Hi. Just reading thru your diary. Bikram yoga is something I've always wanted to try but I just haven't. They have two yoga studios in my city that teach it for the pricing I have heard of. They charge $20 for a two week span, and you can come as much as you want in that two weeks, and after that is up I don't know what it costs... Glad you seem to like it.

Great job on the cardio. I need to be getting that much in too, lol.

Hey Sammy, thanks for stopping by. The deal you have going on there is so much better than mine! What they had here is a $20 2-class intro thing. So basically you get 2 classes for $20 to try it out to see if you like it, then if you bought a membership on your 2nd intro class they took $50 off, so you save $30 overall. The membership here is a 20 class package for $299.99 or you can do 3 months unlimited for $349.99. If you want to do just a drop in it's $20 PER class. So it's VERY exerpensive. So if they have $20 for 2 weeks there, I'd say go for it!

I got the unlimited membership because I plan on going often so it'll be better than doing the drop in or the 20 class thing. I do really like it though, it makes you feel really good after doing it :)

Update on my weight: 2 weeks ago I was 156.8, last week I went up to 160 and now this week I went down to 157.6. So I'm down from last week but up from 2 weeks ago.

My problem is my food and I know it. I do good half the week and then the other half I blow it :p So I'm really going to have to get on track with my food.

My exercise is doing pretty good. I go on on my 40 min lunchtime brisk walks every weekday, plus I go on the treadmill for another 20-40 mins depending either at a brisk walk or my 1 min walk/1 min run intervals for 20 mins. Plus now I have my yoga that I will go to minimum of 3x per week. I plan on going around 4-5 though.

Today was the first day I did the walk/run thing for 30 mins :D WOO! I could have kept going and did 40 mins like that but I ran out of time (needed to shower, get ready for work, make breakfast and lunch).

I find that I like doing it in the morning better and getting it overwith. Otherwise I worry about it all day (cause I hate running, lol). Plus last night my sis and her hubby came and started talking to us JUST as I was about to do my run thing, and so it totally threw me off and I ended up not doing it at all. So if I do it in the mornings, no distractions, no excuses and it's done!

Well, gotta get to work now, I'll catch up with everyone later on!

I still read your journal, I am just busy these days.

YOGA is very expensive. I want to try Bikram yoga soo bad!

I am taking a 90 min regular yoga class at school. It messed me up the first two weeks, but I am getting better.

Congrats on doing well!
 
Hey Girl - good for you on the exercise - I need to start using my treadmill agian - I hate htat beast but need to start using it *grumble* Im glad to see you posted again and to see that exercise and yoga - yaaa!!! I love Yoga:)
 
I'm glad you found exercise that works for you. I don't think I"d be able to do that yoga. I HATE heat. HATE HATE HATE it. I'd rather work on icicles.
 
You know, it's kinda funny... I HATE heat too! I really really really hate it. In the summer I never go outside cause it's too hot. And when I was living in my parent's house I would stay in the basement where it was cool. Literally I NEVER went outside.

But the yoga... it's different. You concentrate so much on... everything like your breathing, yourself, the movements your doing and how to do them; making sure you're doing all the different parts to the movement correctly... I mean with all that going on, the heat is the last thing on my mind, lol. I really thought I would hate it, I really did. I tried it because I knew it would be exercise I would keep going to (cause my sister goes and my mom drives right by my house so she just picks me up). So I figured if someone were to pick me up I would HAVE to go. SO... that's why I decided I'd give it a shot, and I'm glad I did, I really like it. You feel so good after.

Anyways, I don't wanna be late for work so I have to get going, but I'll post more later and catch up with everyone.
 
Well, I'm back yet again! I always start and stop and it's stupid :p But now it just must be done. I'm getting married in Sept of '09 which is less than a year away and I must look awesome! I don't want to regret my pictures! My sis's wedding was 2 years ago and I can't stand how I look in her pictures! So I definately don't want that for mine.

My problem is definately that I'm just so tired. I work mon-fri and have school in the evening on tues and thurs and school all day sat. So..... I'm tired :p But it must be done! I just don't know how to get outta bed in the morning or go after work on the days I have school.

I know what I want and I want it bad, I'm just having the hardest time doing it.
 
