Owl writes about things that make people blush

My old standby, a motorola razr, until I broke mine last week, I had the same phone for 3 years. I miss it. I have a photo blog for my family to look at and I have not blogged since it broke because I don't have my camera phone to snap pics with...who would want to carry around a camera AND a phone. Not me, my pants are tight and there is only room for something small in these pockets...for now...you know...until I lose some chub.

So, food today:

Coffee 100
south beach thing 100
chicken soup: 150
south beach thing 100
coco zucchini bread made by coworker 10,000 (what? it was too moist not to have four cups of oil in it, and maybe a pound of butter).

I feel like a slug today. I can't wait to get home and sprinkle myself generously with salt (and tequila).

Even after you lose your "chub", you still don't want the pants to be baggy right? I mean, you'll be wanting to show off your newly toned and trimmed hawtness to everyone...

and yes, we like pictures here. It's not just because I'm a voyeur either, really.. err... :blush5:

yesterdays numbers: the completed version:
Coffee 100
south beach thing 100
chicken soup: 150
south beach thing 100
coco zucchini bread made by coworker 300
turkey breast 200
carrots 100
ranch dressing 200 (lots of ranch...)
glass of wine 125
cereal 300
south beach thing 100
total 1775. I also drank a ton of green iced tea, but that was calorie free. Pretty sure I over estimated the carrots, cereal, and soup though...unless there are actually 100 calories in two medium carrots. However, I may have underestimated the calories in the ranch dressing. I might as well have opened the bottle and drank it straight.

So far this morning I've had coffee and a south beach snack bar thing. I was so damned hungry when I got to work. That kind of hungry that you can feel in your spine and makes you feel like making puky all over your desk.

So, heres a question for the ladies: What can I do to make my legs leaner. I have short tree trunk legs but I have tons of skirts and dresses that I never wear because I hate my legs. Like, literally hate them. I'd actually replace them if that were possible, but since I'm stuck to them I have to work with what the good LAWD gave me. So, any suggestions for toning these babies up?

:smilielol5: The way you write is hilarous!!

I have the same problem and although i do almost all my cardio on a stationary bike when not running, i find that my legs only start to tone a bit when i've generally lost some weight. I love wearing skirts so i just wear long flowy ones that dont really emphasize the shape of my legs.

hmm.. a friend of mine toned up her legs doing LOTS of lunges.. I mean like, 50 a day for awhile.. and some jogging..but that was after she lost a lot of weight... but it did work for her. For me? Not so much, I have to do a lot of various exercises everywhere.. like, I can't just fix my legs, I have to fix everything and lose weight all over before I can see actual results anywhere specific.

I use Power 90 the beginner DVD phase 1/2. It does work if you stick to it at least 5 days a week.. most people who hadn't seen me for some time (when I lost weight before) thought I went to the gym, that's how well it worked for me... and it's not so bad, only 1/2 hour of exercise.

There's lots of kicking in the cardio phase and yoga, and in the sculpt phase there are lunges and squats which seemed to help my legs and butt the most.. hope this helps you... oh another thing that really helped me was going up and down stairs a lot.

I'm working on the fat loss thing. When I was 160 earlier this year my legs looked good, but not as toned as I wanted them too. I have thin ankles and big calves and basically no definition between my calves and my knees. And then big huge fat thunder thighs and a ghetto bootay. curse this short stature. If I was 6'5" I'd be fucking HAWT!

After doing running, 30 lunges every other day, 20 rowing squats, and losing the 11 lbs I'm beginning to see some definition in my legs that I had before I put on all the extra weight. Just use cardio and do some squats. Make sure not to do it where you knee's go past your toes.

squats and lunges...check...I can do those right now! In my office! Looking like the freak they all already think I am! Why am I so excited about it? IDK...

Hey darlin' first, not to bust any bubbles, but there ain't no such thang as spot reduction. If you want to get those gams looking good, you're gonna need to get your BF% down some by losing fat. ultimately, nothing else works. Now, as far as toning up is concerned, that is another matter entirely. Squats, lunges, deadlifts, step ups and good old fashioned cardio like cycling will do wonders for tone. Look up a couple of other types that work wonders also like Romanian deadlifts and one legged Romanian Deadlifts if you wanna really start getting into it. Lots of youtube vids on both.

I will go on record here on another thing though... Babe, sounds like you got curves darlin' and curves are a good thing :drool5: Nothing wrong with some bootay! All you wanna do is tighten them up and make it all look fit. Embrace the curves, or come over and visit me and let me embrace your curves :smilielol5: that works too.

No pepper? How 'bout some oregano? Maybe some chervil? Or, perhaps you would go well with a dash of cilantro. WHO KNOWS? God, I bet you're delicious though...

...hmm? What? Who said that?

Ya, I know I can't spot lose, but I know I can spot tone. When the fat is off the legs, I'd like them to have definition. I'm curvy, but it's all in the wrong places.

I go great with some fava beans and a nice cianti...

Chef's horny tonight ...

Me too! See, Chef and I have so much in common its scary.

Today is the company bbq, so therefore I am writing it off, completely, as far as food and control go. Thankfully we are having it a huge park with walking and biking trails and we brought the soccer and vollyballs and horseshoes out.

It's also the last day of summer for my kid, yup, school starts on Monday and he is going to be in second grade. What the hell happened. It seems like just yesterday it was the last day of summer school and he was finally going to get to sleep in. The good thing about this year though, he will be in a fully integrated classroom, no special ed, and no behavioral health TA. This is a big step for him, but I am very proud of the progress he's made in becoming a more social (with children) person. Now, if he can just maintain control of his OCD habits and not freak out when kids get in his bubble.

I've been trying to wean myself off some meds that I've been on for a few years. They have a tendency to exacerbate OCD behavior in certain ways and already having OCD tendencies, I've noticed that my alcohol consuption has become kinda exacerbated and that not only are my meds not controlling my manic behavior, but I'm drinking way too much, so I'm weaning off these meds and it's making me terribly dizzy and I'm having lightening storms in my head. But, I feel less of a compulstion to drink, and in the last two days havn't really given it much thought at all. Last night I had some wine, but that was a concious decision to drink it with dinner, and not a NEED to have a drink in my very empty hand kind of behavior.

Anyways, thats where I am today. Goals for the weekend are to clean the kids room to get him ready for school, and get in a good long fabulous bike ride. I may take a week off here from work soon to just stay home and relax and do my autumn cleaning and purging the house ritual. I live in a cold cold cold winter climate, and there is a lot of work to be done before winter hits to prepare the house, including wrapping pipes under the house with heat coils so they don't freeze. I can't believe I'm already worrying about winter.

Okay, I'm off for the weekend. While I'm gone, no partying in my diary...okay...Kara, Chef, Cabbie, that means you!

See, Chef and I have so much in common its scary.

You mean, you have a small weiner too?

I've got the vodka! Chef - we need snacks!

Dude, I'm totally bringing snacks. Homemade guacamole, tortilla chips, roasted garlic focaccia, bacon wrapped scallops, grilled fajitas...damnit, now I'm all hungry.

Chef's hornier than normal tonight ...

Fix't.

And on to business. Did someone say partay? *breaks out a boom box and starts stripping on the bar*

Wat? When everyone runs in terror the booze is all mine. And wassup Owl, when you come back.

Owl your diary is a HOOT! Haha no pun intended lmao. Anyways, hope ur weekend was great! Hope your still having luck with weaning off the meds and drinking less.
