Photocrazed - Journey to a Healthy lifestyle

Well, today, I subbed for Chorus at the middle school. I had to be at school at 7:35 so I was up much earlier than usual. I got to school and one of the female students made a very rude comment to me, "Whatchoo doin strollin all up in here lookin pregnant" (spelling to show her pronunciation) I was flabbergasted. I honestly should have come back with, "well, if I look pregnant, you're due 5 months sooner than me!" Just so I could watch her jaw drop. I mean, I know I'm not thin, but damn, I don't look anywhere near pregnant! (I could probably put 2 of me in her) Jeesh! If that doesn't motivate me to get my ass on the treadmill, I don't know what will!

I thought class registration began today, but it doesn't--not for me. even though I'm working on the credits required to be a Senior, I'm not.. so I'll be registering on Wednesday! I hope all the classes don't get taken!
Breakfast
Yoplait Nouriche SuperSmoothie

Snack
1/2 Banana - dropped the top 1/2 on the floor :(

Lunch
Turkey Wrap
1tbsp light ranch
mixed greens.

Oh good grief! When I read that comment my first thought was "I would have biotch slapped some manners in her mouth" -- guess that's why I don't work with teenagers:) . Who knows the motivation behind such a comment, but please don't let it affect your day or make you feel bad in any way.

Wow! What a rude little &%*$# - I hope you put her in her place even if you didn't say what you really thought :) Just vent your anger on the treadmill like you said :) Hope your rest of the day is better than that! Kids can be really mean.

*wondering to myself if that is some kind of slang* regardless, I can't believe that a kid would talk like to an adult....
*shaking my head*

damn shame you're not in a catholic school - she would have gotten her rear kicked from one end of school to the other what a little snot - one more reason i don't lke children :D

Well, I think maybe talking about and making fun of others is the way she can make herself feel better. It seems she has gained a lot of weight over the last year, but also, I don't put up with her b/s. Some of the kids try to treat me like their friends, but it's not happening! I'll be respectful and have fun in the classroom, but I'll not let them walk all over and disrespect me, and it seems she is one who doesn't like me for that reason.

I honestly didn't let it ruin my day, and am only slightly peeved about it, but it made me think about what I'm doing, and what I need to be doing.

Which brings me to question... I previously was doing HIIT 2 days per week and my weight training. Should I be doing more cardio? I feel like I'm not putting in enough effort! Also, should I change to full body weights instead of 3 exercises per session?

Personally, I find cardio to be the best kind of workout. So I would recommend lots of cardio. But I don't really know a lot about HIIT, so I can't really make an educated comparison between HIIT and a good ol' fashioned cardio workout.
I would venture to say that you really can't go wrong with lots of cardio though.

Hi PC...I guess I didn't realize you were in school...silly me :)

Yea, kids can be REALLY rude sometimes! my 8 yr old daughter told me that some boy walking by our house called her a lesbian!!! oOOOOO let me tell you, I"m gonna have words w/ that boy today!

Glad you didnt' let it get to you...some kids (and lets face it, adults) have self esteem issues and thats how they deal with it.

Sorry I can't answere your question about HIIT, don't know a thing about it, lol..but i'm a big fan of cardio!! I always feel great afterwards :)

Heres to a great tuesday!!

HAHAHAH I'm such a doofus! I locked myself out of the house. I had to call hubby at work and have him come home and let me back in. .. he works 45 mins away.. he'll spend the rest of the day from home now.

So, I'm missing my first class. I guess I'll go to the 2nd one though, I have an exam that will be handed out on Thursday anyway.. so I need to be there today!

That sucks! lol I've done that before. It's soooo frustrating. once, my roommate locked herself out and she could look in through the window and see her keys sitting right there on the counter by the door. Hahaha. That must have been painful.

I decided to stay home. NO class for me today! Although I have been doing many other things.. so.. oh well!

You and hubby are "working" from home today are you?
I find yardwork is one of the best workouts. You tend to use muscles that you have forgotten about.
Have a good one.

Hey, thanks for setting me straight about the school deal...lol, too funny! I didnt' think you were that young :)
