Ugh, telemarketing... well let me tell you one thing - don't take a SINGLE thing anyone says to you personally. I have a phone job as well, where people call ME, and they can be belligerent as all get-out. You just have to let it go. I'm sure that a lot of people are completely rational and civil to telemarketers, but some people seem to think it's okay to treat a person just doing their job like they are less than a human.

But like you said, a job is a job, especially if it pays you well.
 
The one good thing about this telemarketing job is that it's not cold calls - they've signed up for it. And too, the company doesn't want you on there long, supposedly you get bonuses for short call totals.

But gah - I'm still dreading it.

So I stepped on the scale this morning...
up to 279 from 277 on Monday. Expected.
Maybe if I drink a ton of water today it will flush it all out. Meh.

Not too perky today. Maybe I'll just go back to bed. :p

hey, great job on your work...wish i could work at home sometimes!!

plus....your excersizes look awesome- i was thinkin about switchin up my workout with a bit of weight training and your plan looks great
 
hay amy great for the job! i'm sure you'll be excellent at it. just have faith in yourself. the first few times you'll a bit nervous but it will pass soon. my job requires lots of calling, and i was dreading it at first...and after first two i saw i was a natural lol.

Congrats on the job. Money is money. I agree with Beagle. Don't take things personally. My job is a lot of phoning and receiving phone calls. Your bound to get yelled at, no matter what service your are providing - even from current clients!

Instead, I did some weights and got out of the house. Hmm.. I was on the run most of the day but all in all it was pretty dull. Got Giggle's Valentines Day gift. Nothing mushy - I just don't get into the scented hearts and Hallmark cards. But I will bow down to tradition and acknowledge the day. I'd love to tell you what I got him but he may be lurking and I don't want to spill the beans. I think he'll appreciate the thought behind it, very few people in my life would.

ok - so weigh in day...
Last Week: 277 (going by the doctor's scale)
This week: 279

That's +2lb. Now, I'm very happy to see this number. Why you ask? Well, last week I was not eating right... at ALL. Not nearly enough and definitely not the right things. Last weeks -7lb (282 down to 275) was beyond excessive and I knew there was going to be a gain this week. There was just no way around it because I was essentially starving myself. Not on purpose, just when I'm with Giggles food is the last thing on my mind. ;) And I spent the better part of a week at his house.

So in the big picture - it's a loss. And I am happy for that :D:D *happy dance*
