I have the same exact problem! I freakin hate to throw away food. Unless it has spoiled (in which case eating it would make me sick).... I just have to have SOMEONE eat it so it doesn't go to waste. Great job sticking to your goal and going to the gym!
 
Awesome:DIm glad tyo hear you worked out.I miss my elliptical, I think i might have to join a gym just so I can use one. LOL
 
Well, I exercised monday, nothing tues and weds but on thurs (yesterday) I tried my DVD my mom gave me (30 day shred with jillian) and I am sore! It was harder than I thought. I'm definately doing it again today.

On a side note, I just looked back on page 5 and saw my old before and after pics, I want that again. I've gained some weight back since then and seeing myself with a flatter stomach has just motivated me like you wouldn't believe. I want that again and more!

Hey everyone, thanks for the posts by the way.

So today I did do my exercising. Did 30 mins on the elliptical on hills level 6 and then I did the 30 day shred (which is 20 mins) and I am sore. So far this week I worked out on Mon, Thurs and Fri. I feel bad for skipping Tues and Weds but I am just restarting, so that's ok. Next week I'll be more vigilent. I'm just proud that I have been exercising period! lol

Oh and it was great chatting with everyone today: Karl, Brandy and Shandy! Hope to see you guys in there again.
 
Today I did the 30 day shred. I didn't do any additional cardio however I was shopping at the mall all day with my sis and let me tell you, we went back and forth through the mall going to tons of stores at a good pace and with my level of soreness it was hard to keep up! So no it's not as good as going on the elliptical or running or anything, but I wasn't sitting on my butt watching tv either ;)

Oh and my food was good today as well, YAY! We actually went grocery shopping as well so the week should be good too.
 
Good job on the DVD, I know that it can be quite an ass-kicker! lol. And I know that mall shopping can be done at quite a good pace! lol. Good Job.
 
So, between you and Brandy, I've decided to go ahead and get the 30 day shred that ya'll are constantly talking about. I'm hoping it'll help get rid of the last little bit of weight I just can't seem to lose.:willy_nilly:
and walking the mall for that long definately counts as a workout. anyone that says otherwise obviously has never shopped like that. :D so I still say, great job!!!
 
Hey, so today all I did was the 30 day shred and cleaning for hours! I took down all my christmas stuff and had to empty out my stupid storage space to put it back in and then move everything back in, plus reorganize it. Let me tell you after that and vaccuuming forever, I was sweaty all over again! I cleaned all darn morning! So that definitely burns some cals.

My eating was good today too, so yay! I have tomorrow all planned too. Made my smoothie tonight for tomorrow morning and then I have lunch which is left over dinner and then for dinner I have a bunch of options that's good.

Oh and I think I will make my weigh in days on Sunday. I've lost 3 pounds so far! (I had my ticker at 175 cause I was guessing at my weight, but I was really 176 but I didn't bother changing it).

:hurray: congrats on your weight loss so far! I am planning to get that 30 day shred, have not been able to find it here, so will probably have to order it of the net. I did watch a little of it on youtube and tried a similar workout today...boy oh boy those jumping jacks killed me!
 
Hey Lovelylily, I got it for a christmas present, but I know I saw it at HMV here (if you don't have an HMV it's just a store that sells lots of dvd's and cd's. You should have a store like that there and maybe if they don't have it, it might just not be in stock so they may be able to order it.) Another option is Amazon.com (or .ca) I always buy DVD's on there and it's great, you'd definintely be able to get it there along with any of the biggest loser ones as well. I definitely want to get the biggest loser power sculpt.

So last night I couldn't sleep. I looked at the clock every hour. I just felt nervous. Nervous about 2 exams next week I haven't studied for, nervous about fitting in my exercise and realizing that the best time would to go in the morning at 5:30 am ><, nervous that I wouldn't plan my eating properly, nervous about the challenge and trying to keep track of everything. So last night I was thinking of how to set up tables and what layouts for food and exercise that would make it the easiest so that it would take up little time and then I was thinking about when I was going to plan my food for next week, esp with exams coming and I figured the best would be on my breaks at work... lol.

