and thanx for the tip about the sugar free ice cream. i'm diabetic so it's nice to know!

Yesterday was a learning day. First of all I wanted something sweet, but I was not going to have sugar. So I bought 3 bags of sugar free candy. They are not big bags. I ate 2 1/2 bags, I found out you do not do that I was sick for about 6 hours. Then I found out why people say never leave a trail your on. I was in deep thought on my run & I missed my trail & I had no idea where I was. It took me 5 Mins. to get back to my regular trail was. No danger because of where I live, at the most I can go a mile in any direction & find a road. But I'm moving to the country shortly & I won't have that luxury. So I did learn to important things yesterday. I ate 2,000 calories 500 to many. Did do my 4 mile run.

yea that sugar free candy. Most of them have sugar alcohol in them. Alot of people have a bad reaction to them. works about the same as exlax

candy

Something about a guy that loves candy - it just makes me smile. :) Hang in there, Troutman! Maybe try dividing your candy up into 100 calorie portions and putting each one in a zipper baggie with "100 CALORIES" written on the front in Sharpie marker. I have done this with some of my snacks, and the big handwriting really does help me decide whether I am going to indulge now, or wait until later in the week. It also helps me "say when".

twinmom2791, I will have to give that a try. Not much fun though.

I woke up at 6:00 AM this morning & was to lazy to get up & do my run before work. The only time I had to run today it was a cool 99. I actually did really good, considering the temp.

4 Miles 50:24

running in 99 wow your a better man than i. well if you were trying to burn calories that heat should have kicked your furnace into high gear. Just keep your water close at hand in that heat your body will prob want more than normal.

Great News!

hillbillylee, Your not kidding about the water. Up until 7 years ago I walked for a living. So I'm use to how far I can push myself. Before you know it your going to be where I'm at right now. Keep your eye on the price.

Well my two week diet plan finally kicked in today:) . So I will be losing weight on a consistent basis now. I really wish I could start Sunday but I would be disappointing the family. So I will start Monday. Did my run today. It was only 99 degrees again. I take 32 Oz. of water with me on my runs, anytime its over 75. Today I could have easily used double that. That might be because I worked in the yard all day before I did my run. Guess I'll learn to get up at 6:00 AM if I dislike running in heat enough. But bed feels so good in the morning.

4.06 Miles - 50:50 Since it was so hot I'll take the .06 of a mile.

I kept 3 miles at a time that would put me doing 5 miles in under 1 hour. So with it being so hot I know I can make it when it is cooler. So I'm going to go for it sometime in the next week.

Could Not Sleep

I could not sleep last night. I kept waking up, knowing I had to get up early and run. I did not want to run in the heat again. Then I started thinking should I go for 5 miles in less than an hour. Then I would be mad at myself for not sleeping. On & on I went. I ended up getting up at 6:00 AM. Headed out the door for my run at 6:45. I was in for a shock it was already hot. I was thinking to would be a cool 65 degrees. I went straight back into the house to check the temp. It was 77 degrees, I was very unhappy. So I was thinking maybe to go for my record, I would decide while running. I was still undecided until I was at 2.25 miles & got a bloody nose, and had not Kleenex. Had to walk for about 5 Mins. until it went away. When I got back home it was 84 degrees. Thats 7 degrees higher in less than an hour.

Well I weigh in tomorrow, then just once a week. I'm very excited. My family took me out to a buffet for brunch. Very Good. Of course I ate to much.

4.14 Miles 55:18

Troutman

You are inspirational in your running. I use to run and I remember the feeling you get when you are finished and cooling down. I don't run anymore but I feel pretty good after a long fast walk. I must say that you are very disciplined in your exercise regime. Might I ask you what propells you in times when you just rather hang around inside in the air conditioning? And to exercise through a bleeding nose.

You are determined.

hillbillylee, Here in Lancaster it is usually cooler in the morning than night. Even if it wasn't I'm not a night runner.

jennifuffa, What makes me keep going. 1. I want to be able to climb a mountain. Run a Marathon. Enjoy growing older. Run a ultra marathon. Run a 10K under 40 mins.

Am I the only one that loves the sweat of a hard work out. Especially when your done.

This is positive week

Weigh in was about the same 237.75 Lbs. :D I will only weigh in once a week now. Had a good day all the weight around.

This is positive week I'm to say or write nothing but positive until next week.

feel great being on track with my eating. My son bought me shark for fathers day. I have not had shark:p in 10-20 years. I don't know any restaurants that serve it anymore. I cooked the shark for dinner tonight & it was as good as I remember. What a great & unusual Fathers Day Gift:eek: .

Ran 5.06 :) miles time 1:06:34

Your doing awsome and i am glad your focused again your rocking!

I think I have lost a ton of weight. Wishful thinking. I have done great the last 2 days. I walked only 2 miles a day, not very much. My body really needed the rest. How things change when I can walk 2 miles and thats a rest. Pretty Cool!!!! I don't know my time on the 2 miles.

Had a great day, stayed within my calories. Ran my 4 miles in 49:30 & it was a cool 93 degrees. Which sounds like will be cool compared to this weekend. My wife had bought me a GPS watch & it broke yesterday, I only had it for like 5 weeks. It was so amazing, the things it did. My wife said we could get another one. I think they are relatively new so I think we will wait a year until we get another one. I will really miss it.

watch

Maybe your watch is still under a warranty and it would just cost you the shipping to get it sent in and fixed. Maybe?

Hey - today was the first day of summer, the longest day of the year! That means it should be a little darker a little longer each morning when you get up to run!!!
