Risty's Diary (Christina)

Hey you - Im so glad to finally hear from you and to know all is ok - awesome on the house!!! We all need a break from time to time girl - do what you gotta do to recharge your batteries and we will all be waiting with open arms when you are back in full force - you are missed ya know...Im trying to learn to run on my treadmill as well - however lately I havent had the time to use it...Elliptical , elliptical, elliptical...anyway looking forward to hearing more from you soon !!!

Hey everyone,

Thanks for all the support, I really need it, lol.

I have gained a couple pounds but I've been maintaining since then. My eating is ok, the only bad part is supper because my bf and I are getting back into the whole eating out often and it's not good for the bank or my butt! lol... well it's not good for me as a whole, lol. So once we're all moved and settled I'm gonna plan out my suppers again and really get back on track with that and exercise.

I went looking at treadmills today and there's one on sale for cheap but it's not as nice as this expensive one I want. I'm torn between saving money ... or nicer treadmill. I think in the long run a nicer one is better. Also, if you're more proud of something the more likely you'll use it... I keep telling myself that ;) lol

Hey Risty, it's ok, you've been maintaining when it could have been very easy to gain. As far as the treadmills, I have a super cheap one, and I can tell it's cheap. It worked for my purposes at first, since I could only walk when first starting out, so I don't know what to suggest. I'm curious to see what you end up buying. Have a nice day!

AHHH Risty, I've MISSED YA!! Good to see you on again! And I would say go for the good treadmill your likely to use it more if your liking the product. :) Maybe you could do a little something extra on the side like babysit for a friend or help out in house keeping just for a few months to make up some extra money, if things are tight. Wish I could help on that!! It's really good to see you have been able to maintain, EXCELLENT job my friend. Well, have a wonderful day today and are you still riding your bike??

Hey Christina!!!

Welcome back! It's great to know the house thing's going smoothly.

Don't be upset that things have gone according to plan - I wouldn't say you're failing at all! You're still on track so don't fret at all. Remember all the work you've done so far to get to where you are - if you could do all that, then you'll do the rest.

I hope you've had a lovely weekend. Hope to catch up with your exploits soon enough :)

Well I definitely know what you mean about the eating out thing. And I say save a bit of money and get the nicer treadmill.

Howdy,Risty
Glad your back and doing great!! Maintaining is very hard
to do.I am going to struggle with that I know it.
Have a nice day Tammy

I agree with you on the quality thing for the treadmill. When I think how much I pound stride after stride on a treadmill, I know if I was buying one, I'd want a good quality one, even if it means spending a bit more.

I hear ya on the eating out thing ... it's a killer. It's sooooo much fun though. Maybe you guys can start small and work your way to no eating out. For now, cut back one time per week.

Hey Risty,

I'd say you're right on the nicer treadmill. Don't settle. Go with the one you really like and you'll be happier with your purchase. I know I would be.

I've been wanting a treadmill too, but I have no space in this house for one.. Oh well.

-Sunny

Hey everyone, I'm glad you guys are thinking along the same lines as I am. I will buy the nicer one. I do have some money saved up (supposed to be a savings for way down in the future for a house or for more recently to help pay off my student loan faster) so I can technically afford it, I'll just have to make sure to put that money back bit by bit.

Miss LadyBug - Hey I missed ya too! Man, babysitting, haven't done that in soooo long, hehe.

2Skinny - I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it hard with eating out! I know I should cut it back, and we did for a while, but then we got back to being lazy and not planning ahead. So once we're all settled, I'll plan ahead to ensure I know what to make for supper and the groceries for it.

Wishes - I know eating out doesn't have to be so bad with the right choices, my problem is I want to eat all the yummy stuff that I can't make myself and it happens to be all the bad stuff! lol I just get so tempted by the tasty unhealthy things, I think I'm going out, might as well spend money on something I REALLY want... I know... bad way to think.. lol.

Tammy - I've never really had a problem maintaining (minus my initial slowly increasing weight after high school and for a few years). However high school I was fine and since I started losing the weight iand eating better t's easy for me to not gain (even with my cheating, but even with cheating it's so much better than how I ate during my weight gain period)....but what I'm doing won't help me lose, so I need to step it up! I'm sure once you'll get the hang of what you need to do to maintain when the time comes, you'll be fine!

Bmo - We should come up with menu plans ahead of time together, that way we each won't have to think of so much ... lol.

Lukewarm - Yeah I know, even though I haven't lost I should still be proud that over the couple months of not doing anything my weight has basically stayed the same. I'm gonna get the better one just because I know I'll be happier, lol.

Cerella - I'm happy to see you here too! lol... thanks for sticking by me :D

Healthyhabit - Yeah, I really do agree, I want something I'll be proud to use. I don't buy that much so when I do want something, I want something nice! I like your name, I should live by that more often... lol.

Rho - It's good to hear from you again! Thanks for your support, I'm glad you don't think of me as a failure. It's hard not to feel like I am sometimes though! But I am hoping to be back on track once I'm all moved and everything. We'll see how it goes!

Hey Christina,

It's great to see you more upbeat :) and looking ahead. I used to have a stepping machine at home (this was years ago), but I never managed to use it more than 4 or 5 times, and I ended up giving it away.. I guess I was really lazy. You're so much better at things like that, so this should herald the start of another phase in your life..

I think most of us have that problem with eating out, especially when the meal is being paid for by a third party. The devil in me just keeps whispering "Do it. Do it!!!!" and it's such a struggle at times. As you said, once you've settled in and you're back to carefully planning your meals and everything, it'll all fall into place and you can carry on with your goals.

In the meantime, just enjoy the whole process of change, and be proud of yourself that you haven't slipped. :)

Hey Risty, glad to see you around again :). I agree that the better quality treadmill is the way to go. Well worth the money considering its for your health and well being. Have you ever tried an elliptical? I find it so much easier yet your heart rate really gets up as if you're running (but it doesn't feel so hard).

I'm also happy you're getting the more expensive one, it's the best idea. Also having the menu plan is great...but it's such a hassle to actually plan one out. I'm in the process of doing just that as well. Hope you're having a nice week Risty

Cerella - I'm happy to see you here too! lol... thanks for sticking by me :D

Well of course you are easy to stick by - Im looking gforward to when you are posting more regularly till then I enjoy seeing your face randomly pop up in my diary with your excitement and positivity!!!

Hey everyone! So I'll be starting to my my stuff next week and be officially in by the 1st! So soon!

Rho - I can be really lazy too, but for me it's easier to use the treadmill while watching one of my many fave tv shows! So my thinking is that if I'm gonna have the luxury of watching a lot of tv shows (mon-weds is the worst cause there's so many good shows) then during one of them (an hour) I HAVE to be on the treadmill. That way I'm exercising while enjoying my show and I won't feel bad about watching tv!

Blancita - I have tried an elliptical and they suck! I mean I agree with them getting your heart rate up and being like your almost running but it just feels like so much torture to me. Plus, I want to learn to actually run and there's no better way to learn to run then by actually running! The elliptical won't do that for me. But one day I might get one (if I have room and money) so that I can have another form or cardio and I know that's a good one for burning cals :)

Sara - Hey that's kewl you're gonna get one too! Good luck in choosing one. When do you think you'll be getting yours?

Cerella - I try to come on as much as I can and I'll continue to do so. So keep enjoying! LOL j/k

Just think, after this 2 month re-feed, your metabolism will be pumped and as soon as you cut those calories and start exercising, the calories should start dropping like crazy ;)

Howdy Girl,Looks like you know what you want and your doing it!
