Sam's from Chunk to Hunk Journal :)

~*Happy New Year Sam!*~

I tell ya Sam, I have had the worst bout with insomnia and the main reason is my mind won't shut up! lol..(I have always said that as well.) :)

Work really knocked it out for me!

I bet school will do that for you!

Hope you have a Goal Reachin' Weekend!

I'm becoming a Registered Nurse... It's a 2 year program I got myself into here at SLCC. The schooling is pretty daunting and I'm going to give it my best shot and see how it goes... :)

Do you get much time off or is the curriculum quite intensive?

I think that's a wonderful pursuit!!! I'm absolutely thrilled for you :)
Yes, it will be daunting but you can do it. If you have any questions, just ask. I did a couple of years of med school. I might be able to help you with some stuff.

I just wanted to stop by and say hi...and apologize for my terribly self absorbed posts recently.

How's the snow situation out there? We haven't gotten hardly any snow here this year. I wouldn't mind a good dumping.

Hey cutie!

I need to get that Madge book soon, as I can't wait to talk with you about it.

I'll try to order one soon, as I collect her stuff, and this is one I surely don't want to miss out on. lol

I've been away a few weeks, any updates on the man front?

Thank you all for stopping in :)

It's official, I am 26 now, as of Sunday. My birthday was pretty good. Nice and tame tho ;)

I feel like I've been doing pretty well on my eating, not necessarily tracking calories like I said I would but watching portions and such, and making healthier choices. Going grocery shopping tonite so I will have my fridge full of healthy options.

Way to get to the store for backup! whoo hoo!!!

Happy Birthday too! 26 was a great year for me!! Can't wait to see you turn up the heat!

Thanks Miss JB!!!

So, I noticed there is a cool challenge going on around here with a lot of my great friends on here participating. I totally know I'm too late to join, which is okay, so I will be an excellent cheerleader for you all ;) I hope there is another one after this 6 week one and I will probably get involved in that. I just thought right now with me starting up school here in the next week I should probably get my feet wet with that and get a feel for it so I know how I'm going to divide my time. I would have hated it if I would have joined and then brought one of the teams down with my slacker-school ness! I will for sure join the next one though! :)

Today is my Friday and I'm excited about that. This weekend my friend is taking me out Karokeeing as a belated b-day present. I'm excited about that. It's been awhile since I've been "out" and I want to get all beautified (lol) and go mingle ;)

My poor dad was in a car accident about a week and a half ago... He is absolutely fine but his car is totalled... So the insurance company is sending him a nice check to go get new car... Woo hooo for him!

Kiss a cute boy or two for me!!!! Since I can't anymore ;) That sounds like fun, I'm still disappointed you live thousands of miles away so I can't take you to San Francisco's scene

Sam, you're half as old as I am ... I wish I could turn back the hands of time and be 26 again :D

Although the caveat to that would be I would want to know then what I know now. I would be too dangerous ;)

A fridge full of healthy options? Sounds good to me!!! Your brain will need lots of healthy options to keep up to your curriculum this semester, so eat well, and go get 'em Sam! :sifone:

Thanks Val. I would love to make it over to San Fran someday. It seems to me like it's the gay man's Mecca and I need to make a pilgrimage to the homeland, lol ;)

My dad's insurance isn't going up at all because it wasn't his fault. It was the other lady's... who luckily HAD insurance. I guess I should have put that into the first post, lol... He was just mad at first because the car was his baby (Subaru WRX, silver, he loved it)... I had to remind him that luckily no one was hurt and her insurance would take care of everything and he couldn't have avoided this accident really because she hit him.... He was better after I calmed him down a bit and he had a glass of red wine and sat by the fire and watched an old western :)

San Fran is a gay man's Mecca, but I think Miami might be a close second ...

Sam, I'm glad to hear your dad wasn't injured in the accident. And you're such a sweet guy for calming him down ;)

Thanks :) We seem to have that affect on each other. He calms me down and I calm him down. He's a very very chill guy but when his temper flares up it's like "hold on to your fuckin' hat", and I've been told I'm the same way. I just worry too much about shit I can't control, and my dad reminds me of that and lets me know everything will be okay. He's a great guy.

Miami, huh? I guess that will be trip number two. I must say I haven't been too much into traveling before but I'd like to break that habit :)

I tend to worry about stuff I can't control, too. It's crazy ... but even now, I still do it and Matt just looks at me and says "Why do you do this to yourself?" :D

You're so lucky to have a great dad :)

Yeah, Miami of all places ;)

It's tough to travel when you're in school because finances are tight, however, the last time I was in San Francisco was 25 years ago (do you think it's changed? :D) ... and I've never been to Miami.

I'm hoping to go to San Fran this spring (with an empty suitcase, because I've got to stop off of Madame S/Mister S and get some cool stuff), and I would really like to go to Miami when the weather starts getting crappy here because I'd like to bake in the sun and do absolutely NOTHING while being surrounded by gorgeous men :p

That sounds like a plan there :coolgleamA:

Finances are pretty tight but I've also been a fearful flyer and I need to overcome it. It's just me in my crazy "what if" head, lol...

My dad is great. I'm very lucky. Unfortunately a few years ago he married a woman that I don't get along with that well. We've actually come a long way but it's still not that great... It is what it is and I'm grateful I have him though. :)
