Hahaha thanks Brawny!!
Physio went ok, I was pretty sore already when I went in and then he spent 20mins torturing me mostly with his elbows in my butt. I now have 6 exercises to do at home and 4 stretches, takes like 20mins to get through and I have to do it twice a day. I'm going to have buns of steel when I get home!!!! Haha but really... He says my glutes are really tight and my glute medius is weak, so my hips externally rotate and my knees point in, causing my feet to hit the ground flat and over-pronate. So it's all cuz of my butt!!! Wicked. Did I tell you the physio wears a suit?? It's really weird, my session is pretty much all massage so he rolls up his sleeves and chucks his tie over his shoulder and gets into it. Haha thought that was funny?
Cruise yesterday was sooo nice, best day for it!! So warm and sunny. Here's some snaps:
It was a cruise on the canals, we saw some HUGE houses! There was one with it's own helicopter and helipad. Pic above is a picture of Surfer's Paradise (where we're staying!)
Draculas: OMG last night was possibly the best night EVER. Dracula's was amazing!!!!! We dressed up (and look, I didn't have to wear sneakers for once!! Physio is helping! Am still wearing my orthotics of course):
When we got there we were greeeted in the carpark by a heap of people dressed in costume and corsets. They were all pulling the piss out of everyone as we were lining up, and coming around talking to everyone. Got a couple pics with them!!
We weren't allowed to take photos anywhere in the building... But I'll tell you about it!!!
We had to ride a ghost train to get into the restaurant which was trippy as haha, lots of stuff falling on us and at the end someone jumped out of the wall and yelled at us so jumped a bit. (Later in the night before the main show they said there was an infrared camera that filmed that bit, so they played through everyone jumping... was SO funny!) In the restaurant (which looked SO AMAZING by the way!!!) there was an amazing band playing- they do all the music for the show too. Lots of random songs they've made evil-jazzy if that makes sense? LIke everything was off the Adams Family lol. We ate first, I skipped the entree, had 2 glasses of wine... ate the full main which was a chicken breast, broccolini and rice in mushroom sauce (YUM) and I also ate the whole dessert which was pretty small. It was a chocolate coffin with chocolate mousse inside it and a glob of cream. YUM! So yea, cheat day for this week!!!
The show itself was amazing- can't tell you how awesome the music was!!!! The host and one of the main singers came out a few times and did some stand up which was awesome, there was heaps of random songs, a heap of acrobatics... haha at the end there was a puppet show where they sang Bohemian Rhapsody as Queen which was SO AWESOME!!! Oh and they had this bit at the end where the cast played there favourite theme song or sci fi song... The lead guitarist came out and did a crazy metal version of the Doctor Who theme song which was so cool, and they finished with the Time Warp.
Can't get over how crazy the whole experience was, even the waitstaff were fully costumed and keeping everyone entertained all night. Our waitress was called Mistress and she kissed my hand when she seated us, haha! And there was a waitress walking around with a big realistic (but plastic) chainsaw. They kept grabbing my hair when they walked passed too, haha and one of the waiters (dressed as Frankenstein) came up to me during a song and whispered in my ear... But all he was saying was 'Ok, laugh like I said something funny, now nod and say yes like we are having a conversation, now shake your haid and say no, no no no, now look over there and pretend you're angry'... After he left I was like WTF? Haha it was like full crazy fun all night.
Truly best night ever!!
