Put DOWN the Nutella!

Morning all! Thought I would post now as Wade is having a sleep in and I have nothing else to do lol. So purchased a couple of internet hours.

Arrghhghghghgh my phone charger is being really temperamental.... Think we are going to have to go out and buy a new one today. We have been using my phone as navigation for the whole trip so it's been dying every day... now it's completely flat and won't turn on. Oops!!! Wanted to go to tropical fruit world this morning too but unsure if that'll work without nav, it's half an hour away!!

Went and watched Ruby Sparks last night which was cute... except we had a crazy woman sitting right behind us which took away from it a fair bit! She kept laughing at every scene change, and talking to herself and yelling random stuff at the movie. Grr. Going back on Fri to watch Looper in Gold Class! Yay, I love the movies!!

Ahh so wish my phone wasn't dead, my husband took one of my cats to the vet to get groomed yesterday... she had several large knots. Well the vet there doesn't do grooming, so he had to beg them and they said they could knock her out and shave her. OMG. She has a big bushy tail, a big round head, furry boots... and not much else. Me and Wade were wetting ourselves looking at the pics he was sending!! Aww poor thing, the other cats are hissing at her n stuff now too. Haha they don't recognise her!!!

Anyhoo... having a chilled one today. Going to find me a new phone charger, then maybe try to go to fruit world... Then maybe go sit at the beach. Early dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe tonight so that'll be fun!!

Food plan for tomorrow

B- 2 eggs on 1 slice wheat free bread with avocado

S- Banana, 40g mixed nuts

L- Tuna and salad on mountain bread

S- Celery and carrot sticks in cream cheese

D- Chicken and veg stir fry with 1/2 cup rice

Exercise- PT session tomorrow

Had an amazing day today!! Went for a big drive into the mountains to check out tropical fruit world... Bought a GIANT avocado!! As compared to a pepsi can... (wade's, not mine!) I weighed it, was 800g!!!! That's almost 2lbs!

Also bought a black sapote for morning tea tomorrow instead of a banana. It's supposed to taste like chocolate!

Then we came back and had lunch, and went down to a cafe by the beach and sat there for ages. Was such a beautiful afternoon!!

Off to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner soon, YAY! Been eyeing the menu, pretty sure I'll be getting Greek salad with shrimp. Nom nom nom!

Look at you, you skinny little thing! Man, that's definitely something to keep in mind.. I was 'afk' from this site for a month or two, come back and there's big changes everywhere! It's awesome to see - I guess when you're checking in every day you don't really notice so much, same as when you look at yourself in the mirror every day.. but when there's an OBVIOUS difference, you really see it! Congratulations!

Also, uh, what is a 'black sapote'? Forgive my ignorance! From the sounds of it though, it didn't particularly taste like chocolate? :D

Sarah!!!!! Yay, welcome back!!!! And congratulations on your engagement, that's AWESOME!!!

Just got back from Hard Rock Cafe, had Greek salad, a bowl of shrimp, a glass of wine and a coffee. So my cheat meal for the week!!! Omg was so good!!! Little piccy of me... (haha, are you all sick of pics yet!? I figure in a few months when I'm at my goal weight they'd be fun to look back on!)

Love the pics, keep them coming...at least somebody is on vacation.

I would post a pick of what I did yesterday but the image of me all filthy from yard work trying to fix my busted riding lawn mower would be far less appealing than your cool pics.

Glad you had fun at fruit world. Whats tomorrow veggie land? Ha Ha Sorry for being smart alec on your thread

Love the pics....probably as close to australia as I will get lol.....you are looking like you are having a great time and you are also doing great at following your food plan on vaccation.....wow

I am shure you will get to your goal in no time!!!

PT was extra hard this morning!! OMG! Got home and made lunch and cleaned up a bit... Going out for coffee soon then off to get my MRI. Having a quiet afternoon. Off to Movie World tomorrow! Because I can't walk for long, I've told my husband I'll go to the Warner Bros store and get him heaps of Dark Knight Rises t-shirts and I'll try to get pics with as many of the Justice League superheroes I can find. Haha my mission for tomorrow!!

Food For Tomorrow

B- 1/3 cup oats, strawberries, lsa, cinnamon

S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1tsp nut butter

L- Mountain bread wrap with fresh grilled chicken breast and salad

S- 200g yogurt, cinnamon, 20g almonds

D- Grilled marinated chicken breast with corn on the cob, asparagus and green beans

Posting quickly... went to Movie World for an hour which was about all I could manage... couldn't find all the superheroes we wanted pics with, but got a couple!

Food plan for tomorrow!

B- 2 eggs, 1 piece wheat free bread and 1/3 avocado
S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1 tsp nut butter

L- Chicken and salad wrap

S- 200g yogurt, 20g almonds
D- Going to have dinner at the movies tomorrow night, watching Looper in Gold Class!

Exercise tomorrow is PT session.

ADidn't really enjoy our pt session today, the guy was pretty disorganised and there were big gaps where we were standing around doing nothing. Was pretty repetitive too! O well, the only session so far I wasn't impressed with so all good. Our next two sessions are with people that hell smash us so happy with that! Getting my MRI read to me this arvo in physio so will know if my knee is screwed. Yay.

Food plan for tomorrow

B- oats with strawberries, coconut and chia seeds
S- 2 hard boiled eggs
L- tuna and salad wrap
S- 2 crackers with 1/3 avocado
D- piece of grilled fish with cooked veg and rice stir fry

No exercise planned

AVerdict from the MRI is calf sprain! No knee damage at all. So no new problems beside the usual, yay! He reckons my patellofemoral syndrome will get better with strengthening too. So hopefully in the next few months I can tackle this!

