Sam's from Chunk to Hunk Journal :)

It's good to see you back Sammy!! I've missed ya! I love going to the zoo, even though I have to BEG my sons to go with me now, damn it!! Oh well, it's still fun to go. Don't worry so much about the weigh in, since you've been sick for awhile I'm sure it will be just fine!! just focus on getting back to your normal gym routine next week and really sweat up a storm then. Your doing fine, don't get discouraged over a bad week. Trust me, we all need a little time off of working out and eating healthy every now and again. I'll check back next week to see how you did. DON'T STRESS, your going to be fine!! Have a very nice weekend, hope you get that needed sunshine, I also have a tan I need to start working on and FAST, summer is almost over already. uggg... later babes!

Hey all. Made it to work this morning... Tired but, that is usual. I really don't think I'm too much of a morning person, especially when I just have to come sit on my ass and just "be here" at work. I didn't go out or do much of anything the past two nights, which is good. Keeping diet well within calorie range. I need to work on the specific foods a little better though. I am having a hard time with veggies lately. It seems as though I would rather eat anything but a salad these days, lol.

Last night I saw the movie "Stardust." I thought it was very good. Very entertaining. I hate movie theater leg room! I didn't choose where I sat last night, someone else picked up my ticket beforehand because the seating was reserved. My legs hurt by the end of the show because I had to keep them a certain way to avoid bumping the seat in front of me too many times with my knees...

-Sam:)

yeah, I'm not sure who decided those seats were comfortable. I always end up with my knees cramped up by the end of it, unless I'm bad & put up my feet on the seat in front of me, but you can't always do that.

I'm really not a morning person & am amazed that people can actually motivate themselves to get up EARLY to work out! Hang in there.

Thanks Moon :)

So, still been eating alright. I had some pizza last night (only 2 slices) but it fit into my daily calories almost so I don't feel too bad about it. I am planning on absolutely making it to the gym tonite. I have got to. I get weighed in tomorrow and I am so scared to see the results:eek: I am praying that I at least just get one pound down...

I will try to remember to post my foods and my workout I did today later on :)

ok lets make a deal... I will workout tonight & you go to the gym....

I need to get my butt in gear again. It slips away so easy!

That sounds so good. Thats a great deal. I wish I would have made it with you because I didn't go.... I am so bad lately, and I don't know where it is coming from. I missed my pt appt. on tues because I thought it was at 9 and it really was at 830. he wasn't mad. I hope he's not mad tomorrow when I weigh in. I haven't been so good lately about the diet or the gym. i am trying but it ain't cuttin it. Tomorrow is Dday and it is when I will probably get back into gear. I should go do a workout tonite when I get off work. I think I need to. Do a core routine and 45 minutes of cardio. I know it probably won't make a huge difference for tomorrow but it might make me feel better about things................

I will post tomorrow what the results are. Hope they aren't too bad. If i'm 240 again (which I know I can't be...) I will cry, lol...

-Sam:)

Hey Sam I really appreciate what you wrote in my diary. I'm sorry you've had a few off days but please don't beat yourself up over it, just get back on track and get the good vibes flowing again. I wanted to say that if nothing else, don't stop posting your food every day. I know it sucks when you aren't proud of some bad food choices but we all do it. It doesn't matter in the long run but I think that my food diary is the most important aspect of this weight loss agenda. Keep on keepin on my friend, you are going to succeed! :hug2:

Good luck today!

Seems the time to be letting everything slip, I'm feeling the same way. I want to lose, I want to be good with eating & working out... yet somewhere along the way that intention doesn't make it into action. argh. I guess the first step is knowing ... now if I can just DO something about it. I was really bad today & had an egg & cheese biscuit for breakfast & nope it was not healthy homemade! oops. So I guess lunch needs to be better.

Hey guys. I would have logged on here yesterday but for some reason my computer at work wouldn't let this site onto my screen... I didn't get weighed in on Thursday like I thought I was going to. My trainer wants to wait until next Tues. so I thought that sounded okay. I did have a session with him on Thursday, and we did my chest routine. It felt good to get that one done.

Here is yesterday's foods

10am 2 scoops Eas protein, 1 cup skim milk, banana

12pm 1/2 sandwich, 1 small bag of chips

330pm Other 1/2 of sandwich, some edamame

630pm 1 cup lf cottage cheese, 1 can pineapple

10pm 1 FF Yogurt, grapes

Thinking this is just under 2000 cals or so. About 130 grams of protein too. Tonite I plan on getting to the gym and doing biceps and triceps and some cardio.

-Sam:)

Hi

Thanks you guys. I filled out the stuff online to have my ipod serviced. We will see how soon that can happen.

Yesterday was really good food wise. Didn't have any candy or junk really.

730am 1 cup Kashi
1 cup skim milk

1030am FF Yogurt

115pm Mcdonalds SW salad with grilled chicken

515pm Protein Shake

915pm 5 oz. baked chicken
2.5 cups steamed broccoli
2tsp parm cheese
1 small can green beans
1.5 tbsp bbq sauce
1/2 cup LF cottage cheese
Crystal light

I had a problem eating at the right times yesterday. I really hate going longer than 3 hours without eating anymore. If I go 4, I usually feel alright but 3 is better for me. If I go longer than 4, I get kind of cranky...

