Hey! I remember you , good to see you still here! :D

Great family pics! It's so nice to have shots where everyone looks so stinkin' happy!

Yeah, they were happy, hugging, and having a laugh :D

aw your kids are adorable :)
Thanks!
I haven't seen anyone else on here from before.....
Hope all are well.
Both my boys were c-sections. But I can't use that as an excuse (they're 6 and 2).
Going to try and get on track today... :)
Looking forward to following your journey again!
Ahhh i had 5 births, 3 natural and 2 C sections - C Sections were easier i tell you! :D

Good food day today, though mostly shitty protein bars due to excessive fun!

Got up lateish, forgot to have breakfast until we were heading out at 11am or so (only an hour or so after i got up!). Packed the bikes on the car, borrowed a 4th and headed up to a mountain bike track.
For the record, mountain biking is not up mountains nessarily, in this case it was like a bush walk , but done on a bike. Had a few cool small sharp downhills and uphills which were fun. We spent about an hour or so - until my knee gave out.
Re-packed the bikes on the car (thats a workout in itself since half are on the roof!) and headed home whilst eating lunch.
Pretty darned sore after mowing the lawns yesterday, all up the back and in the legs. I figure I'm only adding to that by doing what I did today. Tomorrow may have to be a rest day for the knees!
Tomorrow is NY night anyway, and we are having a mega BBQ with co-workers. I love BBQ, it makes it easy to stick to the diet, usually lots of vegetables and meat and not too much garbage (except booze!)

Sounds like a fantastic day!
I love your photos too, they're great :)
Happy New Year for tomorrow night - hope you enjoy the Barbie! We're taking the kids down to the beach to watch the big fireworks show, I love doing that with the kids. We go every year :biggrinjester:

Sounds like you're going to have fun :) So weird to hear about bbqs when I'm surrounded by 3ft of snow here. But yea I'm sure that's cuz it's not winter there! I'll just go out and build my snowman :X j/k....way too cold, lol.

Hah yeah everywhere in the world is doom and gloom of snow, floods etc, and we're in the middle of a drought!
Happy New years everyone!!! :D
NY party last night meant i sort of went off the diet. I ate only kebabs (skewer kind) and steak, but i ate a little too much really.
Then i had some marshmellows over fire, and a little desert (mostly fruit and custard). So it wasn't *too* bad, but worse than i would normally allow.
I'm ok with it though, it was a one night off, and compared to the fat cow next to me hogging every single bit of food i thought i did well :)
Breakfast was lunch today, bacon and egg, but only a small bit.

Hey wishes, seems like you and I had a similar NYE :p I also had a night off, but I think you did better than me! I ate ice-cream, chocolate and waaay too much bad salad (meaning that it was loaded with bacon and cheese), but overall think I did ok all things considered. I was tempted to eat crap today, but like you said - it was just one night off! :)

Oh damn! yeah i resisted the chocolate, cake, ice creams, and other things ok. I did have one pudding thing, but it was relatively sane. I planned ahead and bought a HUGE platter of carrots, cucumber, etc and hummus dip, then sat in front of it most of the night. It saved my bacon!
Speaking of bacon, seriously? on a salad? with cheese? DAMN! :D

Came by to check on ya wishes and after reading the last few posts about food I'm feeling glad there's no buffet restaurants open at the moment, lol. I think we need one of those profanity filters they use in some places but for food....chocolate cake would come out @*$^&(#$.

"Yea I so screwed up yesterday, I ate #$@@*# with a side of #(&*$@#"

I know, I'm silly :) But seriously I'm just glad my husband finished off the dang xmas cookies ....I swear we were sent like 4 dozen. Oh and one of my christmas presents was lotion that smells like cookies called gingersnap.....bleh, lol. Love it but hate it.

