always so weird. I always feel like I'm going to be a complete slug at the gym after work but omg I always have SO much energy. My goal is to burn 400 calories in 30 minutes on the elliptical. Today I pushed out 440. I think that's my best yet? I was SO wired on my drive back from the gym. It wasn't raining yet, kinda sprinkling, so I came home and jogged the 2 miles. 1/2 mile I cranked out and just pushed myself as hard as I could go. I got it done in 3:30. Oh man. The wired me quickly wore out =P

Today was my...7th day working out in a row? I was contemplating taking a rest day but I was down another pound this morning. 171lbs!!!!! Just 1lb away for my goal for the month. GO ME. Totally pushed my fat ass into the gym tonight. Sooo motivating. I wanted to take my rest day on the 1st after my official weigh-in but that will be 11 days of working out straight. Not a good idea. We'll see...I'm taking it day by day.

Okay I am drenched in sweat. Shower real quick and sleep. Have to be up at 5AM.

Also boo on me for not eating enough today. Right now I'm at ~1100 calories. If even that. Really annoyed with myself. Tomorrow I need to hit 1500 calories!

I have to say that your workouts are really quite amazing already! I think p90x would probably just complement what you are already doing but you are doing a lot! I just go to the gym and just get on the treadmill and and listen to music lol I also contemplate working out everyday and the only reason I don't is because my 7th day is so jam packed with crap I would be so drained but i do plan to do a bit of working out when I get the time. I want it to be fairly light that won't cause muscle stress like light hikes and stuff. I don't know I mean it's not like you stop walking on rest day lol.

You feel sooo good when you workout right! I hate being like why the heck did I stop? I'd be where I want to be right now! I don't mind eating badly or drinking badly but I want to keep getting up the next day and working out.

You are totally gonna make your August goal! Is there something in August or was it just your goal? I picked June because I want to wear comfortable clothing without feeling too self conscious about it. You are doing so fab :)

Is your sister better?

Girlie! You're just tearing up those workouts! They're amazing! I love how motivated you are and how hard you push yourself- it's inspirational! I tend not to push myself hard enough! You rock!

Your legs are looking awesome! It's all that cardio and skipping! Speaking of skipping- I gotta get on that this weekend! My plan is to push myself for 15min! 1 min skipping, 30sec break! Nothing compared to your awesomeness! But I will get there ;)

And OMG 171!!!? THAT'S FANTASTIC!!!!! *happy dance*!!! You are working SOO SOO hard!!! You'll probably find that you're down more than a pound by the end of next week :)

But remember to take a day off! You don't want to injure yourself and then be off more than just a single day! But you know all that- and really, it's how you feel!

Your legs look like they're getting toned to me...but then again i have not seen them before lol So I guess what I can say is I can clearly see some muscle definition going on :) Keep up the great work Jes! Your workout routines are awesome!
 
Ahhhhh you girls are just AWESOME!!! Thank you SO much for the encouraging words. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the crosstrainer at the gym and I was on my way home. I didn't really feel like doing more today. But then I saw your guys comments and I was like, "I CAN DO THIS!!!" So I came home and jogged a mile and did a few other exercises. Thank you girls SO much! You guys really have no idea how helpful and motivating it was <333

I didn't really want to go to the gym but I pushed myself in there. I was up at 5AM. I had to take my sister to the hospital and then I had to drop off a cake order for the work meeting on Sunday. Got back home around 7AM. Watched Glee for about an hour and then I fell back asleep. I slept from like 9AM-1:30PM. I only got like 4 hours of sleep last night so I was planning on taking a nap anyways.

I feel amazing. I really do. I'm soooo glad I went!

So I have a confession. I started to watch what I eat and workout because of a boy. I know, I know. He's one of my best friends but…I like him. I want him to notice me! That's what really motivated me to get back in there. Now that I'm losing the weight, I feel just amazing. I know I want a better lifestyle too though. I was just feel guilty and like I was doing it for the wrong reasons. But I'm not. I want this for MYSELF. I'm so much happier with myself. The gym has once again become a way for me to work out all my frustrations. I'm happier, more confident, and this is a challenge for me so far. I LOVE challenges. So what if he was an inspiration to get back in there initially but this is for ME.

