YAY!!!!! Congrats on your loss so far!!! Keep it up. As far as what your in-law says, You know what works for you so you make your chioces for your weight loss. It is always helpful for different tips but you know you're body better then anyone else. Obviously you are doing something right.:D

As for the yoga, I also don't know much about it. I do the Denice Austin Pilates. It's only 20 min. There are two parts. One with pilates and the other mixed with yoga and Pilates. I had never done it before but I jumped right into to it and it was fairly easy.

But people do reccomend going to a classs for learing how to do the proper positions. BUt start from there. I think yoga is more of a spiritual, mind,de-stresser. As well as Pilates. "To eachs it's own".

hey Raina, do whatever you feel comfy, but remember unless you do some sort of cardio to up the metabolism you dont want your calories to go to low otherwise your body will go into whats called starvation mode which means it all goes slower and keeps every bit of fat :/

Thanks for helping me with my Yoga/pilates questions. i'll check out the video's I have on Yoga, and go get some on pilates as well. We'll see which one I like the best.

For sure!! I think they are the best on the market. I have tried balance bars, PROTEIN bars, Pria, etc. and these are the best. They have 16g of Protein in them and only 210 calories. I totally look forward to having them.
 
keep an eye out for Horleys Carbless protien bars. 180 cal and 18.4g Protien and they taste like im eating a chocolate bar!

Consistancy!

For the first time, I feel like i'm really kicking some butt over here!!! I have been consistant, and I feel great! I don't feel deprived, tired, nothing! Just great!

Oh, and I lifted some weights for 20 minutes yesterday. I'm going to ride the bike this afternoon.

Thanks for the encouragement! I need it. I'm pretty proud of myself this morning. My father-in-law brought dougnuts over and... my husband had one, and I passed them up. They are still sitting on the counter, but so far... so good.
Yesterday, I had to meet someone for lunch (even though I already ate, and I didn't want to meet there, but... i tried to make the best choice possible).

Breakfast:
2 instant oatmeals = 300

Snack:
Cottage cheese = 100

Lunch:
Ham and cheese Quesadilla = 300
KFC, Roasted twister = 550 :(

Dinner:
Progresso Soup = 200

Snack:
Zone Bar = 210

Total = 1660
 
Nice job on passing on the sweets. I've been pastry free for almost 6 months and you can rest-assured, if I fall off the wagon, it's gonna be from one of those lil critters right there - the almighty doughnut.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the pastry family, again, nice job on holding your ground.

it may not seem like it wont be much if you skip that doughnut and few things here and there you will be amazed what it would add up too

Thanks guys for giving me the kudos for skipping that doughnut! I finally threw it away just so it would stop staring me in the face. Although, the evening didn't go that well.
My husband took me out to a movie, and took me to IHOP. I know that is cheezy, but I love love love their crepes. We don't have one too close to us, so it was super sweet that he thought of something that would make ME smile. It was cute. (i'll look at it as a reward)

IHOP Crepes + hashbrowns + egg. :( ??? at least 1000!!!

Alright!!! Another pound gone! So far so good. The weekend is hard to stay great as we always seem to have events and things to go to.
I won't report the calories since there is no way that I could have a clue, but I'm back on track this morning. I'm shooting for another pound this week. Wish me luck!
