Rox has lost 62 pounds....so far!

I feel like I should have done what you did when I was cheated, instead I sulked in misery and lost my job as well as myself. I needed to see your post and now I feel more inspired than ever to get my life back. Thank you!

Oh my...it is just the worst thing, isn't it? Please don't beat yourself up about the past. Your reaction was completely normal.

I'm very, very glad if my story can help you feel inspired in even a small way.

Hi Rox,

I am fairly new to this forum and have read your diary from start to finish. You are an amazing woman. Not only do you look fantastic but you have such a positive attitude as well. No wonder you are such an inspiration to so many of us! You have gone through a lot. You should be so proud of yourself!

Thanks so much! I have to say that managing my weight and health have given me a big reason to hang on to my self-esteem.
It really has become a cycle where taking care of myself makes me feel good about myself and feeling good about myself makes me willing to spend the time and effort to be good to my body...if that makes sense?

I really do hope that my story, as bad as it is, might really help and inspire people who feel like things might be hopeless for them. You just might be capable of far more than you think, is my message to them!

Thanks again, Cowboy48, and I hope the site gives you the support and inspiration you need to get to your health/fitness/weight goals. i'll see you around the forum!

Holy shit! You did a good job. The picture where you are wearing all black... so beautiful. All your work paid off as you look very healthy and attractive.

You look as fit as a fitness model.

Congrats.

Incredible...

If you had to say one thing about someone on weight loss, and getting to their goal weight, what would you say?

Thanks SO much, tman111 ! I adore compliments- ..especially from very cute, hot young men!

Wow!! Thanks for the very kind words!!!

As for my advice? I'll have to think on that a bit.
But right now, I have to go make dinner. Veggie stir fry!

I'm sure you will be getting plenty of attention from hot young men from now on. I plan on using you as motivation for my mother. I've been able to help my brother go from 317 to 292 recently, but have not had any luck motivating my mom to make significant progress. She's 50 years old, 190 lbs. I need to show her that she can still look sexy!

I hope your first prediction holds true!

And good for you, helping your brother get started getting fit!

As for your mom- I do really hope you can get her to make a change for the better.
Sharon Stone is 51. Michelle Pfeiffer and Christie Brinkley are in their 50's , too. Age is no excuse anymore for giving up.
And tell your mom that it's completely worth the effort! Knowing that you look good can give you such confidence and energy. (plus buying clothes in size 6 is postively euphoria-inducing!)

LOL I've been gone for just over a week and look what I've missed!!!!!!!
I'm sure that HB didn't mean to hurt you but I would have been just as upset as you. Oh well who needs HB when you now have HN!!!!! Great to see you having fun inspite of the horrible year that you had last year.
Your husband sounds as though he really isn't worth bothering with anymore so you have quite a hard time ahead of you because of your children. You are a strong lady and I'm sure will be able to handle it all in the best possible way for you all. xx

Thanks, Val. This has indeed been quite a week.
HN is quite a treat...evener hotter than HB. So, that's nice.

As for my husband...at least I can say that I really tried. I gave it six full months and he just couldn't manage to man up and be a decent human being.

Right now, I'm really mostly worried about my kids and about money.
I feel strong, though- both physically and mentally...so I'm sure you're right. I'll manage this all somehow.

hott hott hott!!!

If your husband wasn't kicking himself before (which he probably was) he definitely is now! Way to go! What an amazing and inspiring transformation:hurray:

Thanks for the nice comments! I can hardly believe that I've lost 79lbs so far...and that I'm still going strong.

I'm thinking of posting more photos now that I'm down to my goal weight. I'm hunting around for more "befores". They're hard to find, as I hated having my photo taken. that's so common, isn't it? When you feel that you look bad, you flee any cameras at family gatherings, etc. It's so sad...
I'm not camera-shy any more, though! lol!

So glad someone sent me here to see your photos. I think it was Tigpuppy. A beautiful transformation you made and your dedication to stick with your program long enough for such a dramatic improvement is wonderful to see. I hope I can duplicate your results. Thanks for sharing your photos.

Thanks so much!
I see that you started at the same weight as I did, almost exactly. I was one pound heavier!

I really do think that you can make it to your goal. You've already made good progress! All it takes is an unwillingness to quit. I've read it on this site many times, but it is SO true that it bears repeating:
You can't fail if you NEVER give up!!

Updated- photos at 82 lbs lost. (underwear alert!)

Today I weighed in at 139.9 lbs! I'm finally under 140 and very nearly at my final goal now!
I just found an old picture of me from 2008 and it inspired me to post a couple more before and after comparisons. The sexy lingerie photo was taken by my boyfriend and I thought it made a good contrast. lol!
In the first one, I'm at 212- I'd already lost a tiny bit of weight. In the second, I was at 141. In the third...probably about 220. And in the last one, 141.
