AThanks Irish!

Ah so back to reality, waiting in the airport now to catch our connecting flight. Have done so well with food eating out! I'm pro at it haha. Lunch yesterday I ordered steak- was supposed to cone with either salad or veg, potato mash or chips, and sauce. I ordered it with salad AND veg, no potatoes, no sauce, and dressing on the side. Was so yum! I'll post a pic later haha. Dinner was at the airport, I had a Vietnamese chicken salad with dressing on the side. Brekki today was out too, I was catching up with a friend. Had 2 poached eggs on one piece of wholemeal toast with spinach and tomato on the side. Just had morning tea as well- bought a fruit n nut mix from the airport and just picked out the nuts, and had a fruit salad. Food for the rest of the day-

L- mountain bread pizza with cream cheese, grilled chicken, tomatoes and spinach
S- 2 crackers with 1tsp nut butter
D- grilled chicken with 3 veg and 1/2 cup of rice

No exercise! Will post again when I'm home.

Aaaaand I'm home. SO good to see my husband again!!! Love that boy :hurray: Also... weigh in tomorrow. Scary shit! Actually know I've lost weight, it's super obvious... Still, how much... Really hoping to be 65ish!!

Food Plan For Tomorrow

B- 2 hard boiled eggs, 1/3 avocado, 1 piece wheat free toast

S- 2 wheat free crackers, 1 tsp nut butter

L- Mountain bread pizza with chicken, tomatoes, spinach, cream cheese, parmesan

S- 200g low fat pot set yogurt, cinnamon, 20g almonds

D- Homemade beef stroganoff with 2 veg

Exercise- 30min strength training

Ok people... weighed in at 65.8kg today! So 1.3kgs down while on holidays- pretty sure I've lost more but about to get TOM... I'm so bloated and bla. Also lost 1% bf. I'm weighing in again on Tue so can see if there's much of a difference then I guess!! Still happy with that result, considering I was eating 1-2 meals out most days... had a couple of really bad days too. Pics show a huge difference!

Ohhhh my freakin GOD. Just did the hardest workout ever!!! Thought I was going to have a bit of a spew a couple of times lol, not gunna lie!! Haha had left over stir fry for lunch straight after and my hand was shaking picking up my fork. Wade and I bought boxing gear so did some boxing which is always fun!!! Oh, have to say... So proud of Wade!! He lost 4.7kgs while on hols!!! I've asked him if he's interested in seeing my nutritionist as well and he's seriously considering it. He said he'll wait till he is back at work because he will be more likely to stick to it while not at home.

If you're interested, I've attached my planned workouts for the week- workout 1 is what I did today, workout 2-3 will be Sun and Tue. 5-10mins boxing at the start of each session too!

Ok... so for tomorrow...

Food plan for tomorrow

B- 2 eggs, 1/3 avocado, 1 piece wheat free toast

S- 1 apple, 40g mixed nuts

L- Mountain bread pizza with cream cheese, spinach, tomatoes, herbed chicken breast, parmesan

S- 1 carrot, 2 celery sticks with 40g hummus

D- Homemade beef stroganoff with 1/2 cup brown rice, beans and sweet potato mash

Exercise- Might go for a swim!

Oh hey, I made almond milk this morning!!! So much better than the nasty supermarket stuff. I soaked 1/2 cup raw insecticide free almonds in water overnight, rinsed them this morning and put them in a blender with 4 cups water and blended. Then strained it into a jug through a cheesecloth and put in a few drops of vanilla stevia. So creamy and beautiful in my coffee!

Hey Lucy....you are looking great....and a weightloss while on holidays is such a acheivment!"!!! I used to make Almond milk for my daughter when she was a baby she had really bad exema and all formula made it worst so I made almond milk....that memory just popped into my head when I read your post I had to share.....I think I will dust my old taeboe dvd`s

Thanks Vero!! Being on holidays and actively trying to eat healthy was a challenge, but a really good experience!!! It forced me to learn how to order from restaurants correctly for starters... I would normally only go out for dinner once every few months and it'd always stress me out, then I'd end up having a huge blow out. Now I know it's absolutely possible to have to dine out every day and still stick to plan, haha!

Something that I found interesting that might encourage people to take up exercise (if you aren't already)... I was going through old photos of me at my lightest weight- 2.3kgs/ 5lbs lighter than I am now... And I'm smaller now than I was there. When I got to my lightest weight before I'd only just started having problems with my knees and I gave up all exercise and couldn't walk for a really long time (I couldn't this time around either but kept exercising this time around) So yea, that really surprised me! Measurements are mostly the same too, except my bust is 4cms bigger still and waist is 1cm bigger. Body shape is completely different though!

