When does school start? It must be exciting, but I have to admitt that is snuck up fast.
 
Hiya Trops :)

School starts Jan. 12th! I'm so nervous/excited... It's going to definitely put me into a new mode in the way that I spend my time. I know I need it though. I'm still working on getting some of the final things in order, I still have to get a few immunizations, etc... But then it will be on! :)

My classes will be as follows:

Pathophysiology 8-noon Weds
Pharmacology 1-3 Weds
Nursing Fund. 8-noon Thurs

Testing usually is every week on Thurs from 1-3pm
I also have my lab/clinical day on Monday from 7-5pm...

Then I will fit work in somewhere between. I know I will for sure work a 12hr on Tues. and Sat. and then maybe two 6's on the evenings of Weds and Thurs. (after school)...

That sounds like a great schedule. Especially if you can get some studying in at work, like you thought you might.
 
Hey Sam! I hear ya on the busy schedule... we can do it though! Gotta make time for ourselves no matter how busy the day gets right? Last night JZ and I were discussing how much I have going on daily, starting in January, and I was questioning how I would have the energy to do everything and STILL manage to eat right and exercise. Well this morning I got a quote in my email and I think it will benefit you too so I will share. :)

Hey all!

Hope everyone had a nice New Year's Eve last night and you aren't fighting too bad of hangovers today :coolgleamA:

I, myself had to work early this morning, so I spent New Years at home watching CNN... This clip is pretty funny, especially at the end, lol...


Tracking my calories today and here on out. This weekend is my Bday, so I'm planning on not going too overboard, and my friends are all partied out from New Years I'd imagine, so it'll probably be a pretty tame time, whatever I end up doing.

So... Yesterday went alright. I kept track of calories, etc. I didn't get a gym workout in because the gym was closed due to the holiday and today I'm finishing up my 60 hour work week at this hell hole that pays the bills :coolgleamA: so I will probably not go tonite and opt to instead jump into bed and catch up on some sleep... Funny how I'm already thinking of the next time I get to sleep and I just woke up a little over an hour ago... I think when I get back into the regular exercise that my body will be able to do more and go farther on less sleep (6-7 hours instead of 8-9)... I'm a bitch about my sleep ;)

Sleep is my friend I tell myself... I need to learn to get by with less though, because sometimes I feel like I overdo it, and I hate the way that makes me feel.

I think I remember you saying that you were a fan of brewing your own green tea and drinking it? I started doing this about a month ago and it's awesome! I brew it, and then drink it on the ice in the morning, as my "fix" instead of something gross like diet coke (I'm off that junk!). I have this place in my city called The Tea Grotto and I've gotten some amazing different green teas there...

Sleep is my friend I tell myself... I need to learn to get by with less though, because sometimes I feel like I overdo it, and I hate the way that makes me feel.

Oh wow...yeah that's GREAT for you!!! I'm drinking some as we speak ;)!!! LOL.....it really does help me melt away...and not to mention the energy, and it keeps you full, and has antioxidants and I ADORE IT!! :beating: I'm also going to start incorporating my Psyllium Seeds again....for POO BABIES!!!! YAY!!! It's been so long since I've seen them...LOL....and I miss em!!! LOL!!! :cheers2:

YAY!!! hahaha.....CHEERS to POO BABIES!!! I can't wait to incorporate them into some shakes or something...a little at a time, or else CONSTIPATION...LOL...don't want any of that there....actually quite the opposite!!! :D:!!!....

...I drink my green tea the same...PLAIN JANE....no additives....!!! ;)

When it comes to sleep, your body needs what it needs. I got myself into a world of trouble by trying to force my body into getting by with the same amount of sleep that most people need. :(

You need to give your body the amount of sleep it needs....

I will take your advice into consideration Judy. For some reason I've always felt like my body needs more sleep than the average person, lol... I'm sure school will get me into a better sleeping pattern. I have a hard time getting to sleep in the first place, my mind just won't shut up sometimes!

Lately I've been eating almonds... quite a bit.

I found these flavors at the grocery store, Wasabi and Soy, and Salt and Vinegar. They are so good I can definitely eat them instead of potato chips. I think they are Blue Diamond Brand.

Also, just for laughs.
I've been listening to this for about a week now, probably like 3 times a day.
It is so funny to me. Its a pretty funny prank phone call using a soundboard... I love shit like this! Listen to the whole thing! hehe


Also, this is my indie muscian friend, Ashlee K. This is my absolute FAVORITE song of hers, and I found it on youtube! Its about witches, VAMPIRES, and stuff :coolgleamA::D It's called Dark Ones and she used to dedicate this song to me when she'd play at the Huka, and me and JoLynn would be drunk and sing along... Ah- the good old days!

Sam, speaking of school, what are you taking in school? Your courses sound like you're going for something medically-related :)

I'm becoming a Registered Nurse... It's a 2 year program I got myself into here at SLCC. The schooling is pretty daunting and I'm going to give it my best shot and see how it goes... :)
