Thanks everyone I don’t feel particularly worse so I will keep dosing myself and lots of fluids . Will take it as easy as I can . Hard week though but I can cut back on Monday priority stuff a bit .
 
Hey Petal, I sure hope your cold passes quickly, I hate colds, and mine never pass quickly enough. Can you stay home from work?

No I can’t stay home but I went late today . Just having a quick break and I will leave about 4pm. I work short hours during term time and can suit myself at least but I have stuff I need to do most days unless I plan leave .
I actually don’t feel as bad now so fingers crossed it won’t develop.

I really feel like my weight is stuck . I weighed this morning and nothing changes. I need a good 1.5 to 2 lb loss to both get me into 12 stones and also hit my 2 stone loss . I feel like I’m stuck here now for last 4 weeks or so . Getting fed up but I am not giving up . I was doing good this week except for silly cold .
 
Silly colds can make enough of a difference. Or maybe it was something else. As long as you know you´re treating your body well and making healthy choices you´re doing the right thing no matter what the scale says.

That's really galling, that the scales are sticking - I'm totally agreeing with LaMa though, that:
a) it could easily be the cold, messing about with your hydration or something. Your throat etc could be feeling dry (if it's anything like mine) but maybe you're retaining that fluid that ought to be in your throat elsewhere in your system , and
b) and if you hold on to "treating your body well", then it doesn't matter what the scales (deceptive beasts!) say, you are heading in the right direction (and your body will thank you for it).

You know better than to let a plateau bother you! As Amy says so long as you are treating your body well the scales don't matter. You know that is true. Stick to this and you'll lose the weight, guaranteed, it just now guaranteed when. You have done very well keep it up!

I know advice like this is easier given than taken, I was down last week about my slowed weight loss, and feel better now that its picked up again. Even though I know intellectually that doesn't make sense. And that I have often given the advice I just gave you. That doesn't make the advice wrong, just hard to listen to sometimes.
 
Hi Petal, sorry you are fighting off something. I agree to take care of yourself and not worry about the weight while you need to get your strength back up. Sending hugs and a nice pot of tea!
 
Thanks you guys . You are all super . I’m off to officially weigh in soon . I’m going to come home though and have a good proper dinner because I feel hungry and bit shaky . I ate lunch but it didn’t fill me . I am going to make a pot of nice soup to help ward off the pangs now for the winter and hope it doesn’t give heartburn . I can have it with my lunches . I wonder that maybe I’m not eating enough lunch . It’s my hardest meal of the day as I can be anywhere and it’s not a routine time .
 
Hi Petal, sorry to see you've not been feeling well. Hope the weigh in is successful. I struggle with lunch too - I seem to not eat enough or end up grazing.. Hope you feel better soon! Hana
 
Hi sunflower . Love your name . I have made lots of soup now to bulk up my lunch and I’m going to fill up on all the food I’m allowed . Officially I maintained so same as my own scales . It is what it is . Head down now and keep going .
 
Maintaining is SO much better than gaining. I'm trying to tell myself the same. Bulking up your food with soup is an excellent idea. I must get some out of the freezer. Head down......xoxo

Joining you in this for the rest of the week! And I'll be joining in the soup too - I still have a chunk of pumpkin left, and it can go in along with other veg, plus the tail-end of a packet of red lentils ... mixed vegie soup coming up!
 
I'll join in on making soup and head down, too! I have a big pumpkin on the counter, so will copy you Amy (hopefully minus the splattering incident!)

Cate you answered my question can I freeze soup . Do you freeze in portions .

Amy and Marsia pumpkin soup sounds good. I made mine with butternut squash, carrot, onion , celery , garlic . It looks good.
