Put that down, fatty! (again!)

I use the belt hole method lol
A valid method, good Sir.

I would eat a little more if I were you
I'm quite tall (5'10) so I know my calories are too low. I would normally like to be around 1400/1500 but I'm really pushing for 2lb loss this week so I'm sticking to 1200 and under for a few more days.

I don't know how you manage to stay at 1000-1200 calories.
With great difficulty and lots of early nights! I was in bed by 20:30 last night. I pick when I'm bored so we tend to work/read/chill until 19:30, have dinner and then I've been going to bed to read by 21:30 most nights. And during the day I'm too busy to worry about food for the most part!

What´s a graze box? It sounds dangerously delicious but the calories must be really low!
They are delicious little boxes of goodness. So all under 150 calories each (most between 75-100) that have things like cashews, popcorn, seeds, nuts, little flapjack pieces etc. They're lovely.

Right, I'm still at work but posting cheekily on a tea break. I've been a little worried the last few days - one of the "girls" felt a little sore and I convinced myself I could feel a lump and started googling and it's not been much fun.. So I went to the GP this morning and got checked out completely and both girls are in great shape and they have no concerns. Just time of the month related boob-ache. So I feel both silly for worrying and proud of myself for getting my butt straight to the doctors. We should not procrastinate when it comes to our health. They weighed me and confirmed my weight loss too and were really pleased.
Supposed to be volunteering tonight but I slept really poorly stressing about this morning so I'm giving it a miss and looking forward to an early night with my book. I've started Infinite Jest after watching the new film about David Foster Wallace. Yank has read it twice (he is sickeningly smart, love him so much) and I feel I should give it a crack now.

Will post food before bed. Scales still being gorgeous - on track for a 2lb loss this week if I can keep it up! Fingers crossed.

Jacket potato = baked potato with skin?
Yes my babe! Delicious, low cal potatoey goodness.

I have had that same issue since I was 17 or 18 I was scared half to death apparently evening primrose helps with them! I can never remember to take them every day though which is what you are meant to do. Well done you for having a goal and sticking to it even when it is hard.

One more extreme week is fine! Sometimes you just need to push it! ;)

And 1400/1500 calories is a healthy amount. You've got this!

Infinite Jest on a huge calorie deficit might actually help. I've read a chunk of it and I will get back to it again. It's one of the rare books that affects me strongly and I have to take it in doses. Godel, Esher, Bach is another one. They are two extremely different books that both put me in a hyperanalytical, cerebral, pensive place where I go a bit nuttier. Both get me twisted up in an existential and reality vs. perception trip that makes me doubt everything. Kafka and Vonegut fit in that mental mix somehow as well.

Twice Yank!? I don't know what to say or how to feel about that. Much like the contents of the book.

Good luck!

Ah, the achy-boob-is-that-a-lump-am-I-dying?!-routine... I usually get that in the top 5 kg of my unfortunate weight range. Couldn´t do full-contact sports without boob armor last time.

Thanks Morgane :) will check out the primrose idea! Never heard of that.

Thanks Tri, although I've gone over calories today after telling you how hard I'm trying to stay under 1400! Derppp. Never mind.

Q, I've heard Infinite Jest hits guys a lot more than us gals. Have you seen the film with Jason Segal about the rolling stones interview that was done with Foster Wallace? Really insightful. Has made me very curious. Yank said he's "nervous" for me to read it so guess it really did something to him when he read it too! Just did some research about Godel, Esher, Bach. Have ordered it on Amazon, will let you know how I get on. Apparently "I am a strange loop" is a good one to follow up with..

Glad I'm not alone with achy-boob syndrome, LaMa. Freaked me out a little!!

Right, I've gone over calories today. However, I've done a ton of exercise so not too stressed (still quite stressed...am really keen for my 2lbs this week!!). Never mind. Off work tomorrow on a study day so sleeping in, doing some exercise, eating right and doing some work for my essays. Researching "Dialogue and Conflict Resolution" for some upcoming shitty conversations I need to have with some clients next week. Knowledge is power, etc etc.

2nd February

Breakfast: alpen bar (65)
Lunch: home-made pesto pasta with greenbeans (455)
Dinner: turkey dinosaur sandwich...yes..really. (720)
Snacks: 1 yummy yoghurt, 3 crackers with lowcal cheese spread, 100mls wine (394)

Total: 1634
Steps: 17,000

You are doing amazingly well Hana! You get things done! I used to take Evening Primrose Oil & it really did alleviate PMT, boob ache etc. for me.
I have just ordered both books from our library. My brain might be about to be boggled :)

I've never read Infinite Jest, might add it to the long list of books I want to read. What the hell is a turkey dinosaur sandwich??!!

