I think you are returning today or tomorrow.... I have been MIA so I came to check on you and you were gone... HOPE your trip was wonderful, but I hope it's nice to be HOME too!

Hope you did well with your diet... sounds like you had it well planned out BUT ifyou didn't.... no big deal start new TODAY!

Home Sweet Home Again

Hello everyone!!!! I'm back!!!! :D

Thanks to all of you who stopped by while I was away. It was so nice to check in today after 22 hours of travelling yesterday and read all your nice messages. It was a bright spot in my very jet lagged day. And rosered, you crack me up!!!!! I'm planning on treadmilling it tomorrow but I'll see how it goes.

I had a great time away and I really did good foodwise. In fact alot of the time I was hungry. I really don't like eating alot while I'm away because you never know when something is going to upset your tummy. And I've come to conclusion that I'd rather have hunger pains than any kind of tummy discomfort, you know what I mean?

And I hardly ate anything yesterday since I was flying so I am allowing myself a free day today. After a week of feeling hungry I felt like I needed a day to just eat what I want. Tomorrow I'm going to do a detox day of liquid shakes and fruit. And then by Friday I will be back on track. If I still feel jet lagged tomorrow I will leave the treadmill until this weekend.

I didn't weigh while I was away and after the way I ate on vacation (some days I'm pretty sure I didn't even get 1000 calories in) I thought for sure I would have lost weight. But this morning I was 0.08 of a pound more than when I left. :confused: I'm hoping that was just water weight from travelling.

I'm looking forward to catching up with all of your diaries....it may take me a couple days but I will be dropping by.

Missed you all!!!!!! So glad to be back home. :D
 
Welcome back Scarlett, we're glad you're back too! I always gain weight when I travel, I swell up for some reason. I can't explain it, but try to resist the temptation to weigh yourself right away, it's not usually a good idea. Be healthy this week!
 
Hey gorgeous good to see you are back, don’t go patting me on the back to much hun you will make me choke lol I have been a bad girl this week… I had an accident at work and cut my finger and have been back and forth to the doctors (and it hurts) boo hoo for me lol. So of course I have been making myself feel better with food. I am bent over love kick my butt… Im glad you had a good time while you were away.
 
SO glad you have returned!!!!! I always retain water when I fly..so Don't worry, just give yourself time to get back in the swing of things and then weigh in! Sounds like you did incredibly well, so YAY!!!!

Well, I was giving myself Wednesday as a free calorie day but it extended into Thursday as well. Now that I've really been paying attention to signs my body gives me I notice that when I'm tired I feel hungry. I'm not really hungry but I think my body is just saying I need something (rest) but it equates to a feeling of needing food. So this week I have been ravenous!!!!

Friday I got a little back on track and ate 1680 calories and today I ate 1435. It wasn't any help that our refrigerator and cupboards were bare from being on vacation. But I got the energy to go grocery shopping and we are now stocked with loads of fruits, veggies and healthy stuff. Which really reflected in my calories today.

It felt really good to eat yummy healthy food today. I had a lovely baby spinach salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, dried cranberries, feta and pine nuts for lunch. Then for dinner I carmelized some onions and rolled them up with horseradish in some sliced roast beef luncheon meat. Added a tomato, basil and mozzarella salad on the side and then had peach yogurt with fresh blueberries for dessert. Did you know that there are only 38 calories in 50 blueberries? WOW!

So my next step is to get back on my treadmill. I had high hopes each day this week and then never did it. But hopefully tomorrow. If I don't a few of you might kick my butt!!!!
 
Sounds like you are doing great Scarlett! Everyone has "those days" where you get a little food happy. :). But you seem to be back on track and doing great! Hope the rest of your day is well!
 
Scarlett, I have just gotten to your diary. There are so many here. Very inspiring. What has helped you be so successful (besides the obvious caloric intake and support from the forum)?
 
Im ready to kick your butt Miss Scarlett if you don’t get back to it. My finger will be fine love I just have to stop feeling sorry for myself lol. Good news I may be getting a treadmill this week … get my legs moving.
