RJ's Diary

You are just doing amazing!

It's true, I need to work on my will power. It's kind of working now, lol. I used to eat snacks from the snack cupboard at work everyday (cookies and crackers) and I haven't touched it for a week and a half and I plan on not ever touching it. Maybe a treat once in a while if anything. When I look at that cupboard I think to myself, is it worth it? The answer always ends up being no, and I don't go into it :D

I just need to stick to regular exercise. Now that I have a goal (which I stated in my diary) I think I can stick to it.

Anyways, I have to get going for work, thanks for the support! Keep up the awesome work yourself!

The biggest concept I've adopted is "Food is Fuel" its nothing more... its not a drug, a hobby, something to pass time. Simply fuel.

Survived christmas... only gained 2 pounds :) i think that was a rather successful test at my new frame of mind... i didnt justify over indulgence... kept to my training... didnt use it as an excuse to "take a break" and start over new years or other blah blah that ruins it.

thats great....i did the samething...didnt wait, cause if you wait then you will get back on track!! glad to see that your doing good!!!

The Year in review... I've done an amazing job maintaining motivation, will power, and sticking to the progress. My determination is one that not many in my circle share... so a lot o social modifications were made. Many sacrifices, and changes to what i do for fun, and with idle time were made into new habits.

I officially began trakcing my progress on March 5th 2007 at 305lbs

Since then I have continued a steady downward progress of 2.19lbs per week for a total of 94.2 lbs lost.

Theres been little breaks and mishaps, but never a complete derailing, if i slip i must get up right away and continue on my path

There is no oh well i screwed up and have a dough nut I'll start again tomorrow, or worse... I'll start again Monday. I've seen many fall to this way of thinking.

There are no shortcuts.
There is no easy way
Everything must be as clost to precise as possible
Every Workout must be focused
You must set goals
You must monitor your progress
Weight is just a number
The number will always change
gauge how you feel

08 is going to be even better.

RJ wow I'm back and I see your new avatar. Amazing loss shows in your face and you are looking very very good. Congratulations on all your success last year. I remember when you started. You have lost a very significant amount of weight. I like your tip about seeing food as fuel. I heard that from Steve as well.

Thanks for looking out for me. I think you asked where I was? I was away. Well my sons switched computers on me and I had some technical glitches. I reached my goal of losing twenty pounds and kind of sat on my laurels once I got there and the weight creeped up. Failed to maintain the loss.

I'm up ten pounds from my lowest weight (180) but am back at it.

Happy New year to you. Kelly

posted some pics in the before and during section... what a trip how much ive changed... and yet... i still have soooo far to go.

I'm not satisfied yet...

But im not discouraged...

The fire still burns and i will continue on this journey

There are no shortcuts, there is no easy way... I dont only work out for only an hour a day because of fear of "over doing it" I push myself hard everyday to my limits... i eat right, sleep good, and take rest days as needed.

lol...you got that right!! no shortcuts, you have to work hard and dont give up!! Well it seems that your staying on track!! :hurray: just wanted to stop by and say HOLA!

Soem random dude came up to me at the gym the other day... confirmed that I had been going there for a while, and that i have lost over 100 pounds.. i told him yep, he shook my hand and told me to keep up the good work.

The squats weren't so heavy after that..

The mind has soo much power... its a trip
