Petals diary

Hey Petal, I like your target, you can do it. And it is "little" when compared with what you have already done.

You need get out of that 170 club! One day I hope to be there, you need to move on and make room! Probably best you get out long before I show up.

Thank you everyone for the motivation and the encouragement. Haha Rob I better get my ass in gear because I think you will be coming kicking through that door soon.
I'm okay Em ,trying to stay calm . LaMa good luck with the 150s . I should be in the 160s I know by now but fingers crossed .
Amy well done on still squeaking in the 160s . Yes Cate listening to news once a day is great . I'll type more later and check your diaries then. Lots happening with getting ready to work from home but I still have to fave the office today . Not sure on tomorrow yet. It's very eerie there .

It must be so weird to work in an almost empty office! I´ve been the only one at work on occasion and eerie is the right word even though I have my patients with me!

For now I am still in the office but in isolation. We are also following the 1 to 2 metre protocol. I don't want to make this all about the virus but it's hot topic really. I am nervous, not so much about getting the virus I would hope I wouldn't be too badly affected but I now know people having tests. Or waiting to have tests . Daughters friend in bed last 4 days , someone at work his wife is isolating at home waiting and now he is home too . Thankfully keeping away. We do not have enough ICU beds in the country or ventilators . The surge began here yesterday that's where the numbers start to soar.
I have never really been too bothered with politicians but I love our guys who are walking us through this this. They shouldn't even be in government as they were voted out last month but they are still there and I am so so thankful it is them. They have shown true leadership and deserve an applause.

Food is fine I'm not going to worry too much would be great to lose this weight by May and achieve my goal in the 12 months to then. It's nice to have that to think about in addition to all else going on.

Great to hear something positive about politicians for a change. This is a real chance for them to consolidate their positions no matter what their status has been so far. I can think of a couple of folks I´d like that to not be true for...

I think they are doing a great job. I like Leo Varadkar anyway so I am happy that he is at the helm as opposed to Mary Lou McDonald. Also, the fact that he is a doctor is a good thing for this crisis, in my opinion. At the very least, his understanding of viruses and how they spread must be useful when they are trying to put a crisis plan together.

I was in the office today as well but that is probably the end of it. Shops and roads were a lot busier today, I think people are beginning to relax a little bit, which is probably not ideal. I drive on a normally isolated country road to get home, a huge number of people out walking.

I've decided to stop thinking and talking about the whole thing from tomorrow on unless I get it or someone close to me does. I had to switch off the radio in the car today, need a break.

A pic of the sky tonight and a friend pointed out to zoom in on the tree . It’s so pretty

That is a beautiful photo, Petal. I must add more to my diary when I work out what size I have to change them to as I have forgotten. I think focussing on the positive will be even more important than normal. :grouphug:

Hey Petal, thought about your 1 to 2 meter protocol today at the gym. Its a good idea.
Food is fine I'm not going to worry too much would be great to lose this weight by May and achieve my goal in the 12 months to then. It's nice to have that to think about in addition to all else going on.
Good for you, hopefully you are doing some thinking about it instead of rather than in addition to!

Nice picture.

Good morning everyone.
Cate I posted that as medium but mostly my photos don't load. I will try add more too from my walks without trying to give away my location.
Em I agree I am desperately needing a break from it. My husband is making it very hard , he just wants to focus on the economy the recession and I actually am getting annoyed with him and not wanting to be anywhere near him . I have asked him to stop but .......
yep even my rural road is busier with walkers but so long as we keep away from each other that's ok. It's the places we usually go with dog that I find hard now as we can't relax . Will go super early now instead .
Lots planned today but of course I won't get to it all . Includes cleaning , decluttering , going to the dump ( tip , not sure what you all call it ), laundry, shopping, walk . Yep not a hope to get all done.
I better go make a start on some of it !

Sounds like a very productive day ahead. I might wait to do my cleaning tomorrow, feeling lazy today.

Regarding hubby - if he persists in talking about it, you just need to leave the room until he gets the message. Maybe indulge him for 10 minutes a day and then say, 'Enough!' Easier said than done, I know. :)

I have had a chat with him since and I think he might be better from now . Have divided and conquered some chores here . He now has a car issue to deal with so that will keep him busy . Not good though as we don’t need car issues but it’s due a service Monday anyway and it’s under warranty too .

made some nut bars , have car loaded for the dump , laundry on . He did the shopping at the butchers and the market so I won’t bother as we have plenty . I can go during the week and can pick up milk locally .

cold here today . Going to wrap up soon and do that walk !

Glad you worked it out with your husband, Petal. I learned a long time ago that my wife doesn't like to hear too much about politics, the economy, work, etc. but sometimes I can distract her by joking around a little. E.g. I joke around that now that stocks have gotten so low, I'd best sell now before it's too late (no chance of that, lol).

Glad you had the talk with your husband, Petal. There will be lots of talks & lots of arguments in lots of households across the world as people are confined together in their homes more & more. We have to all try to get through this as best we can. I hope your walk was refreshing. I must get outside very soon!
