Howdy Amy,
Car egging yuck what a big mess on the paintjob!
Congrats on scale saying 278 thats an awesome weightloss! I
hear ya with the cold it is torture out there and my poor dog sits
at the front door looking out pitiful but It is way to cold out there.
I let him in the back yard but he scratches to come in because he is
spoiled and refuses to poop in the yard so I may have to walk a few
blocks :rolleyes: ! Hope ya have a nice day,Tammy

That sucked ass! I had water freezing to my fingers! The soap bubbles froze to the car before I could rinse them. :eek: And the lovely smell of old reconstituted egg. Mmmm! I'm just thankful that it was only 2 eggs and not something worse like mustard balloons, bodily fluids or the old favorite in this area... the bologna old whore - cut the word whore out of slices of bologna then stick it to someones car, the grease eats into the paint thus creating the word 'whore' into the paint job...

its getting warmer here now but last week was quite frosty
when i got in the shower all my skin went all gross cos of the shock of the hot water i guess
hope your paintwork is ok! (on the car) lolzzzzz

And sounds like a good weekend, though now I'm craving mexican food... mmmm tacos.

I will have to remember not to buy bologna for the family anymore. Something that eats paint off of a car shouldnt be edible!!!

I just found a weight jounral I started back in the summer of 2004, after the Xs mom tried to talk me in to getting gastric bypass surgery. The diet lasted exactly one week. By day 6 I had dropped the ball, gave myself a massive guilt trip, pigged out, then made myself sick and walked away from the diet thing.

This part makes me a little sad: I'm over 360lbs, 5' 6" and I wear a size 32 bottom, 28 top. I left the room feeling like an abomination. Every time I look in the mirror at my body, my fatness, I think, I am not proud. I want to loose this weight because society says I should because I know how risky it is to my health.

I want to go back and give that me a hug, she sounds so sad.
 
ahhhh, I want to hug you back then too! I'm glad you found a healthy way to lose and that you are in a better place now. Long time no read...again...I'm so bad! See ya around (maybe)...lol!
 
Aww, Amy. She does sound sad, but she's only sad because she had no clue as to what the future was going to bring, that this new Amy was going to come sweep her off her feet. *hugs*

EDIT: *goes back a page and reads* Congrats on the weight loss!! :D:D

It sounds to me like before you were trying to change the outside. Now, I think you've changed from the inside out. Its not only healthier, it lasts :). Keep it up!!

I can remember that time and no, it wasn't a very happy one. I think it's interesting to go back and read it though. I wish I would have kept more detailed journals when I was younger... Heck I wish I could keep up with a paper journal on a regular basis now, not just when I need to vent.

Anyway - I got nothin done today besides my exercise stuff. :eek: I mean I killed a whole day just surfing the net and washing egg and digging through computer disks for portfolio meterial. Sure that counts for something but jeezus... I need to find a jobby like Mr. Giggles. He gets to sit on the net all night, farting around with whatever he wants and get paids for it. :p *jealous*..lol.

I came in kind of low in calories today, nothing tasted good, nothing sounded good. I tossed out a whole bowl of soup because it tasted weird. :eek:

Food & Activity
Breakfast: bowl of instant oatmeal, 4oz container of yogurt, 1/2c. orange juice
Lunch: 4 fired shrimp, 1/4c. soup (maybe), 4 pieces of thin sliced roast beef lunch meat, 1 apple
Supper: 1 smoked sausage, 1/2c. rice made with sour cream & parmesan cheese, 1/4c. green beans
Snacks: 3/4c. special K with 1/2c. milk, 1 tiny piece of cake

Totals:
Calories (Goal 1720 - 2070): 1,696
Carbs (Goal 194 - 336): 226
Fat (Goal 38 - 80): 96
Protein (Goal 43 - 181): 54
Fiber (Goal 25 - 23): 14

Water (Goal 80 - 104oz): 80oz.
Exercise:
* One-arm Dumbbell Row: 40
* Dumbbell Chest Press: 60
* Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 40
* Dumbbell Biceps Curl: 60
* Dumbbell Triceps Curl: 40
* Crunches: 50

Hey Pepper, Yeah ya sounded sad, but was'nt it also the sad fat girl that got some straight up power and started this journey to get you where you are??? don't just give her a hug...............send her some flowers and a thank you card too, cuz she was a brave one to take that first step!!!! You have some greatness in ya kid!!!!! Keep it up girl!!!

big hug to the old you. and a big pat on the back to the new you, look how far you've come.

the old you reminds me of an exercise a marriage counselor had us do recently. didn't help the marriage, but helped us individually. you find your hurt (unlovable, stupid, worthless, ugly, fat... go here for a good article about this: and here for a list of common hurts: .

So after reading the articles, listening to him and figuring out our hurt (mine is stupid, I can explain that in my diary someday if anyone cares to hear it, and also unlovable), here's the exercise:

Close your eyes. Go back to your earliest memories of being hurt. Where as a child you thought, it must be my fault. It must be me. Imagine yourself now facing that earliest you. Apologize to the young you. Forgive the big you. Say "I'm sorry I didn't give you a chance, I didn't believe in you. If I'd known then what I know now.... You are lovable." Then go take a memory of when you were a little older. Do the same thing, and so on until you are here. I may have to go back to the counselor to get the right words. It was an amazing, freeing experience. It brought me so much peace. I don't know, facing that child and forgiving yourself. It sounds hokey, but it was the single most important experience of my life and took just a couple of minutes.

Okay, so I should have used my diary for this???? Well, you made me think of it with your story....

Way to go Amy!

You should be so proud of yourself and what you have accomplished on this weight loss journey. And to think that you had the power to do it yourself....no surgery. Pat yourself on the back. It sad to think back to things we didn't do or didn't accomplish. There are always "what ifs". But this is here, this is now, and nothing is going to stop you now. You're awesome!!:D

My take is usually not a popular one but I think a 'controlled pissed off' is a good replacement for the 'sad' version of ourselves. I read your '04 quote and found myself in my past as well.

Getting pissed off about my own obesity was the best emotion to date that's worked for me - controlling and channeling it was the key. It's a sign of maturity.
