Rewind - lost 180lb, regained 55 over time, heading back!

oh dear! the weight loss that stagnated for a week suddenly disappeared, my period that never arrived at xmas suddenly arrived, i slept a good 8-9 hours last night!
the funny thing is, i put the burning thighs pain down to my bad knees just radiating through my leg for the first week or so lol.
Last night i went out and bought a bunch of seeds/nuts/dark green veges so i can get more natural magnesium into me rather than pills. Had mega salad with dinner and a good night.
Heading out to mountain bike with the kids today (providing i can get the bike up and running) then on holiday romorrow!

Sorry for lack of posting, i just never had time! i ended up not having time to catch up with few people, because i was either sleeping, eating or playing in christchurch.
Because we had no facilities to cook in our unit every meal was take away. We went with friends recommendations for a lot of things (twitter eatery!) and most was great. I did struggle trying to find meals that were not wrapped in bread, or deep fried. I ended up eating low fat yoghurt more than once, in fact one day thats all i ate for most of the day! If shops were closed when i was hungry it was tough luck!

Luckily there was a great breakfast place that did bacon and eggs which was on my diet, also a few good steak houses which allowed me to take home leftovers for other meals. We found a supermarket and had salad makings with chunks of cheese, ham, etc we kept in the mini fridge in our room which also helped. Over all I got back and had lost almost 2kg (4lb).

Spent most of the first day walking around looking at things, and catching up on sleeping.
2nd day we hired bikes and biked about 20km around outter town, also headed up Gondolas with the bikes and came back down the track on a mountain bike.
3rd day we to a data center which involved a lot more walking again, but this time i had blisters so we did bus part of it.
4th day we hit the antartic center which again involved a ton of walking. I met a penguin on a back stage pass, got several rides on a really nasty but awesome course on a hagglund.

Got home dead tired from not sleeping the night before and just slept 10 hours solid. About to have breakfast now!

Caught up on sleep. Got kids school stuff organized, paid bills, pretty much got everything needed doing done before i go back to work tomorrow.
I did want to get a bike ride in yesterday but ended up not having time and it was WAY too hot! Going to try to get some cycling done today instead if i can.
 
Nothing much happening here, busy as busy since im back to work. Diet going well, i have even been cycling again , and within reason the knees are handling it fine!
Been practicing the Uke, and the kids think its a great idea to start a family band so we have them playing ukuleles and guitars also (with a drum kit on the way!)
 
Oh that's too funny! There's been a percussion/drum set I've seen every year at xmas that I've wanted to get for my nephews. I didn't out of consideration but it looks so fun...plus my sister in law has been a snot so next year I just may buy it :) Glad you're doing well and knees aren't hurting too much.
 
thanks for replies. Super busy atm, no time for anything at all. Went out last night for wedding anniversary and ate an entire packet of popcorn (850 cals?!) other than that , diet is on track.
Sticking with my 'no processed shit' diet, other than sauces, or flavouring of course :)
Knee has got worse with some exercises i did at my PT course, and all my assignments for this session are due tonight plus testing.

I got a new ukulele that i love, but have not had time to touch it and will not until tomorrow at the latest!
 
Awesome that you're staying on track still :) Good luck on all your tests and hope stuff calms down for you soon, including your knee!

You should never be embarrassed (easier said, than done, right?! :) The fact that you accomplished such a goal is amazing! And the fact that you're motivated to get back into weight loss, and exercise is even more fantastic!

One thing- "Sticking with my 'no processed shit' diet" ....made me laugh! This is hard to do! It's amazing how much food is processed! But this is a life changing choice- and such a big choice requires hard work! Good luck! And enjoy your new instrument :)

Yeah, no shame right? but i still feel it anyway! it is amazing how many foods are processed foods we have, i do have some leeway though. I allow myself things like sauces or low fat gravy things. I don't allow myself potato much at all.

As far as weight loss, none this week it seems - or at least since i last weighed in. I forget when that was. Knee is back being injured which is frustrating. busy busy busy week! yet again!
 
Hey Liz just stopping by to say hi. I admire you for your diet philosophy. Am trying it myself. Vegetables and oxygen, that's what I'm on.
 
It's a slow and steady race!! You'll get there! The number on the scale doesn't always reflect how your body feels to you :)

Keep it up! You're doing FANTASTIC! And I hope your knee is better soon ;)
 
bah! i was doing fine, then one night kids had pizza, i was hungry so i thought 'what harm will one piece do?'.
4 pieces later....
Next day, family gathering, i was doing ok for the most part, and then came desert and they had chocolate eclairs .... again my downfall was 'what harm can one do?'
i shit you not, 4 chocolate eclairs, a meringue , jelly etc :/
 
Okay, apart from that one slip up, im doing fine. Not had time to do much more than update my own diary, let along post elsewhere!

Weight went down by 2lb the other day (1kg) which was good, but havnt even had time to weigh in other than that. Need to update my ticker