Wow Hana, I will need updates on your experiences. Maybe I'll blow the dust off of one or both.
:eek2:

I tried I Am a Strange Loop after taking a break from GEB and I had such high expectations that I couldn't get into it. I had a notebook, math reference books, and dry erase board for GEB. Intellectually challenging is an understatement. There are tests. I'm still pissed off at Doug about one of them. My brain isn't wired that way, but that's partially what made it so damn mind-blowing. I realized a real similarity between GEB and Infinite Jest. You could smash a grown rat with either. *Reads a TV show

So sorry about the boob scare! It's really frightening to feel like something is wrong like that. :/

Sounds like you had a pretty good day though. I wish you luck in your research tomorrow. I hate having difficult conversations with people.

What the hell is a turkey dinosaur sandwich??!!

It was two turkey dinosaurs in a roll...turkey dinosaurs are like chicken nuggets but turkey, and shaped like dinosaurs. The shame.

Thanks for commenting everyone - love all your support and lovely stuffs. You are good peoples.

Dear god, I am so hungover. Yank persuaded me to go out for ONE drink which then turned into about 10 drinks and then I brought snacks and then we passed out. Drunken Hana protected sensible Hana by refusing to order pizza when we got home at 1am but am still full of regret. Scales still being kind, although this is probably because I have no liquid left in my body and am close to death by dry mouth. Whyyy do I do this. I was so good all week! Never mind. Am also out tonight with work friends so will be drinking again - can control food for the day and will only order SMALL glasses of wine (which I was not doing last night) or I may just switch to soft drinks as I feel as if I drink anymore I may expire.

Will do proper weigh in tomorrow. Calories for yesterday must have been around 2200.

*is sick*

Catch up later lovelies xo

Hey LaMa - that's a good question. My tolerance has definitely gone down. I had 9 or 10 125ml glasses of wine so that's the equivalent of about a bottle and a half which I'd have had on a weeknight 2/3 times a week before Christmas. Guess my hangover is a testament to my new lifestyle :D

Hope you felt better as the day went on Hana. I also hope you have a nice, but sober night out hon. I hate hangovers!

I have also experienced the lower tolerance problem. Last time I went drinking with my friends, I set out with the intention to only get mildly tipsy. I was plastered by the end of the night just because it didn't occur to me that I'd need to drink less alcohol to get the same effect with 40 or 50 lbs less weight on me.

*hangs head in shaaaaame*

Oh, gorgeous people of WLF, why did I not take my own advice and have soft drinks. Bleh. It was a great night - just three of us that are very close from work went out for dinner and drinks. It sounds like things have gone to shit somewhat since I left to go on my placement, every one is working crazy hours, new manager isn't massively supportive and my clients have all been very difficult. Feel awful for them. Wish I could go back to my job sooner than June. Feels ages away. Anyway, one of the girls was really morose and got really drunk and was quite difficult to get in a taxi so we had to ring her mum to come and collect her from my house at 1am! We are all in our late twenties! The shaaaame. Anyway, I drank small glasses of wine but ate mac and cheese with garlic bread instead of a healthy option so calories were around 2300 for the day.

We are supposed to be meeting my friend and his boyfriend at the jazz bar this afternoon - Yank is planning to just have coffee. I'm really craving orange juice and lemonade or pineapple juice. I'm not hungover but just feel so tired and my skin has all broken out and just feeling generally run down and shit now. Drinking heavily for two days just damages your body so much.. definitely going to be having a sober few days now. I love the working week and the routine and structure of it. Am planning my low-calorie soup for tonight and am batch cooking it for lunches all week. Have a healthy food shop coming tomorrow night so I can do lots of stuffed peppers and low-calorie curries and stews.

Magically, the scales are still kind this morning. I've lost 2lbs this week which is exactly what I wanted! I think my super low-calorie days combined with the two days of 17,000+ steps really helped.

Week One: 199lbs to 194.5lbs (-4.5)
Week Two: 194.5lbs to 191.5 (-3)
Week Three: 191.5lbs to 190 (-1.5)
Week Four: 190 to 189 (-1)
Week Five: 189 to 187.5 (-1.5)
Week Six: 187.5 to 186 (-1.5)
Week Seven: 186 to 184 (-2)
Week Eight: 184 (0)
Week Nine: 184 to 182 (-2)

Total: 17lbs down since Jan 1st 2017