I also hit the gym yesterday. I did legs and cardio. I went right before the 4-6pm rush. This is what my routine looked like yesterday for legs/cardio:

Smith Squat 100lbs 3x20
Straight Leg Deadlift 65lbs 3x20
Leg Extension 75lbs 3x20
Leg Curl 80lbs 3x20
Calf Raises on a stair, 10 stairs, 10 on each stair
Lunges going up and down a ramp 2 sets (up ramp, down ramp= one set)

25-30 minutes on treadmill. Walked some yesterday because my legs were so wobbly from working them out. Typically I run the whole thing.

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by my journal. I have tried to start journals in the past but, they never lasted. I think this one will though. I'm trying to make it to everyone elses too.

-Sam:)

Heya All,

Romeo:confused:

Hey everybody. Sorry I've been MIA for a few days, I've been busy and haven't felt like getting on the computer really. I got weighed in on Tues. 8/21 and measured. The results were very surprising. I thought I'd been so bad the previous weeks that it either was going to be a maintain or a gain... I was actually dreading this weigh in. I got on the scale and to my surprise I was actually down almost 15lbs!!! It was one of the best feelings I have ever had! I lost some inches too. I will have to look at my trainer's book to be exactly sure how many I lost but, I do know I lost a few off my waist. So happy.

I have celebrated a little this week tho. I am getting back on track today, I have got the food, got the food journal and just need to work the plan. I am going to the gym tonite after work. I did kind of hurt my back a little at the the gym the other day though. My trainer was maxing me out on a few exercises and the smith squat killed my back with all the weight he had on it. It's my lower back that hurts. It's not unbearable but it is definitely sore, don't know if that's good or bad. It feels good when I rest it tho.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

-Sam:)

Congrats Sam! 15 lbs is a lot! So proud of you. :)
Sorry about your back. Make sure you don't overwork it tonight. You definitely don't want a back injury. Take care!

Here are yesterday's foods:

745am 1 cup cereal
1 cup skim milk

1030am 1 FF Yogurt

2pm 1 can Vegetarian Chili
1 serve whole wheat crackers
1 oz cheddar cheese

5pm 1 Kashi TLC Granola Bar
some candy (not much though)

730pm 1 cup LF Cottage Cheese
1 can Pineapple drained

1000pm 3 slices turkey
1 slice swiss cheese
2 scoops EAS protein
1.5 cups skim milk
1 banana

So, this day looks about 2000 cals and almost 150 grams protein. I gotta keep these kinda days up. This day food wise was kind of hard. My mind just wants to eat junk!!! Not gonna happen though. I planned out my entire menu for today (Sun.) eating every 3 hours or so. I gotta get back into this.
I will post my menu for today later on. I am also getting almost completely new workouts at the gym. My trainer is integrating more freeweights into my routines. I will post all these workouts when I finally have them all (still maxing me out on a few things, lol)

Have a great day!!!

-Sam:)

You'll see an incredible change in your body with these new workouts. Especially with free weights. And then you'll have to post some pics of the new buff Sam!

I'm with Sunny...I want to see some Sam pics soon! I think you're doing a fabulous job and I just wanted to say congrats and I'm really happy for you!

Hey. I tend to disappear during the middle of the week and then post more on the weekends when I am at work. Guess that's just my style. I made it to the gym Mon.-Thurs. this week. On Monday I did a spin class. It was fun, hard work and I actually held my own. Guess I am in a little bit better shape than I thought I was. The seat hurt my butt so bad though. I had to keep standing up and "climbing"... good workout though.

I have my official new workout from my trainer. He did my core routine with me on Tuesday and by the end of it I called him a "sick nazi bastard" which he smiled at, lol. It made my back and abs sore for 2 days straight. With all that soreness I hope it's doing something.

Food I need to focus on a little more. I have been eating and not tracking for a few days now. Shame on me, I know. I am going to try to be really good with food and making it to the gym throughout the whole month of Sept, and see if I can do it. It's my goal. By the next time I weigh in I want to see 205lbs or less!!!!!

Stuck at work today, and won't be making it to the gym (I don't get off till 10pm and then back in again at 7am, kinda sucks). I will be on here updating and checking in on some journals. :)

-Sam

My gosh, your workouts sounds harsh, I'm sure they are working your body BIG TIME!! Way to go on staying with the gym and trainer and getting it done!!! The food, well you can work on that later! You've always done pretty well on the food in the past, so I'm sure mentally your not letting yourself go over calories or at least not by much. Have yourself a great weekend, and keep on spinning!! Your right those seats kill the butt and bad!!! Later Gator!
Kim

Does you butt ever get used to the seats on the bikes in spin classes? Maybe it's just because I haven't ridden a bike in awhile. I told my friend next time I'm bringing my old banana seat:D

The workouts are getting more tough. That is for sure. I'm a little nervous but, like with any new workout that I have had in the past I do what I can and make it my goal to get myself up to what my trainer wants me to be able to do.

Next week I will be hitting the gym pretty hard. I have 3 sessions in a row with my trainer (tues, weds, thurs). I am thinking of doing chest/tris on tues, legs on weds, and bis/back on thursday. That way I will be able to have done all my new routines with my trainer at least once.

-Sam

Sounds like a good plan, Sam. Spin class, eh? I don't think I could handle a spin class... my ass would DIE! I'm with you on bringing your banana seat. lol I miss those things!
