One pound at a time

Ever thought of adding it up Trout? Firstly, it might give you a nice reality check in the future when you'll need some outside motivation to keep you in line as the gung-ho dieting phase starts to wain. As to how you add it up, you use fitday.com or some other tool and pick foods in the estimated quantities and you add and pick foods around the same to make it quick (they have tons of foods already listed). Second, an actual number of calories you ate before helps you figure out how many to cut. You may not want to cut too too much at once because that may have been why you backslide. You will probably lose the same amount of weight even if you ate a bit more. Anyway, I'm probably being annoying so I'll stop. Take care :).
 
Blancita, It never crossed my mind to add it up.

Had a good day, I ate to much for lunch. At least that is what my wife said. So I cut back a little bit on dinner, which I don't like to do. Dinner is my faroite meal. Did my walk. Doing pretty good.

This was cooking day. I cooked skinless boneless chicken, Turkey burgers, sautéed onions & green peppers. Takes a long time. I don't know how it became my job. Little concerned about my p.b.j. sandwich. See if I pay the price tomorrow. My wife has been sick since new years day. Shes really sick, because shes feeling sorry for her self & that is unusual for her. Me telling her to quit being a baby & suck it up, probably doesn't help. I have been waiting on her hand & foot. Shes no better at all yet, which concerns me.

Uner 300 Lbs.

A good day under 300 LBS., so glad to be under, worked hard for it this week. My wife is still sick, says she feels no better. But I think she is acting a little better. Keep my fingers crossed. Besides feeling bad for her. We work together, so I have to do my work her work & everything else. So I'm getting sick of her being sick. And then one of my orders today vanished before my eyes, after an hour of work.

Trout, did you just gain 99 lbs or is that a typo?! You're in the 2s not 3s, great job! Now remember to eat at least 3 nutritious meals each day so you dont give up and go back to your old ways. Hope wifey feels better soon.

Great job on week 1! You're very consistent I see! I mean shiat, you're posting Big Loser numbers! Too bad you're not on my team in the WLF Big Loser challenge.

Rather than the ice cream, I just discovered something really nice yesterday. Do you have a Costco nearby? They sell this large bag of frozen Dole fruit (peaches, pineapple, strawberries, canteloupe and honey dew melon) and I mixed 1 cup of that with 1/2 cup milk in the blender. It was so thick you had to eat with a spoon, like ice cream. It honestly was so damn satisfying, I was surprised!

Watching Grass Grow

A Very Sad Day

I did not lose any weight today. I can not believe it. And to make it even more distressing, football is on today & what do you do during foofball? You eat really good food, like chips, dip, steak, ice cream, candy, steak, fried chicken. Anyway I'm not happy right now.

Had a good day today. Were going out to Famous Dave's (it's a BBQ place) tonight for my moms birthday. Have already planned what I'm eating. So I should be OK.
Did my walk this morning.
The best news is my son got his drivers license. The reason that is great is, he works at a movie theater & gets off at 11:00 PM - 1:00 AM a lot & how was the one that would pick him up. OH HAPPY DAYS FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

allyphoe, Thank you. Especially me. This week he has play practice every evening until midnight & now I don't have to pick him up. What a great feeling.

Anyway I had a good day. I ate way to much this evening, I will be shocked if I don't gain weight tomorrow morning. The important thing is to get right back to eating right. A meal or even a whole day or weekend will not kill a diet, & this is where so many times I have failed in the past. I must get past it. I need to learn to blow it & for it to be OK. Do I sound a little worried. I am a little bit but not a lot, its a thing that is a must learn if I am to succeed in losing all of my weight & get healthy.

Also is it possible with so little weight lost that I already feel better.

What a great attitude Chip! You're so right about getting back on track right away after a bad meal or weekend. You can actually maintain your goal weight that way, as long as you eat a light meal or two afterwards to make up for anything too over the top.

I bet you do feel better from just eating healthier and lighter and exercising regularly. All of that I think is supposed to clear out your blood fats and give your liver a break from all the work its doing in processing the sugar etc.

Did have a good day today. I gained .50 Lbs. today, I new I was going to gain from what I ate yesterday. Was it worth it. I don't know. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. Ate good today. My family had pizza, I had chicken salad. I could of had one or two pieces of pizza, I preferred to have a big salad.

HEY, what up troutman! I got an e-mail update on your diary, good to see you back in the game. I too am dieting yet again. I started a few days before the new year. I had gained all my weight back from my last diet and then some. I call the last diet where I did great (and you too) my 06 diet, got down to just under 200, down from 280. Anyway, I got back up to 287 so I thought to hell with that and started the same diet (same strategy) Im down to 266 now and still going strong. I moved to AZ for my internship/residency and the hospital gives us free food, so I gained the last 15-20 lbs pretty fast. Its amazing how fast the weight comes on. On my 06 diet, my wife and kids were in UT, and I was in MI doing med school rotations. I pretty much isolated myself and had little temptation. Now we all live together and my wife cooks good food, so Ive had to overcome some weaknesses to do my diet. I dont eat their meals anymore, which has been hard, but Ive done pretty good at it and its motivating my wife too which is even better. My 06 diet crashed when I moved back home with them. Anyway, its good to see you back here. Im not posting anymore, but I watch every once and a while. It seems me and you are always on the same track, whether doing good or bad. As long as you keep doing good I guess I will too so keep it up! Later

On the 16Th late afternoon, a bank called with 43 work orders. We typically do 20-30 orders a week. We had until Sunday evening to get done. We worked night & day & got them all done on time. We ended up with 73 orders for the week. The most we had before this was 53 orders.

Anyway have been doing good diet wise. Could be because I did not have time to think about food.
