Sorry about the watch! Funny you say that about 2 miles. Before I started walking, 2 miles was f.o.r.e.v.e.r.....
now, 2 miles is a nice little walk. Did you ever get in your car and see how far it actually is? I was really impressed! Good Job!
Had a good day had about 1,700 calories. Ran 4 miles (a little over) in 55:30. It was a cool 96 degrees at least there was a hot wind blowing. I have decided I'm not running in the morning anymore. I to tired the rest of the day. So I will have to learn to enjoy the heat.
beachcomergal, Are town is divided into mile squares so its not hard to no how far you have gone.
Very good workout troutman, I wish i could run like you. You know that running will build up your leg muscles, and muscles burn more calories than fat, in turn that increases your metabolism cus your burning more. Keep it up. You'll be there in no time.
Ran my 4 miles today in 47:55 which is a whopping 5 seconds faster than before. I'm thrilled!!!! It was only 96 degrees then the nice hot wind so I did not get cold. I was really worried about getting cold. Stayed within my calories. Even with going out to lunch & dinner. I feel like I'm really focused right now.
Since I'm going to be on the computer all day at the office going to post now. I ate good for breakfast, I hope for the rest of the day I eat right. I will confess tomorrow if I don't. I got up early (5:30 AM) to run. It was a cool 78.
Will it ever cool off here in Lancaster? It was 79 this morning when I ran at 6:00 AM. The normal low should be around 60 -65 degrees. I just want to SCREAM! I think this is the first summer I've ever been losing weight. So I'm not use to the heat. This was like a day off though I mostly walked my 6.4 KMS. I'm done feeling sorry for my self. I weigh in tomorrow it will be my first week this year I have triedwhich is sad to say. I have had a good week & I will be shocked if I don't lose 7 Lbs. I'm hoping for 10 Lbs. It feels great to be on track. Went out for breakfast & going out for dinner. Really makes it much harder when your doing that, but I've done very good.
chip, you have been doing great! And I'm in Southern CA too - it's HOT!
BTW, were you talking about losing 10 pounds this week or this month? I'm not sure if I read that right, but 10 pounds in a week is really, really hard on your body!
M2M, 10 Lbs. this week is right. I have not lost weight this year. As you know when you first start a diet you lose a lot of weight the first week. I don't know how much weight I will lose. I do know I have worked hard enough to lose 10 Lbs. If its hard on my body I will be happy to live with it.
M2M is right Troutman... 10 pounds is ALOT on your body in one week. A pound of fat is 3,500 calories. To lose 10 pounds you'd have to exercise off 35,000 calories ONTOP of what you normally do. That'd be very hard. And not too good for your body. You're supposed to lose about 2 pounds a week to be healthy. Sides, if you loose the fat too fast, your skin may not um... adapt as quickly. And it might be a bit... um... saggy. :-\
M2M is also right that you're doing an amazing job though.
Did have a good week, a little disappointed. I am so happy to be on track, I can not express it in words. I think I'll should be able do do about 5 Lbs a week for the next 6 weeks.
WEIGHT ON MONDAY 06/19/06 - 237.75
WEIGHT TODAY 06/26/06 - 230.25
THIS WEEKS WEIGHT LOSS - 7.50 LBS.
Stayed within my calories. Ran 5 miles & that was after working 12 hours. I think that is what separates you from other people. When you go out and do your work out when you can use every excuse not to. I ran my 5 miles under one hour & its something I have wanted to do since one of the contestants on The Biggest Loser said he could run 5 miles in an hour.
5 MILES - 54:48 A NEW RECORD BY A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