I am very happy for you that there no extra knee damage!!! :) I wonder how much a PT would cost around here.....finding the time to get to those appointment is another issue lol! Good Job Lucy!

Yea I'm really glad too! He did acupunture on it though and last night a few hours later I was in SO much pain!! I could hardly put my foot down! And by the time we got to the movies and sat down the side of that knee had megaly blown up. It went down during the movie (we were in Gold Class so in a reclining chair extended out) but was throbbing and hurting the whole time. It feels a lot better today, but going to have a serious rest day. Just chillng in our apartment and watching movies I think! Pt over here in Aus is between $30-$50 for most places for half an hour I think. I've always felt it was worth it as you get results so fast! Even if I know what I'm doing normally someone else usually pushes me so much harder. Oh, and most places don't charge extra if you bring a friend along to a session like I do with Wade at the moment so you can go halves in the cost. I used to do that when I was back home with a lady from my gym group too!

So I decided I would share food porn pics with you today instead of the usual holiday pics. I've been fully loving the mountain bread pizzas every day and took a photo of yesterdays:

So above pizza is a mountain bread, folded in half. On the bottom is a 40g extra light Philadelphia cream cheese, then I chopped a tomato and spread it over, 2 big handfuls of spinach (it flattens out heaps when you cook it), chicken I marinated in garlic and tamari, and a sprinkle of parmesan over the top. OMG. NOM. Usually with chicken I'll buy a 500g packet of breasts (or just over)- I have to weigh my meat out at the moment, so that works out to be 2 lunches (120g each) and 2 dinners (140g each). So I cut a good chunk off each breast for dinner in a nice looking fillet, and then the leftovers I dice up and put in wraps or on pizzas. I'm pretty limited as to what we have here on holiday, but garlic and tamari with salt n pepper was AMAZING!

Also if you're interested, the exact stats of the above pizza: 306cals, 8g fat, 21g carb, 3g fiber, 35g protein.

Ok, so after training yesterday and my little pizza feast we went out for coffee... haaha but I decided to be a bit good and had green tea instead. Took this pic for facebook actually because we seem to go out for coffee several times a day- just wanted to prove I don't just drink coffee!!! Haha actually yesterday I ended up having 2 coffees and 2 green teas (which is my limit for both in my nutrition plan)

And lastly... DINNER! We went to Fasta Pasta because it was right next to the cinema and I could hardly walk, even on crutches. So I went in thinking, arrgh, what the hell am I going to eat! But instead of a fast food type pasta joint, it was actually a proper Italian Restaurant (I was surprised, these places are everywhere!) So... This was dinner!!

Mine of course is the fish and salad (already taken a chunk out of it, it didn't get served to me looking like that lol) This is how annoying I am at restaurants now. "Hi, can I please get the barramundi, without chips, with extra salad, can I also please have the dressing on the side? Oh, and no sauce or anything on my fish- that's grilled yea? Thanks!" Haha, go me! Wade had a cheesy garlic bread thing that came looking like a pizza and calamari and chips. Was really good! After dinner we went to the cinema and sat in the Gold Lounge... I had a cup of coffee while we waited for the cinema to open. So yea, yesterday was pretty chilled out!

Oh, might as well post food plan for tomorrow while I'm here!

Food for tomorrow:

B- 2 eggs, 1/3 avocado, 1 piece wheat free toast

S- Apple, 40g mixed raw nuts

L- Tuna and bean nachoes- Tin of tuna and beans mixed with cooked tomato, onion and capsicum, served on a mountain bread crisped into chips

S- 1 carrot and 2 celery sticks served with 40g hummus

D- Piece of grilled salmon (cooked by mwa) with an Asian cabbage stir fry, served with a 1/2 cup brown rice. Will be seasoning with garlic and tamari (wheat free soy sauce)

No exercise tomorrow, pretty sure it'll be a bit of a rest day as well. My knee hurts on my calf-sprained leg!

I ended up being really bad yesterday. Was in a fair amount of pain still and pretty much spent the whole day in bed watching movies. Wade went out in the afternoon till late at night (he's seeing someone over here) and I was feeling pretty lonely and sorry for myself... miss my husband heaps. Anyway ended up badly- ate heaps of crackers and cheese, a handful of shapes, a heap of crackers with nutella (damn you Wade for buying it!) And then had a really upset stomach most of the night (argh wheat, I hate you!) Feeling much better today, had a nice morning. Went out for coffee (Wade had brekki) and hung out there for a few hours. Haha I had two cups of coffee n we had a really long chat about moving here next year, we are so excited!! So yea, I'm out of my funk already and having a much lighter day (though still sticking to the diet guidelines... just not having any of the extras I'm allowed today) So yea. Chilling out the rest of the day I think!!

Tomorrow we have PT in the morning, I have physio in the afternoon (different physio though as the guy I've been seeing is now on holidays... which means it'll be a 40min session as I need to have another consultation before treatment) then we are trying to find a restaurant to go out for dinner. It's coming in to our last few days here, NOOOO!!!!! We fly to Perth on Wed night, then have to stay until our flight home Thu morning. So not much time left here at all!!!

Food plan for tomorrow

Also went to Coolangatta beach which was amazing!

You can see the city in the distace on the right! Was amazing!!! Had lunch on the beach at Nando's as it was a pretty big drive down there. Can't believe we are leaving tomorrow!

Have a safe trip home Lucy.

At least when you get back home you can resume your healthy routines. You did well while on holiday. Turn your dislike for the town into determination and motivation for self improvement.