Tonight I'm going out with friends. There is going to be drinking and I do plan on drinking. I worked out hard this week and my eating was as perfect as I possibly can get it to be. I'm going to look HOT tonight and enjoy myself. I'm sooo excited about getting dressed up. I CAN'T WAIT =P Lol I am such a dork. I know.

It's okay! I REALLY want to look amazing for summer.. yes my health and future babies.. but I want to bring my sexy back ;p As long as we start doing whats good for us then the reason's don't matter just as long as we keep doing whats good for us.

I really love dressing up too because it just makes you feel so pretty its like an instant boost to my night! I hope you had a fabulous night! And had some good rest lol

Isn't it great how working out can make you feel so good! Sometimes I feel like I could spend hours upon hours there!! Just casually striding away on the crosstrainer!! hehehe

you know what, you don't work this hard for someone else! You may have started this for a boy, but like you said- you're not doing it for you because it's making you happier, more confident and getting you to where you want to be in your life! :) And that's fabulous! You can tell from your posts how happy and filled with energy you are!

Ok, now back to the boy!! (I have to live vicariously through all of you!! )...so this started out with a boy, and now that you're uber confident, happy and SEXY - has he noticed? I was hesitant to take a rest day but I needed it. I think this would have been like my 10th day working out. No bueno. Also I worked from 9:30AM-6:30PM. I usually leave the house at 9AM and the gym doesn't open up until 7AM on the weekends and it closes at 7PM. Boo.

Oh man. AMAZING workout. I ran pretty much halfway to my gym and then back. I was aiming for 6 miles but my legs are jello. Actually my ass still hurts from the lunges and squats on Friday. Now it REALLY freaking hurts. I feel amazing. And I'm like 50 shades darker. I tan sooooooo fast. Damnit.

I'm going to run 5.5-6 miles about once a week. Maybe twice. Just reallyyyy push myself. I haven't ran this far in a long time. It felt so good.

Okay, I have so much to do before my work meeting tonight. I will catch up with you girls after my meeting.

Sometimes, starting for the wrong reasons leads to the better reasons... Good for you :) Your workouts are AMAZING! I have super crappy knees, so I'm not sure that running will ever be in my future, and for that, I'm very jealous, lol.

Today is just not my day. I'm so frustrated today. My eyes have teared up quite a few times. I'm being a baby. I'm going to work them out. Take out all my anger. I'm going to run it off. Aiming for 6 miles today!

Time to turn the day around. It's 2:46PM and I still have half the day left. I can make it better.

My crazy always happy friend once told me her secret to being happy is because she just chose to be happy in the morning.. I haven't been able to master this skill but I hope you still had a good day :)
 
This month is off to a crappy start. I hurt my left foot somehow. It hurts to walk on it. It feels okay if I walk on the toes though. I can't run. Running has become just a really good way for me to relieve stress and I just thoroughly enjoy it so it really sucks not being able to do it.

I guess it's just the elliptical, crosstrainer, and upper body circuits until my foot feels better. I was really bummed earlier but I have to let my foot heal. I'm just hoping to maintain my weight this week.

I'm praying my foot feels better in 2-3 days. I miss running and my own kick-my-ass workouts. =( I'm off work today so I'm going to ice it through-out the day and take ibuprofen every 6 hours.

I've also decided not to weigh myself even once a week. I will be weighing myself once a month, every 1st. I just get too discouraged when I step on that scale. I set challenges for myself and I LOVE those and I do well but then I get on the stupid scale and it's just too discouraging. I enjoy the challenges, I love working out, so for now...that's all I'm going to focus on. Just focus on what I enjoy. The scale can wait.

Eating is going to be in the 1200-1400 range until my foot feels better and I feel like I'm doing my usual full-intensity workouts again.

O no!!! I hope your foot feels better :( Maybe you can do the pool for a bit? I also really love using exercise to calm down. Its so much better then snacking on everything cause you end up feeling better about yourself afterwards!

I think you will perfectly fine as far as weight too! Your doing a clean diet until we invade the cheesecake factory on the 22nd so just relax that foot! :) You will reach your goals because you are working hard! I don't know anyone who hasn't lost weight when they ate well and exercised and you've already lost weight so be proud :) I have had to repeat that to myself sometimes as well.. "noone who has worked out and ate well has ever not lost weight and I will too at some point"

Hope your foot heals up quick!