Today i did good on diet, forgot vitamins which i need to recall, went for an hour or so easy cycling with the kids.
Knee felt twinges of pain both before and after the cycling, no change is good. Took ibprofen anyway to make sure it didn't swell too much and get worse.
friends came over for dinner, played cards for a while with husband whilst i practiced my Ukulele ... oh did i mention that?
I had a hankering just before Xmas for a ukulele, I recalled having one as a toy as a child and i remembered about 2 chords (if that!), so i i bought one. It arrived after xmas and i immediately started reading online and learning to play. I think i have had it a week already, and i can play fairly proficiently now. Will upload some videos to youtube when i'm able to sing and play at the same time decently enough (and after i get new strings!)
Any other Uke fans on the forum?

I've heard of them but didn't know what it was. It looks like a small guitar...does it sound similar?

it is like a small guitar, its got a different sound - more of a plunky higher pitched sound here is a fairly modern song using a uke

One of the better uke players in the world sounds really good (if i could ever be this good i would be stoked!)

Oh I love that first song! Haven't listened to the second one and had to come back and post. Now I know what it is and whenever I hear a ukulele in a song it reminds me of music on a tropical vacation....not sure why, lol. I imagine myself around a campfire on a beach under some palm trees :D

Listened to the second video.....all I can say is friggin WOW. Never thought it could sound like that, that's amazing! I went and followed some other links of that guy and looks like he's been playing since he was 8.

My mom has a ukelele she got when she was a kid. How neat! I'll have to check out the videos when I am on a computer.

Ahhh that would be because they are HUGE in Hawaii! In fact, though they were not invented in Hawaii, they were popularized there, and Hawaii is well known as the Ukulele capital of the world :D

True, does she play much?

I just went back to my list of 'things to do during holidays' and added a DONE to about another 5 - looks like im halfway through my list already! Other things may not be able to be completed due to lacking funds/time/parts (mostly the fixie bikes)
List is at http://weight-loss.fitness.com/weig...d-55-over-time-heading-back-3.html#post744780

Gonna not do the go-carting, and go mountain biking instead. Cheaper, lasts longer, and WAY more fun! :D
Today we went for a nice bike ride into town, picked up a movie, and i had to sit through camp rock 2 (can you say auto tune and over processed? :O )

Diet has been good, though i do admit to eating lollies on both today and yesterday, but literally only 2!
Went to Auckland (400km round trip) for the day and dropped kids with friends to play. I went to visit friends, making sure that i did not eat/stay at one particular friends place who is a terrible eater.
Was super surprised and pleased that I turned up at a friends place for lunch expecting to only be able to pick and choose the foods, and she had a super mega amazing salad with all the right foods! It had nuts, seeds, boiled eggs, every vegetable , a low fat super yum dressing and bite sized pieces of bacon for flavoring!
Went to my brother for dinner only to have almost the same thing! they remembered that not only was i watching what i ate, but stuck again to the meat, veges and unprocessed foods. Another huge fantastic salad, and a low fat lamb chop!

I don't think i ever have had that in all the time i have watched my diet, people actually supporting me and going out of their way to help out and make sure there were foods i could eat!! So awesome!

Can't wait to go mountain biking again tomorrow !

That is awesome your friends and family are being so supportive! I wanted a salad really bad yesterday and all my stuff went bad. After reading again I'm gonna have to grab stuff at the store today or tomorrow and make a huge salad :D Craving salad....who would have thought? Enjoy you're bike ride today!

Doh! i have been struggling sleeping, my legs feel like burning and i was having pains up and down my legs, but minor. I assumed most of it was my knees from the runners knee, but the lack of sleeping and more burning thighs made me google.
Turns out im lacking magnesium and possibly some other essentials, this all happened at about 4am this morning when i hadn't yet been able to sleep. I checked my cupboard and sure enough, i had some vitamin pills . I took too and within 30 mins i had no more burning or cramping.
This morning again i had more burning, so took yet another pill, though its still a bit oddness. Hopefully the symptoms will disappear in the next few days before i go on holiday.
