Photocrazed - Journey to a Healthy lifestyle

My sister is 22 and has a 6 month old baby, when I found out she was pregnant my thoughts were similiar to yours. Scared for her, happy, but yet a little disappointed that my baby sister was having a baby.. before me.. It will all work out and you will be an aunt.. again ? 13 ? wow :)

heh large families are great!
you can argue with one side and still go visit the other :D

I got pregnant at 17 and had my first son just after my 18th birthday. I grew up real fast, felt i was trapped for a part of it also.

I think if i had had family that could have helped i would have been a lot better off - but my brothers knew nothing about babies, my sister is handicapped, and my parents were in the throws of divorce at the time.
Now im older im glad that i got it over with young though, so now my oldest is 15 i get to do the teenage stuff i missed out on with him lol.

Probably better to not have kids at such a young age, ive most definatly told my kids not to until they are over 25 at least.

17! wow ... thats like me having a baby now...
i'm so not mature enough and wont be for like the next 10 years haha
congrats on the prospective new member of your family :)

Well, I just had to go and weigh myself this morning, and the battle of the scale continues. It jumped up 1.6 lbs overnight! I did eat a little salt yesterday on my tater tots, so maybe it's water retention or something. I'm not too worried about it. I'll just keep on a truckin'.

I know how you feel about the baby thing. Although, it's just me and my younger sister (she's 2 years younger) and she got married 3 days after she turned 18 and had her first baby a month and a half before she turned 19. Then got divorced, and had her 2nd child (thanks to a one night stand) 2 days after she turned 22. Now she's remarried (for the 3rd time) and between the two of them they have 3 kids, all under 10. Um...how do you figure to support them ALL and yourselves???

I never was worried about the fact that she had them first - I don't want any of my own, but it did kinda bug me that she was married first. And again. And AGAIN. LOL. Especially since the man I call my "hubby" isn't technically. We're not legally married, but we might as well be. However, we've been together (shoot, we've been living together!) longer than all 3 of her marriages combined have lasted so far.

Congrats on the big family! My mom is the oldest of 8.

My husband and I have been married for about 6 years 4 months, but before then we were together for about 4 years. So we have been together a while; and I know that if we had already had kids that we probably wouldn't be married today. So, I am really glad that we have waited!

I have a question for everyone.

I am starting to get cramping in the arch of my feet when on the treadmill jogging and running. Has anyone else had this problem or know the cause? Am I pushing myself too much? I think it also occurs when I am walking on an incline. .. Is it just that my feet aren't used to doing this type of work?

Maybe its your shoes, and you need better support doing all that work :)

Don't be discouraged about that weight gain, your working out harder so you will gain a bit but its all muscle :)

Happy Valentines Day!

Hi lady :) How are you today? Just swinging by to say hey and hope you are having a good week and had a great Valentine's Day :)

Have a good Friday and enjoy your weekend! -Sprite

THanks Sprite! You too!
How's it going?

Well, for yesterday's weigh in I was 159.6 I think and today the scale says 158.2 . I think it's a conspiracy. ALthough, I was pretty sure the scale wasn't going to be good Thursday morning after my Wednesday night dinner. :D

Hi Photocrazed! I love your new avatar!

Thanks.

In addition to not eating as healthy as I would have liked, I haven't exercised the last 2 days. I feel like such a slacker!! I gotta get back on the treadmill today and do my strength training routine. I really wanted to be down to at least 153 by March 1, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Maybe I should start keeping the calories on the lower range of 1300 vs the higher 1500's, but I don't know even if that'll help.

On a good note, my hubby says my butt is getting smaller. I wonder though if he says that out of niceness because he see's me working so hard and the scale not really going down or what. He also thinks I'm a little too obsessive about the WLF and counting calories etc. Oh well! If I have to be obsessive about something.. I'd rather it be this than something else!

I was having such a hard time keeping the calories up, I've just gone back to focusing on the WW points. I'm thinking that once I get to my goal, I will slowly work out the WW plan and move into watching calories, sticking with the maintenance amount. WW seems to be working for me, and once I began counting calories I just started stressing about not eating enough. I think that is why I had such a bad week - too much to think about, too much stress.

Anyhow, have a great weekend.
