So, I tried on some clothes today that still don't 'fit' but are getting there! I went from a size 22 after pregnancy to a 20 when I started dieting and exercising - dropped to a size 16 now and am able to fit and button up size 14 pant

I am doing some exercises today while hubby has the kiddos up at his parents house - and cleaning my house/cross stitching/working on knitting and drinking tea...and watching Designated Survivor. I don't feel like exercising right now but I NEED to win this dietbet and if that's my motivation to get me over a hump, so be it!

I know I won't always need to workout this crazy/hard or diet as extremely as I am right now but I'm definitely liking the boost (albeit it SHORT TERM because I want a freaking chocolate cupcake with PB frosting).
 
Hey all,

Got to the gym yesterday and burned 800 calories - 40 minutes running, 20 minutes biking, 15 minutes elliptical. Ow. Good news though! My dietbet ends tomorrow (the 4% in 4 week one) and I am sitting at 217.6lbs - I needed to be at 218.3lbs to win! I WON!!!! Woot woot!

Going again tonight and trying for a 1000 calorie burn. Kinda crazy but it should be fun to try - I'm staying away from the bike though. I really hate it. I love biking...I hate the exercise bike.
 
Well done, Sam! Can´t stand the exercise bike either, but I couldn´t run for 40 minutes either so you win :)
 
What is it about that bike? Seriously, I LOVE biking outside, on paths, on the road - whatever. But a stationary bike? Boring! And it takes forever to burn a high number of calories.

Cannot wait!
 
Well, I just booked a B&B as part of hubby and my roadtrip! Is http://www.daisyhillbedandbreakfast.ca/ not the cutest place? The wedding is in April and we're driving out so it'll be an 11hr day and then I am going to make a special effort to go for a run that evening :) Yep, already planning April workouts!!

I am so exhausted from the super low-calorie/workouts of the past week so today is a complete rest day. I'm sore, I'm tired and I'm actually dizzy so I've let up on the coffee and added an extra 300 calories into my diet for the next week (putting me at about 1600-1700). I've only got to lose about 5lbs in the next DietBet round so I've got this without keeping up with this insanity of constant workouts with less fuel for my body. So far, today has consisted of coffee, oatmeal for breakfast. Dinner was an apple and a protein shake with cashew milk. I picked up espresso protein powder - it's amazing! I've also been nibbling on things - a couple ravioli's from Isaac's dish, 1/4 of a kinder egg, a tbsp of PB...just sort of a 'meh' day.

Honestly, the weather is an ice storm right now and it's just a blah day so we've been watching Daniel Tiger and I've been reading the TrueBlood series (again).

I think that's about all that's going on right now! I'm seriously excited for April though - it'll actually be our first vacation without the kids and our first vacation as a couple! When we got married, we had Isaac so he stayed with my parents for a night and we checked into a hotel - this is VERY needed. We are both exhausted and ready for a break - the reason we're driving out is for a few extra hours together which will be fun! I love this guy <3

Anyways, back to mom-mode!

I think you more than earned your rest day. Glad to hear phase two isn´t AS tough! Daisy Hill looks really cute and cozy.
 
Well, wouldn't you know on weigh-in day for the 6 month diet bet landed on the day I started my period. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!

I went from 217.6lbs to 226lbs in a day. Again, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

Thankfully, I ate super clean yesterday, no added salt, lots of water, a 30 minute run at the gym + a 30 minute fitness blender workout and this morning, weighed in at 220.2lbs - so I hit my goal! The water weight struggle is real and it is NOT okay.

I have to remind myself that the numbers on the scale are lying right now - I'm female, this crap happens. I didn't actually gain weight! Honest. I didn't really gain like 9lbs overnight...right? right.

It's still irritating though! BUT - now I know that weigh in day is 'around' the time of 'that time of the month' and I'm going to try to drop an extra couple of lbs this month.

This month, I need to go from 217.6 to 213.8 - weight to lose? 3.8lbs! I can do this but I'm NOT getting complacent. I need to keep eating clean, keep up my protein intake, keep working out and keep working HARD! This round, my goal is to do 4 rounds of Fitness Blender's 5 day workout for busy people. It's 5 - 30 minute workouts and a 2 day rest.

Anyways, that's that. I'm making tofu scramble for supper tonight with mushroom, green pepper + tomatoes. Dinner is a shake (slim fast + click espresso protein powder) and snacks are fruit (YUM).

Right. To do so you´d have to eat over 30,000 kcal in one day. That´s like... 50 bars of super decadent chocolate. Overnight. You didn´t do that so it didn´t happen.
 
Woke up this morning at 221lbs. I am still remembering that my salt intake was higher yesterday (hello, chicken bacon at 70 cal for 3 slices!) and I ate at like 11pm (I had 20 chips - yes, I counted and yes, they were DELICIOUS. I didn't even portion them out, I just said I'm having one serving and did!).

Got dishes done, kids fed, floor swept, big kid off to gymnastics with his daddy, little kid finger painting and cleaned up (He's so freaking cute!).

I did 2 fitness blender workouts yesterday - the first was with my son who is two so it was a lot of fun time and working out but being super careful. The second was my husband surprisingly wanted to work out with me (or at least, agreed to) so we did the same Day 2 workout over again. My shoulders are KILLING me.

I've decided to amp up my fitness even more for this month. I've got 27 days left in my round two dietbet so the plan is as follows.

Week 1 (5/7 days)
Fitness Blender (Includes more weights than I normally do)

2 minutes each:
- Push ups
- crunches
- Burpees (I HATE BURPEES)
- Plank

-Gym x5

1 1000 calorie burn weekly (inc in gym session)

Weekly, I'll increase my 2 minute exercises by 30 seconds and my 1000 calorie burn by 100.

Since it's about fitness, I'm also including getting my 96 oz of water in daily. Food is pretty good lately - lots of fresh fruit and veg, a lot more protein and keeping up with the nutritional shakes if I skip a meal (and even for breakfast that I never eat lol). I'm not counting calories religiously but I'm within 1300-1500 approximately and I'm getting hungry if I forget to eat so seems to be working. I'm losing weight and my muscle definition is getting a lot better - WOOT!

I'm going to cap my eating to 7pm this month. I am notorious for eating later at night and it tends to be crappy choices with hubby (chips, ice cream and Subway yummy). I know this can't be a hard and fast rule because there will be times that I run late in the future but for 30 days, I'd like to try to keep my eating to before 7 and make sure that I get the best sleep I can. This is going to be tough on my body and I want to try to plan for as much success as possible so I made sure I'm NOT busy this month - last month was crazy! Easier 30 days!

Finally, I am going to be on here daily with accountability - and probably some ranting. Okay, definitely some ranting.
