wearing the pedometer gets to be a real habit. Sometimes I'm amazed by the counts. I'll be really tired & then I see the steps I have taken all day & realize.. oh that's why!

had volleyball game last night and we won. We have won all but 1 of our games so far. 1 more game until our championship starts. Yeah!

Subbed today for 8th math. those brats. hehehe I love most of my kids. =)
 
Well, I just had an epiphany or so I think.

I'm wondering why every time my life gets so very busy, then I want to try harder to lose weight or exercise more etc. I had my first day of my summer classes today, and there is so much work for these classes, that I have no idea if I'm going to be able to get through them with what I have on my plate already. I'm really going to try hard to get up earlier in the mornings and work out so that I can get in additional activity beyond volleyball and walking around campus. Although I'm not sure if I can get myself out of bed earlier every morning. That seems to be the biggest challenge for me--crawling out of bed that is. I must start to do it for my health though!!!

My classes this semester are Creative Writing and African Literature (focusing on Disability and Sacrifice) so they do seem interesting.

I have a lot of written work, and a lot of oral work including an hour long presentation with 3 other students. I can't believe we have to do a presentation for that length of time. WOWsers! Ok, I gotta get back to my course work. Just thought I'd type in and let you guys know I'm still here.

Mine would probably be better if i get off the dang computer and went to work out.

holy cow. Almost 1.5 months and no posts by me :eek2:

So here's the not so skinny. I thought I was messing myself up by spending so much time on the forum, and with school etc, I was so busy that I didn't think I was eating that much. Well, I was wrong!!!!!! BAD BAD Wrong. So here I am going to post here more and hope to stay on track.

Saturday I did about 6 hours of yard work, and was super sore from all the pruning and mowing and weed eating and planting etc. Sunday rode bike for 7 miles and now my butt hurts and made my legs hurt more. Today just walked 2 miles during the majority of my lunch break, and plan to do more later after work! (oh and I got blisters from walking in flip flops on the bottoms of both feet today).

Breakfast- Oatmeal-320 cals
Snack: Fiber One Bar 140 cals
Lunch: Subway sub- turkey/ham on wheat american cheese- lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, pickle, oregano, s&p, vinegar 370 cals
Snack: Fiber One Bar 140 cals
Dinner: 1 turkey hot dog sliced in half on healthywhite bread topped with some chili mustard and ketchup and another slice of bread. 300 cals

Calories:1270
Water: 84.5 oz

Fantastic to have you back! I just mentioned you a few days ago in a list of forum people that I miss. haha
 
So, I was planning to come home and get on the treadmill etc, but I have 5-6 blisters on the bottoms of both feet. :( Not so happy about that! I did try to puncture them and applied a blister band aid, but I'm not sure how long it'll take for them to heal.
 
Nasty! That's a lot of blisters. :( I'm sorry about your poor feet. Definitely do not try to use the treadmills until they heal.
 
july 3

So, I came into work today, and brought my tennies and socks. Went out today and only went around once- about a mile. I'll have to do more when I go home. --my blisters are only slightly burning. :(

Breakfast:
Oatmeal 320 cals

Lunch:
Subway sammich- (I really need to do some grocery shopping) Same as yesterday but I accidentally said a little oil instead of vinegar, so I got oil and vinegar. I like it, but it has more calories. . probably 405 cals due to the oil.
I also waited too long to eat and am all jittery.

Snack: Fiber One Bar 140
Snack: Smoothie 260


Totals:
Calories: 1125
Water: 85 oz
Coffee: 2 cups
Exercise: 2.25 miles 1 mile outside during lunch. 1.25 miles at home on treadmill.

Hey! Just wanted to stop by and say...well "hey" LOL. I'm glad to see you posting again and hope your footsies feel better soon...I know what you mean about thinking you're eating less than you are when you don't keep written track of it...something about knowing you are going to be writing your food down makes you a little more aware of the hand to mouth action through the day. Have a great 4th.

Hmmm. Today feels like Saturday, but it's Wednesday July 4

Breakfast:
Oatmeal 320 cals
Lunch: Fiber One Bar 140 Cals
Dinner: 3 slices of pepperoni pizza from pizza hut

So, I was bad--I had pizza tonight for dinner. But I spent 4 hours working on my deck today--applying cleaner and scrubbing areas with broom and with a sponge. Hopefully I burned some calories with that. It's not finished. I still have to do the underside of the deck, and do the steps before it's ready to be stained. Just couldn't finish it all today.

Thursday July 5

Today has been pretty um, boring I guess. Nothing really has happened. I went to the library to return a book, picked up some more deck cleaner at Lowes Hardware, and did some grocery shopping.

Breakfast:
Oatmeal
V8 Splash Berry Blend 8 oz 70 cals
Lunch
Fiber One Bar

Snack
7 wheat thin crackers
1 slice 2% cheese

Dinner
1.2 slices of left over pizza

Have only had one bottle of water today, so that's bad, and I have had a soda or two. =(

Will go drink some water now.
 
Friday July 6

Breakfast:
Oatmeal 320
OJ 1/2 Cup 60
turkey bacon slice 35

Lunch
Fiber One Bar 140 cals

Dinner
CHicken BBQ on whole wheat bun
1 ff pudding cup w/ff cool whip
1 banana
10 wheat thin crackers and 1 slice 2% cheese

I made hubby Bacon Egg and Cheese biscuit this morning, and I only had a single slice of bacon. I had already made my oatmeal, so I ate that instead of the biscuit too. Now I'm going back out to finish cleaning the deck so that I can hopefully start to stain if on Sunday/Monday! YEAH!!!!!!

So I spent about 4 hours working on the deck today. It's all ready to be stained once it's dry enough! I am so glad that the weather has cooperated with me thus far! I just hope that hubby doesn't insist on the damn thing being sanded too, because I sanded it by hand one year after I cleaned the top, and hubby wouldn't apply the stain because I didn't clean the bottom. Sooooo--we'll see.
