Rah's Diary started May 07

Hi Sarah

Some weeks the scales just do not want to move down. I'm sure that they will next week as long as you keep up the sensible eating and exercise.

I hope that you are having a good last day at the old job. I used to love leaving jobs. There is always the anticipation of what will come next.

I didnt know that you had to wear special clogs in theatre. You read the forum and increase the general knowledge. Why clogs?

Take care
Love

Im am DETERMIND this week to have a loss i think i will cut an arm off if i have to but there will be an official loss on those slimming world scales (my scales showed a 1lb loss this morning so good for challenge) and also looks good for wednesday

I hope that you are having a good last day at the old job. I used to love leaving jobs. There is always the anticipation of what will come next.
My last day was really good quite quiet so left with good thoughts and no customers shouting that their water pipe has not been connected
I will miss the people but not the job and i have e-mail address's so thats not a problem,
Im getting quite excited and thinking about what to expect on monday it all seems so real now

I think it has something to do with cleaning them and keeping sterilised but bot 100% to be honest but i am sure i will find out why on monday :)

:seeya:Hi, Rah!

Just dropped by to see how you're doing these days. How exciting about your move to working in the OR ! I work at a hospital and absolutely LOVE my job. It is so interesting! I am guessing you're a nurse...

As for the scales not reflecting much of a loss lately, don't worry about it. If you are following your programme, the weight WILL depart! Sometimes it is just stubborn, is all :smash:

Hang in there, and best wishes on your grand new job!

Hi Sarah

I hope that you are having a great week in your new job. It is great that you are finally doing the job that you have been trained to do.

I imagine that you will be finding it tiring. I tended to find that new jobs were until you got into the swing of things.

Did you go to Slimming World last night? Any news from the scales?

I would understand it if you had done a touch of stress-eating as there is always a bit of stress associated with a new job.

I just hope that things are going well for you. Let me know how things are going.

Take care
Love

HI Guys thanks for dropping in

Well i have been mad busy this week note the reason i havent been around
New job is going great i am based in the oprating room its self helping the surgens and passing them the insturments they need really interesting and i have seen loads already i am based in the trauma OR so its a bit of everything i am there for 3 months them move to the next area there are 5 areas in total so i will see loads more once i get round them all!!!
I am soooooo tired when i get it though which i didnt think i would be but i guess its mental and physical now so i will be i didnt get the gym as much as i would liked to but made up for it on the evening walks with the dog,
I think i need a new peadometer then wear it to work it would be interesting as there is LOADS of walking involved!

Well weigh in on Wed...i was the same so i stayed and chatted and she suggested i look at what they call speed foods like beans, strawberries fish so i am having Salmon for dinner tonight
I only had 1 day of comfort eating mainly through stress i think but i got it undercontrol quite quick so im happy with that and all my eating in work has been fruit and sandwich/salad so very healthy

I have tried to get round to say hi to everyone but still have a few to go so will try to do that now

Hi Sarah

Well done for maintaining the same weight at a stressful time and limiting things to one day of comfort eating. That is an achievement in my book.

I am pleased that you are enjoying your new job and am not surprised that you are finding it tiring. It sounds like you are getting tons of really valuable experience which will help you are your career develops.

I am interested that SW consider beans, strawberries and fish to be special speed foods. I have found fish to be very good for weight loss for me and tend towards having a lot of baked beans. Baked beans are excellent for cholesterol and hubby is genetically prone towards high cholesterol. Are there any other foods that SW recommend?

Good luck with week 2 at the new job. Good luck at the scales for Wednesday.

Take care
Love

Thanks for the rep Sarah. You bet I am going to keep walking. I have walked everyday this week ..lol I am so proud ...

Thanks for your confidence in me. Everytime I see that rep .. I will know how much people care on this forum ..thanks hun for taking the time to go in my diary. I know I don't go in many diaries. I try, but sometimes I get bogged down with homework, get bored by the puter, or need to get away from the puter, or aren't home. But thanks hun
and I shall visit more often. Your job sounds incredible ..wowser ..
Keep it up!!

Dream big, Work hard and Play hard, as they say. Thats what I am learning to do ..

thanks hun

Hi Sarah

I am sorry to see that you have been eliminated in the challenge. Sooner or later we all will be - and the big competition will be the parallel contest which we will all join. Good luck in that parallel contest.

Sorry its taken so long for me to reply to this one
but here are some of the foods which SW consider super speed foods and if you are maintaining they suggest you eat mainly these foods to give the kick start you need so here are a few examples

Super Speed Beans, Fruit, Veg
Baked Beans, Broad Beans, Butter Beans, Garden Peas, Mushy Peas, Petits Pois,
Bilberries, Blackberries, Blackcurrents, Cranberries, Lemons, Limes, Rubarb, Strawberries,

Nearly all fruit and Veg are speed foods but above are the super speed foods

Super Speed Meat, Fish
Tripe, Cod, Coley, Haddock, Lemon Sole, Monkfish, Plaice, Skate, Crab, Crayfish, Squid

Speed meat and fish
Veal, Chicken, Turkey, Kidney, Venison, Bass, Hake, Halibut, Swordfish, Canned Tuna, Lobster, Mussels Prawns, Scampi (not in breadcrumbs)

Hope this makes sence if not let me know or if anything not listed i will look up for you
Sarah