It's interesting the difference exercise makes.

You've given me inspiration for my next holiday. We are going on a 4 week trip to the USA in 3 weeks time, and i've been worrying how to eat well, and exercise while there, but you are an inspiration! We will def make our own breakfasts and try to eat only one meal out a day. I think buying lots of fruit for snacks will help too.

Anyway well done, you look awesome.

Anna

Hi Anna!!! Eating out while away was much easier than I thought... I pretty much ordered whatever meal I wanted by the protein I felt like, then just ordered it grilled, no sauce, no potatoes etc on the side but extra veg/ salad and any dressings on the side. Also didn't have starters, and dessert was either green tea or coffee. Also only had alcohol a few times, and only 1 or 2 glasses of wine (mostly because I'm a lightweight and that's definitely enough to give me a headspin!!) With my nutrition plan though I'm allowed one treat meal a week, so did have dessert once and actually ended up having a couple of whole bad days... oops! Still, I was on holidays and didn't want to completely deprive myself. I know I could've had better results but I don't regret not trying harder!! Glad I can be an inspiration to someone, you made my day

Go me, I just went for a half hour swim!! It's 37 degrees (celcius) outside today so pretty damn hot out there. Was beautiful in the water!!! Going to swim tomorrow too instead of working out- I did Mon/ Wed/ Fri last week so think I'll do the same next week. Also, it's going to be even hotter so I think swimming is the better option lol. Hubby has the day off so he can join me!!

Oh don't know if I wrote it above or not but got TOM yesterday, so I really could've been retaining when I weighed in. Will see on Tue I guess!!!! Decided now that I'm home this should be much easier, and since I'm doing 'cheat free October' with a group on FB... I'm upping this months goal! Would love to be 62.8kgs by the 30th!!! It'll be rough but aiming for as close to that as I can get!!!

Food plan for tomorrow

B- 2 hard-boiled eggs, mashed with 1/3 avocado, on 1 piece wheat free toast with a cup of wilted spinach and a grilled tomato (YAY for Sunday morning cook ups!)
S- Punnet of strawberries, 40g mixed nuts

L- Homemade mountain bread sausage roll with chicken breast mince, onion and curry power, served with sliced cucumber, tomato and capsicum

S- One carrot and 2 sticks of celery cut into sticks with 40g hummus

D- Grilled barramundi seasoned with salt, pepper and lemon, with a baked potato with light sour cream, a 1/2 cob of corn, and leftover salad bits (probably same as lunch!)

Exercise- 30mins swimming

Lil bit of a funny movie for a Sunday morning... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RLAGxUbp-U&sns=fb It's called 'How diets work', someone shared it on FB and it gave me the giggles a little... it's also pretty true to how I used to be ALL the time, so thought it was pretty relevant!

So haven't done much today (it's only after 7:30am... dammit I still keep waking up so early cuz of the timezone change! Last night was the first night I didn't keep waking up though... I still got up before 6am!) Did my painful glute/hip routine, cooked up brekki for me and the hubby. Ohh, I bought a cute lil dress off the net last night to wear to our anniversary dinner out in a week n a bit!! Hoping to weigh 64.3kg by that weeks weigh in, which is not Tue coming but the one after. Here it is if you're interested! http://www.dotti.com.au/shop/en/dotti/clothing/dresses/floral-wrap-dress I really want her necklace too, but Dotti doesn't sell their jewelery online!! Boo!! That is the last thing I'm buying till I'm at my goal weight by the way! (Clothing-wise at least!) Also bought some pea protein powder which should be here this week (I can't have whey, trying to keep dairy to a minimum as per my nutrition plan as it can bring on my IBS) So we'll see how that goes. I bought plain for baking/ smoothies and chocolate to see how it tastes. Ingredients list was really good, only 5 or 6 things on there and nothing I couldn't pronounce!

Food plan for tomorrow

B- 2 eggs, 1/3 avocado on 1 piece wheat free toast

S- Banana, 40g mixed raw nuts

L- Homemade mountain bread chicken mince sausage roll with stir fry

S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1tsp nut butter

D- Vegetarian lasagna made with mountain bread instead of pasta, layered with spinach, pumpkin and onion mix with cottage cheese and a sprinkle of parmesan on top. Served with leftover fish

Exercise- 30mins strength training and boxing

Sunday lunch!!! Mountain bread sausage rolls (made with chicken breast mince, not sausage) and salad. So good! I think I'll add spinach and herbs next time I make the sausage rolls, these ones are chicken breast mince, onion, garlic and curry powder.

