Rocket Surgery 4 Dummies-Griff's Musings

Hey thanx for the rep - your msg is short and simple but straight to the point - thank you...Ive given out too much rep appearantly adn cant return it - ha ha ha...I hope you slept well last night and all goes well today with the girls and everything at least I guess you ahve some me time regardless of the cirumstances...

My x is gonna be pissed b/c Im canceling the visitation agian for the second week in a row...ieieieie
 
Happy Saturday Everyone!

I had a great workout this morning while the girls were visiting their momma.

6 miles on the bike (15 minute warm-up)

leg press 3x12
leg curls 3x12
leg extension 4x12
calf raises 3x12

3 miles on the bike (10 minute cool down)

I increased my weight again on all of my lifts. That's why I ended up with 4 sets on the leg extensions, I did another set with increased weight to see if I could do it. I'll probably pay for that tomorrow. I have increased my weights by a total of 235 pounds spread out over 8 different lifts. That is in 3 weeks.

After the workout, I picked the girls up and we had a quick lunch. Then we went to see UnderDog, that's a funny movie. Then we did a little shopping at the sporting goods store. I am looking for a good exercise bike for the apartment. I ended up buying them a new soccer ball, I'm not sure what is wrong with their old one but oh well. On the way home we swung by McDonalds for some ice cream. Now we're just chillin'. We'll be headed to the pool in a bit, it's so freaking hot again today.

Hey Amber - We are about to go back to the pool now. I've still got some work to do on my tan anyway. My oldest is already back in school and my youngest starts next week. Summers just keep getting shorter. Hope you are having a great Saturday.

They must be on a non-traditional schedule to be in school so early.

Hey Griff,

Your workouts are soo amazing! The way your going you're going to be in onederland in no time. Its great you spend so much time in the pool with the girls!

Is it non-traditional... I know in florida they start school about Mid-August... I think its different in different places:)
 
They are starting them earlier but they get a fall break and a spring break off. Plus they figure in some snow days too. It is earlier than some of the surrounding counties but they start next week I think.

Snow days in Knoxville?? Lmbo. I'll bet all it takes is an inch or two of snow and the city shuts down.:rotflmao:

LOL! We have to get at least 4-6inches of snow before they even start thinking about closing schools up here. Ice is a bit different. Hard to imagine snow or ice when it's so damn hot out there!

In response to your rep message to me, Griff, no problem! I enjoy supporting you! Plus, you are gonna need all the support you can get once those little darlings of yours become teenagers! My grandpa literally had three nightmares about my teenage years just before I turned 13. I still tease him about that.

Naturally, angel that I am, none of his nightmares were proven true.

I don't even want to think about when they will be teenagers! I've already told them they can't date until they are 25.

Today was my rest day, and it was a good one. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

You should hope they are like I was as a teen. I didn't drink, smoke or have sex (even though I could have done all 3). I got good grades and hardly ever got in trouble. I was absolutely miserable...:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I was miserable too.. and I drank, smoke, and used some other recreational substances:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I think we're going to give Griff nightmares before he gets anywhere near those years with his girls!
