Photocrazed - Journey to a Healthy lifestyle

I haven't done any strength training since Saturday. I know I must add this in, but my muscles are so sore. ..

I think I'll go ask Steve..

That workout sounded amazing. No wonder you're sore! Have you been doing lots of stretching? I was sore for a day or two this week, but I just kept doing lots of stretching and it went away.

I have been trying to stretch everyday. That is one of my goals - to increase flexibility.

I'm not as sore today, but I only played volleyball last night for about an hour, but it was really hot out too.

I am going to try for weight training today and Sunday, and then see about next week too.

Hey there!
Haven't been in here, no excuses, but I wish you the best!

From my experience, and it could be genes, but I noticed that when I weight train, I get more flexible (weird, huh?) and I can run better and I look better and lose weight easier. I have started yoga again (used to do it a lot a few years back) and I realized that I haven't lost much flexibility.

Even though I'm not at my goal weight and have been struggling to get there for MONTHS, I can only suggest this: full body plan. Weights. Cardio. Yoga/pilates. All combined. It takes a lot of time out of your day but it's worth it!! I hope you can get to weights soon. Trust me, it does wonders to keep your body composition better (more muscle to fat).

Have a great weekend!

Thanks, Val!

I really appreciate your response! I hope you are doing well!

I am going to hit the weights today, actually in a few minutes.

I was amazed when I looked at the list too Cerella. I couldn't belive I had actually done that much work. I just need to keep it up. :)

I hope you are doing well! I'll try to get to some diaries asap. School is really kicking my ass these days.

Reunion this weekend and my eating has been less than stellar. I'll have to work my behind off next week since Friday and today are travel days. I have so much homework too. :sigh:

I did get out with the kids yesterday and played some kickball and baseball. So I got in some activity about an hour or so. hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying on track.