Ha that video cracked me up! Thanks for sharing :hurray: Also, yay for the tasty food! Hope it's a great week for you

Naif

I cooked the nicest fish last night, we bought barramundi and I marinated it in lemon, basil and garlic for about 20mins then grilled it. Was so good! However I got a bit peckish after that, ended up eating another serve of those sausage rolls I made and a bowl of Greek yogurt with organic coconut... So hmmm... I guess it's still a cheat, though it wasn't necessarily unhealthy? I'll call it a cheat day but say I'm still ok for 'no cheat October?' Ooo and I cooked my usual pancake ingredients into really yummy chocolate pancakes this morning!!! It was 1/3 cup oats, 1 banana, 1.5 tbsp shredded coconut, 0.5tbsp chia seeds, 1 tsp cinnamon, and a small tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder. Added them all to the blender until the oats were smooth, and made 4 amazing pancakes!

I gave my husband my resignation letter to hand in today... So finally out of that place. I'm still pretty incapable of walking enough to have a job on my feet anyway. So... I'm either going to try and do my first year of study by correspondence or get a sit down job and save and wait till we move. We shall see what happens!

Food for tomorrow

B- 2 eggs on 1 piece wheat free toast with 1/3 avocado

S- Apple, 40g mixed nuts

L- Homemade mountain bread chicken breast sausage rolls with stir fried veg on the side

S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1 tsp nut butter

D- Vegetarian mountain bread lasagna with meatballs on the side

Exercise- 30mins swimming!! When I swam yesterday I made it harder for my legs- I swam up the pool full body, and swam back on my back kicking without using my arms. Did fewer laps than I normally do but it was a lot harder! And the goal is to improve strength and stability in my legs.

Handed in my resignation letter at work. Decision wasn't really mine in the end anyway, was told before I left that there wasn't any seated work for me to do. Also casuals have all had their hours cut, the town is emptying out as the mine sites have laid off over 2000 people in the last few weeks. Also it's much hotter this than it should be this time of year- supposed to be 42 tomorrow!- That's 108 F for everyone else. Yikes. So all of the nomad-type people we get around have cleared off. Pretty much means that sales have dropped, so mega cutbacks are happening. Well there's all of that, plus my husband said I shouldn't go back as it's become an even more hostile work environment since I left. Did I mention I hate this town!???

So yea, found myself today wondering what now? Sent an enquiry to the university I want to attend next year when we move, want to find out what I have to do to be guaranteed a position. And if I can start mid next year- if I can't I'll see if I can do the first year by correspondence and go on campus second year onward. There's pretty much no work going which sucks, even if I end up studying I don't want to be stuck in the house for close to another year. So life is pretty up in the air right now!

One last thing- Wade and I bought a boxing bag today! Don't know if we'll be able to hang it or not, but it's really heavy so will be good to pull around during workouts and can sit on it and punch down. If we can hang it it'll be outside on the patio.

Maybe you could paint the name of the town on the boxing bag and then pound the hell out of it...might be theraputic!

Hello all!! Had a pretty shitty weigh in, but was expecting it... Weighed in at 66.2kgs, but I haven't been sleeping well since I've been back- had a good sleep last night though. Also have my period which would explain some retention. Not too concerned, I realise I can't lose weight every week! Spoke to a PT over the phone today too, he's keen to help me getting walking again and he has a lot of ideas to help me. He's going to write me an exercise plan based on pics I've sent him demonstrating my posture etc, so this will be interesting!

Having a chilled out inside day today, it's already insanely hot out. Got hot too early for me to swim too, so no exercise today.

Plan for tomorrow

B- 1/3 cup oats with 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp LSA, 1 banana

S- Apple, 40g nuts

L- Wrap with tuna and bean mix and salad

S- Carrot and celery sticks with 40g hummus

D- Vegetarian mountain bread lasagna with meatballs

Exercise- 30mins strength training with boxing thrown in

Ahhh. Extra snacking got me again yesterday! So angry with myself!!! Being at home with nothing to do is no excuse. It's exactly 12 weeks till the end of the year, and I want to be at my goal weight by then! 6 Perfect days for the rest of this week, watch me go!
