My kindergarten had about ten kids per year so no dividing us up for anything :D

Sometimes I wish we all lived closer so I could just drop in once the mead is ready :p

My primary school was similar(only 2 rooms), Llama, but we had houses at High School.

there is only 2 classrooms at her school but the kids are split into 2 houses. She has enjoyed the running practice in the leadup each morning at school, but I think she will be tired when I pick her up shortly.

looked at grip strength, the muscles involved and how it is affected by wrist position, was asked compare to chart of averages. I always find the grip tests fun in tutorials usually the strongest by far and today was no different.

I know I drop off the radar a bit during uni semesters, 3 assessments this week, 1 down 2 to go next week is mid semester break followed by mid semester exams.

Had a big reaction today, taken antihistamine and hope I will not still be sleepy from it tomorrow for driving to Uni.

bit late eating tonight, forgot how long it takes to cook pork, it is resting now after cooking it with the rotisserie in the air fryer. Will slice and serve shortly then crash into bed. Little miss has already eaten and is fast asleep after a big day.

More important things than internet forums exist. I think by now we all now you're just very busy. Sucks about the allergic reaction though: stay safe on the road!

No major side effects from antihistamine preventing drive to uni, uni was focussed on the spine and muscles of the torso today with an in depth look at lumbar spinal pain from flexion under load and reinforcing why the McGill Curlup is so much better than a traditional crunch or situp for the abs and combined with the properties of ligaments when over stretched makes sense why so many people have long term back pain in a way that I should now be able to explain it better to clients. I will do the 2 remaining quizzes for the week tomorrow.

My only problem with the McGill curlup is that a lot of people (and it may well be different for the athletes you work with; my patients tend to be... sedentary) press down on their pelvic floor when they think they're pulling it in and it can take a lot of time to coach them on that front.

Yep there does seem to be a bit of a difference, I find athletes often have reasonable muscle awareness but are also very prone to do too much and often don't particularly like being corrected. My degree is focused on the performance side of exercise but there are large areas that crossover with clinical, I think learning to get inside their head to motivate them to do the right thing is challenging when you are pushing against all the influencers online who spew rubbish.

Very true, sadly. And a lot of people find pelvic floor related anything icky so that doesn't help. Then again: knowing how to brace you core for heavy loads is more important for strength athletes than for office workers. I remember a Youtuber who found it very funny that she'd (sometimes? often?) push out her tampon while lifting on her period and I considered commenting on that but didn't because... Well, I'm a middle-aged nobody and I don't really like leaving know-it-all Youtube comments. I lost sight of her around that time and when I looked her up again a year or more later it turned out she'd had to stop lifting due to fractured vertebrae of which she didn't know when they might've happened so they weren't due to a fall or other accident.

I am in a few female powerlifting groups and the regulars are very quick to suggest new members who complain of peeing on the platform or popping out tampons to go and see a pelvic floor specialist pointing out it is not "normal" no matter what memes and influencers say about simply wearing a pad etc.

My bladder control is not quite what it was when younger, I can't "hold it" for as long especially when getting up in the morning but I have never peed on a lifting platform due to not being able to brace correctly.

last week I had a horror experience with one of my assessment quizzes, internet problems meant I did not answer all the question in a speed quiz, got the marks this morning and still managed to pass with 54 % much to my relief as I only answered 18 out of 30 questions. The lab quiz for the same subject was 100% musculature for the hand is so complex but I nailed shoulder function.

busy week this week, 4 assessment quizzes this week, 2 completed, 2 to go, practice in lab today for practical assessment on taking ROM measurements, straight forward and some of I have done before. so long as I don't freeze up in the assessment I should be ok.

Enrolled in subjects for next semester, Motor control and learning, Nutrition for health and fitness

not bad, In the lab today we were analysing joint angles from video of ourselves throwing a fast ball, it was painful lol, I have tricep and pec DOMS for throwing in 100 pushups at the end of training in prep for the annual pushup challenge
