Part Deux of Shawnna's weight loss journey :)

Hey :) Thanks for checking on me, all is well.

I just wanted to let everyone know it is 430 AM and I am getting ready to jog before my 700 am class... call me a doctor because I must have lost my mind.
 
So, I went on my jog... It lasted an astounding 17 mins! Lol, I don't know how long it is, I think it is about 1.5 miles with up hill and down hill, so I hope I burned some calories, I thought it would take me like 30 mins at least. Oh Well.

So, I made me a breakfast sandwich, it is a 100 Cal Whole Wheat English Muffin, 2 egg whites, 2 slices of deli turkey, and a slice of swiss cheese and DAMN it's good. MMM, and the english muffin has 8 g of Fiber and 7 g of protein so it should keep me full for only like 200 calories total.

I've been bad the past few days, which is partially why I have not been on here, but I did manage to lose some weight and I am going to continue my weight loss downward trend, by golly.

Also, I wanted to remind everyone that my ONE YEAR WEIGHT LOSS ANNIVERSARY is May 5th! I think that is the next time I will post pictures, I hope I can impress everyone (especially myself). I PROMISE to work my butt off almost everyday until then!


Food:

Snack-
- Strawberries (170 g) (50 calories)
- Muscle Milk, Lite (100 calories)

Snack-
- Mandarins (140 g) (70 calories)

LOL- 4:30 AM- are you crazy?? Still losing weight- good for you!! The homemade egg mcmuffins are delicious, aren't they. Once in a while i get one from McDonalds- no cheese and no butter- about 190 calories but you are right the homemade ones are even more delicious.

One year- that is a milestone and you should be so proud of yourself. You have come a long way!! I promise we will all be impressed.

125.6 pounds!!!!!


That means I have lost 45.8 pounds in 11 months and one day. GAH :D

Great Job!! Wasn't your goal 125 pounds??? You have done so well. You should be so proud of yourself!! Now what is next? More toning? Do you have anything left to tone-lol?
 
I am going to keep trying to reach my goal of toning to a six pack, but what I noticed is while I still have fat on my belly I want to get rid of I have virtually no fat on my chest... you can see my ribs and chest bone in my chest, WTH!? Stupif body, losing fat in all the wrong places. Also my collar bones stick out a lot, another indications a lot of fat has come off my chest, but my thighs,m butt, and belly are still there. OI, at least I have something to work on.

I am taking this strength training class that I took last summer and it was SO INTENSE, but back then I was 163 pounds and all the muscle I got was hidden away under a million inches of fat, but this year I am like 40 pounds lighter so I can do the workouts easier AND all my hardwork will SHOW, so I am sure I will get the body I want from the help of the class.

I was talking to a personal trainer lately about those problems areas and they advised (not sure if it's correct or not since I haven't researched it myself) that woman have lymph nodes in those areas and the only way to lose fat there is to change your diet because all the toxins from the food we eat cause waste to store in those areas. Men have them in their middle section so that's why it's always harder for men to loose their belly but woman's are in their upper arms, thighs and right below the belly button.
Might be something to look into. I also think this personal trainer was trying to sell me this detox diet (some sort of algae detox) that he recommended would work to loose the fat in those areas. He told me I will always be 10 pounds away from my goal if I didn't change my diet to only include clean eating and organic foods - I'm not too sure how much I believe him so I'm going to do some of my own research.
Don't you wish we could spot reduce! Great work though - keep it up!

Thanks for the advice, I will look into it. I am in a nutrition class at my university and they told us our bodies want to store fat as far away from vital organs as possible, and for women sadly our ovaries are considered a vital organ and our bodies will store fat at our butts and thighs to keep fat away from them. Thats why men store in the belly, they don't have precious ovaries to protect, and when a woman undergoes a hysterectomy she will often start storing fat in the belly instead of butt and thighs. The lower belly fat is there in women to protect a fetus so if mom hits her belly baby has padding. I know if I keep trying it will go away, I mean there are tons of women who get six packs, it just takes work.

I wish I could stop losing chest fat though, I look anorexic up there and average below that lmao.

You look FANTASTIC!! Congratulations!! There is a big difference between your last pictures and these ones. You can definitely see the ab development as well. Quite a transformation from when you started!
 
Aw shucks, thanks cowboy :) I almost feel like I look scrawny lol I seem so tiny compared to what I looked like a year ago

Hi Shawnna!!! :party:!! Congrats on getting to your goal!!! That's just fabulous!!! I loved your long post that you made about how you reached to be where you are! I actually just took the time to read your whole diary here!! I think you are just FABULOUS!!!

I relate a lot to your old body! Too much. LOL! Though, I will tell you, you were still gorgeous! ...Funny how people are giving you the reverse comments now. I bet people might even tell you now, that you are getting "too skinny".. Fuck them! haha! You have worked hard and have a LOT to be proud of ! You are Smart & Gorgeous & Gorgeous & Smart-! I actually do the Beachbody products right now too!

I am on day 30 of p90x & on week 2 of Slim in 6! I have a video (lost the others of Hip Hop Abs). I really appreciate how honest you are about your journey. Your ups, your downs, because that's the reality of it! Life!

I thought it was really interesting that epiphany you had on your bed about losing yourself when you saw your flat abs. I often wonder the same thing...and remember that when I had reached my 139 point break years back that one of the reasons why I sabotaged myself, was because I wanted to recognize myself. My whole life I had been 170-187-165, and the "attention from men" was getting OVERWHELMING!

I mean, like you said,...you have to wear a FAKE RING! Fuck! ...it's crazy! haha. I think growing up, so many people always tried to "change me" into what they thought was best for me, that I used weight as a shield to fend them off. With weight, I could mask myself, and if they still loved me, ...that meant they were "real" and they really loved the "true me", not just the attractive outer appearance me. (when I would allow myself to get there) It's something I still think about. The thing that I do appreciate is that I have a bf that I've had for years, and he will love me regardless! :beating:! Glad you have that too. Love that your bf asks you to flex for him! hahah! :D!!

I'll be keeping track of you, woman!! :jump:!!! BRING IT!!!! :D!
 
LOL@scrawny. Funny thing- someone I hadn't seen for a long time called me that when I seen him a couple of weeks ago. I have never, ever been called scrawny. The word has negative connotations until you tell someone that used to weigh 320 pounds - 'you're so scrawny'-made my whole week-LOL!! Really- you should be so happy and proud with what you have done. It takes real courage and determination to get where you are!!
 
Just an FYI:
You are one of my main inspirations right now.
Seeing someone like you have amazing beautiful results makes me sure that I can do this for myself!

Sorry I have been MIA for awhile now, im finishing up my junior year of college, working, and in the process of moving. Ive also been physically exhausted and just dont have mucb energy to do anything

Nice to see you back!! Sounds like you are really busy! Take care of yourself and remember to give yourself a break now and then.
 
So far today has been good. I had an interview at US Bank, I use to work there almost 2 years ago, but I had to leave for school. I think it went well, and I have a really good track record with them so I am hoping I get it!

I have also been good with my food today, and have actually had some water. For the past few weeks since I have been gone I have been very naughty with my eating. my car is full of fast food wrappers, boo. But, I weighed myself this morning with clothes on and food in my stomach and came out to 126.2 pounds so I don't think I have done any damage (thank goodness)!

My one year weight loss anniversary is in 3 days, I think i am going to celebrate with a cake... SYKE! Im not eating no dang cake!

I hope everyone is doing well :)