:)Im so happy to see you around.WHOA your busy and ya it is hard when so busy and tire but the exercise will give you energy and it will help...

Im the same stop and start and have a hard time with how busy I am, it goes in flurries of how badly i want it at the time:)

Hi Risty I saw you over in Cerella's diary and decided that if you were an old friend of hers you'll have to become a new friend of mine!

Being that busy sucks... boy can I relate! I work nights at my main job Monday -Friday, Saturdays I dive a taxi as a second job for 10-12 hours and go to school 2 days a week during the day. Yeah I feel you!

Anyway, glad you're coming back here! Looking forward to future conversations
 
Thanks both of you. I know I'm not the only busy one and it sounds like you're even more busy than I am! That's just crazy!

With all that I have going on plus planning a wedding it is nuts, but I just have to do it. I mean I'm stressing about it instead of just going to the gym and not ya know? What's getting up an hour and a half earlier or so, or going after work no matter how tired I am and releaving me of the stress of the whole thing.

All I know is that I don't like how I look in a dress and I don't want to look like that in Sept. Arms are flabby and not at all tones, have the whole back ass thing going on in a dress and then spillage on the sides by the shoulder blades! Of course the dresses you try on at the stores are too small, but I don't want to go bigger, cause my waist gets sucked in decently in those! But it's not only that, I have the honeymoon after at an all inclusive and that means hot weather which = pools, beaches and wearing things like.... skirts and short and swimming suits! AH! So I definately need to work on everything for Sept.

Im so happy for you guys, your finally gonna gaet married, yah!

Im not sure if you know, cuz it has been so long since we talked, but I am now working nights.I work nights in a Group home for developementally disabled adults.So that adds to my craziness, I work nights, 4 nights a week and then I have to try to sleep during the day which isnt very succesful, I got to boot camp 4 nights a week and Im starting the sun run clinic on Sundays adn then I have the kids and etc...LOL

Im so glad your back and hopefully soon we can catch eachother on msn.Since the nights and stuff, i dont really sit on the comp much during the day or on my days off.Im usually to tired to deal with the technology.

Was Santa good to you ?
 
Wow, yeah you were always really busy and that hasn't stopped I can see!

Yeah we're finally getting married! Been together 4 years in January. But hey, it's better not to rush right :p lol.
 
So I think I need to make a plan! A plan on when I'm going to go to the gym and/or workout at home. I need some structure otherwise I'll just keep pushing it down the road.

I think I should start tomorrow and go to the gym after work because I start early and therefore can get to the gym after work at a decent hour. I'm going to do cardio and weights. My cardio will be the elliptical and/or running on the treadmill depending on what's available and will be at least 30 mins.

The food plan will need to come maybe next week. We have so many leftovers and I don't want to waste them.

Well, that's it for tonight, and tomorrow I better be back on here writing that I went to the gym :p

Ive been taking exercise out this week, well traditional exercise.I have been using the stepper at work and after work been going for a walk through the park, but with this snow im afraid of getting stuck in the parking lot.I think maybe next week will be ok.

Im also excited cuz i just bought a yoga ds game thingy for 7 bucks:)...So I can take my daughters ds to work with me and do ypga also if I wanna watch the tube to ya know, lol...Ive gotten so use to me tv at night...

You can do this you are very motivated you have so kicked ass in the past, im glad you are back sweety:)!

Getting married??? Congratulations!!! I'm sure that will be a great motivator for you!! I have never thought it was fair that on a wedding day woman have to wear a dress that shows any untoned body part you have... and guys get to wear a suit that covers everything! Guys always look great in suits... but girls have to go find the perfect dress that compliments them just right! lol.

I hope the gym day went well! Congratulations!

And yes I did work out yesterday! lol. My sister's husband was on my computer last night until late and then he turned it off right away and I didn't want to turn it back on. So here I am before work!

I went on the elliptical for 30 mins and then did 20 mins of things like crunches, supermans, squats, bicep curls and should raise thingies, then a tricep exercise and girlie pushups! lol

The only bad thing is my eating and I can't wait until all the leftovers are gone ><. I should really just throw it out but I can't convince myself to waste food, lol.