So yeah I didn't sleep much and was completely awake from 3:30 on. So I got up at 5 am to get to the gym for 5:30, I did a half hour run (well to others it may be a jog, lol) at 4.5 on the treadmill but I didn't have to stop once. However, it was a complete mental game with myself to make me keep going the full 30 mins without 1 min walk breaks. I would tell myself ok I've done 10 mins, at 15 mins maybe I'll take a walk break. Then 15 mins would come and I'd say to myself ok I can make it to 20 before I take a walk break. Then I'd get to 20 and think ok, it's just 10 more mins, I can do 10 more mins without a break. So then the last 10 mins I'm counting down by every minute, lol. But hey, I totally did it and I haven't ran in probably a month and a half at least. So I'm proud of myself.

I have to drive my sis to work today so I'm fitting in my 30 day shred after work.

My food for today is:

Breakfast: Smoothie made with mixed berried and 1 c nonfat soy milk. Also, a piece whole grain bread.
Snack: Mandarin and half a red pepper.
Lunch: 1.5 c miso soup with 1 tbsp tofu and dash of green onions. Plus 4 oz of steamed salmon. Plus 3 pieces of light rye WASA cripsbread.
Snack: Mandarin and half a red pepper.
Supper: Pita with a curried chicken salad and veggies (made with low fat mayo).
Dessert: Normally I wouldn't have dessert but because I had some calories to spare, I ate the chocolate tree my grandma gave me for christmas (160 cals) OUCH! At least it wasn't over my calories though, so I thought what better time ;)

Calories for the day 1400.

Thanks Cerella. I'm motivated beyond belief! I hope I feel that way getting up at 5 am tomorrow morning to get to the gym by 5:30 :ack2: Hehe, but on tues and thurs I have no choice with work and school. I'd get home after 9 pm and then it's just too late.

On an update for today and recapping slightly... I went to the gym this morning and ran for 30 mins. When I got home from work I did my 30 day shred.

I've planned my calories for tomorrow. I just need to make my smoothie for my breakfast and my lunch for tomorrow, so I'm all prepared and won't be worried about it while I'm at the gym.

Hey Karl, I have day one down! WOO! Well, as long as my eating stays right on track, (which it will ;) ) I'm good to go!

I went to the gym at 5:30 this morning and did 30 mins on the elliptical (hills level 6) and let me tell you it was one of those days where you do 5 mins and you think, oh crap, I'm not gonna make it. But I just took it 5 mins at a time and I completed it. Plus, I walk to the gym and back so that's a total of 10 mins.

When I got home I then did my 30 day shred (which is 20 mins).

So when I do this routine I get a total of an hour exercise for the day.

I will try to post my food at some point but I have school today so I may not be able to make it back on and probably won't be able to post in anyone's diary, but I will do that for sure tomorrow!
 
Hey Christina, Im so happy and glad to see you so motivated, you are always pretty great in that department:)!

I hear ya about 5am...I usually do my exercise at work at btween 230 am and 4 and ya it is hard to make myself do it as my body is in shut down mofde and typically i have had maybe 3 hrs of sleep and if it is on a Monday Ive been up all day si9nce like 8am...LOL *UGH*

Given a choice id prefer to go to bed early and get up at 5am to go to the gym...

Im happy for you and glad to see you so excited and so focused!
 
Cerella, holy crap... exercising at 2 am!! That's nuts! And dedicated at the same time! I applaud ya for that. Why so late though? Is it cause of work?

I'm exhausted today. I wanted to get up at 5 and hit the gym but I literally could not get myself out of bed. Normally when Johnny's alarm goes of at 4:30 and then the snooze goes off every 10 mins until 5 I can't fall back asleep. Today though, as soon as he turned it off I was out. That's never happened and it's been a year he's been doing that, lol. I was so drained, and my throat feels odd so I think I may be getting sick.

I'm pretty worried about my exams next week so that stress doesn't help either. I feel pretty screwed at the moment. I need to study like crazy this weekend. My plan was to study tonight, yeah .... I'm on here instead :p Well I cuddled with Johnny for an hour and a half instead of studying as well. *sigh* I'm gonna have to do it though.

My eating was good today, 1499 cals. Ate nothing bad. All whole grains, fruits, veggies, lean proteins. Well I guess the condiments are bad but whatever, it's within my cals :p

My exercise was lacking. Only did 30 mins which is my 30 day shred and some extra strength stuff. Hopefully tomorrow morning is more successful. it has to be cause I have school tomorrow and will have no time after.
