wow, the kicking didn't help yesterday! maybe today!! i'll show you what i mean - here's the disaster that was monday 16 January (must be self-sabotage month)

b: scrambled eggs + baked beans and a tblspn cottage cheese

l: smoked salmon, five bean salad mix, lo fat fetta, beetroot, cucumber, tblspn light sour cream

d: packet of crisps, diet coke.

snacks: several chocolate biscuits, one chocolate bar

i drove for three hours yesterday to collect my son. i'd been not eating at all during these trips (i do it twice every two weeks) but lately i've lost control.

i'm screwed!

l: movie popcorn, choc top icecream, m&ms

d: roasted capsicum stuffed with fetta and pine nuts and tomato

water 3 ltrs, coffee 4, diet coke 1

another crappy day, no exercise. i guess i'm in a rut. will keep hoping and trying though...

thanks newleaf and trusylver! i didn't have the heart to post my food the past few days again - being on holidays has really thrown me! but now i'm doing the ten pound and the two week challenge, and i've FINALLY done some exercise (pilates) today and have eaten well so far. i feel that i have to do well now for the sake of the challenge :)

Congratulations on your exercise! :) It is very hard to get out of the holiday eating habits. But you'll be fully back into the swing of things shortly! ;)

so yesterday i had..

b: ww cereal with skim milk

l: left over chinese food - rice and seafood, not much

d: 2 no fat yoghurts

i didn't eat much at dinner as i was going to a birthday party at a bar near my house. i wanted to save calories for champagne. i resisted all the tempting food they offered and stuck to three glasses (over about 6 hours)

water - 4 ltrs (its really hot here) and coffee and tea. exercise was a pilates dvd..

enjoying the challenge and feeling a bit more positive :)

d: kfc - but no fries, just a burger, not great but maybe could be worse?

today

b: ww cerealwith skim milk

l: eggs and salmon and small amount of 5 bean mix

d: turkish bread pizza (with tomato based sauce and lofat cheese) small piece.

both days - 4ltrs water (still so hot!) +tea and coffee

today - exercise, 40 mins on treadmill and 15 mins on bike
 
thanks newleaf! really, its the challenge - it was so very hot yesterday, i was just going to veg out (i'm still on holidays for a couple of weeks) but i thought, no i have to try for the team. i was only hoping to do 20 mins on the treadmill but i was so inspired - hoorah for team hoorah :D
 
today's food:

b: special k with milk (i only had full milk which a friend brought over yesterday - bought some skim this afternoon!)

l: i made rolls for a friend and my son. i had the contents but not the bread! so, one piece of salami, some homous, lettuce, onion, cucumber, carrot and one olive

d: home made chilli (kidney beans, onion, garlic, tomato + cumin and coriander) with one tbspn lo fat sour cream

water - 4 ltrs, blessedly cooler today, but getting hot again the next few days. coffee and tea

exercise - couldn't get anyone to watch my son, so i did pilates at home :)

i checked the scales today, seems i am back to where i was before i had my fall off the wagon - so my sig remains correct :)
 
SHeidi, your food looks excellent too. You're really doing so well!! Glad your weight is back to where you were before. Congrats!!

today (wednesday 25/1/06)

b: special k with skim milk

l: scrambled eggs + baked beans. one no fat yoghurt

d: chicken curry with basmati rice

snack: one stick of kit kat - d'oh!

water - 4 ltrs, coffee, one coke zero

exercise - pilates dvd.

i did some handweights last night after i posted, may do them tonight as well.

test for tomorrow - 3 hour drive. last time i had heaps of treats - my son will expect some, but we are leaving pretty early so hopefully he'll just want breakfast and then we won't stop until we meet his dad an hour and a half into the drive. then i have to not have anything on the way home (by myself). i'm also going to a barbie tomorrow afternoon, so must be good. i'm doing it for the challenge :D
 
SHeidi, I am so impressed with your strength!! :) I'd have a hard time not munching in the car also. Thankfully I don't have any long trips coming up! I can't wait to hear how your success went on your drive.
 
thanks newleaf! i'm very happy to report that all i had in the car was 600mls of water :D just have the barbie and dinner as the rest of the day's challenge - oh and hoping to get time at the gym - its closing early today due to a public holiday here..
 
Ooh yes Happy Australia Day!! sorry if I am a bit late (time diff. and all!) :)

I am so impressed that water is all you had during the drive. I certainly couldn't of consumed that much water, because I'd be stopping for a bathroom break frequently! ;)
 
thanks, newleaf - it was a fun day yesterday :)

yeah the bathroom is oft visited when you start drinking lots of water :D i've found though that i don't need to go as often as i did initially. yesterday i had a stop halfway so i made use of that :D

Food for 26 / 01 / 06

b: special k with skim milk

l: barbie with chicken, one rissole (like a pattie), salad (greek and rice)

d: prawns, salmon, rice, avocado, tomato, mint, cucumber, tuna, rye bread

4 ltrs water, lots of wine :S coffee

not tooo bad considering lunch and dinner were two barbies at friends places. will try and make up for the lack of exercise today :)
