Does it count if the scale flashed to 249 before settling on 250? lol.

Lol! That always happens to me! I think it definitely means something. Like, you could be 249.55 or something, which is better than being a straight out 250.
 
I cheated... I got on the scale again this morning......


249!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOO!!! That makes 10lbs since I started my diary, and 15lbs from my highest weight ever. Anyway, because of it, I'm going to be super good this week. Am looking for a 3 or 4 lbs loss this week. At least, I'm hoping for that... Wish me motivation everyone! :) Hope y'all have a great day, and a great weekend!
 
That is so great! Congratulations. It's so great when you hit a mark like that and it just motivates you to do even more. I'm so happy for you :)

Ok, so guess what I did today??

I did a 3.5 mile loop with my father and brother. I ran for 2 of the miles, and walked the other 1.5. I ran a mile first, then walked, then ran to the end. I even beat my dad and bro home too. (though thats only because Chris has shin splints and some toe issues so he couldnt run as much. But its still a win in my books. :D)

I was so proud of myself. AND when I had to stop running the first time, it wasnt because I was tired necessarily, but because I had a major side ache that wasnt going away. Hoping for a better time/ longer amount of running next time. I am actually starting to like this whole running thing. And I'm getting to the point where I dont give a damn if people look at me while running. In all honesty, they will have forgotten about me about 20 seconds after I'm out of sight. :)

Anyway, my brother is having his b-day dinner thingy today, so I'll be extra good. Am totally excited about this upcoming week. Want to see some more pounds come off!

Anyway, so I thought I'd share that. And when I woke up this morning, my younger brother had made pizza for breakfast :confused: and offered me some. He offered me a huge piece, and I had read about pizza in my new book yesterday, so I really wanted it. And I had some. But I tore the piece in half and ate it slowly, enjoying the flavors. :) And you know what? I'm full, and content. yay :)

Well, I've got a bunch of stuff to do tonight, and not enough time to do it all. Have to make a piano cover for my singing groups concert next week, then I have to run to the three different barns I work at, clean stalls, feed and bring in, and then I have a 3 hour rehersal. oh fun. :)Hope y'all have a great day!

I like thinking that if I keep it simple, no diets, just smart choices, I can still enjoy the little things, like pizza, or the yummy zucchini carrot chocolate chip muffins I made this afternoon. :) Thanks for stopping by, having people here to encourage me keeps me motivated! God, 12lbs already. I'm going to think about it like I do when I'm running. I set a small goal in front of where I am, then pass it, and keep going, just pushing myself that little bit further. My mini goal is 15lbs. Then 20. The bigger goal is 25lbs by thanksgiving. I figure I will reward myself when I hit 30, maybe with a new violin, or a shopping spree at the tack store! :p

The singing is hard. We're doing a lot of Henry Mancini stuff, so lots of close harmonys and crazy rhythms. Its awesome being challenged.

Oh, and you know that saying, "You know a person is a horse person when they'd rather clean a stall then clean their room." ? Yeah, that's me.:D My room is a mess, my barns are clean. :) Minus the cobwebs that are too high for me to reach with a broom. lol

Anyway, was good today. I behaved myself, didnt have any real cravings for food, or to overeat. I'm trying to keep busy, but I find that as I'm getting better at controling myself, the urge to just eat whenever I'm bored is going away. I think it's awesome. Makes me want to see what else I can change about myself. I also am finding that rather than just throwing on a tee shirt and some jeans I'm taking more time with my appearence when I go out. Its nice, especially when one of my friends noticed. I just never took the time before, because I was always so caught up in thinking that I was just fat and ugly and what was the point?. Anywho, that's what I've been up to today. Its currently 1:00 in the morning, so I'm going to say good night (or good morning for those on the other side of the world) and I'll update soon.

p.s. If I havent been making rounds to your journals, I'm sorry. I'm a bit busy, but I'll try to get to them by the end of the week. Maybe tomorrow if I can free up some time.

:willy_nilly: Shopping spree!!!!!! I'm waiting to get to 10 kgs (22lbs) to do that! I can't wait! It's great to give yourself little rewards along the way, it keeps you happy about what you're doing and it makes you realize how much you've accomplished.

Nite Nite Xorie . I know what ya mean about the room verses the stable (or as you call it a barn hee hee). I'm pretty much the same. Jakey's stable is always spotless my house on the other hand, could go a week without a bit of a dust or polish, so who cares, I'm never there anyway :sifone:

I'm so pleased that you are taking time with your appearance, its amazing isn't it. This is my first week to wear a skirt to work ever and I mean I have been working here 15 years. I wore a skirt and high shoes and everyone was like OMG what happened you???? But they were really nice about it like giving me compliments etc so that was nice.

I know by the sound of your diary and the notes you keep sending me that you are so not an ugly person. You are a very nice, genuine girl, inside and out I would say, so start telling yourself that and you might start believing it. You can be full sure other people see the beautiful side of you, so its time you started to see it. Well done Xorie and keep up the good work xx Maddie

Thats the same way with me. :) However, all that's on the floor in my room are just clothes. Its laundry day today, so my room gets clean as well. :D

Doesnt it feel nice when people notice? I for one am ALWAYS wearing my hair up in ponytail, or a braid. I wore it down the other day, and people noticed. It was nice. And thanks for the compliments. They mean a lot. Really, they do. When I was younger and in school, I was constantly teased and tormented by pretty much all of the kids. It sucked. So I'm working on being better about liking myself before caring what other people think. I swear, it is getting better everyday. So thank you. Thank you, Thank you. :beating:

Don't worry about over eating a little at the dinner table, the best thing was that you didn't stop off at the fast food dinner, so you should be very very proud of yourself. Its not easy especially when your soooo hungry because your sugar levels are all over the place at that stage. You know, believe it or not, I have started carrying cereal bars with me all the time, just so when I do get really really ravenous, I can have a half one or a full one to nibble on just to keep me away from the bad stuff. It works for me anyway. I know its not a bar of choc or anything, but it actually does take the ravenous hunger away until I can eat something healthy. I'm getting so much better at letting things go its amazing. :) And I've now got little bags of nuts or dried fruit in my car to keep me from craving. :) And thanks for the support, I love coming on here and knowing that it will be here for me. :)

God, I have major problems when it comes to italian foods. I'm sooooo bad when it comes to that. I used to be majorly self concious when exercising, but I find that once I'm going, I'm focusing on breathing too much to care about what other people think. That's another huge step foreward for me. ;) BUT i'd still rather have a treadmill. :)



SOOOO WEIGH IN TODAY>>

245!!!!!! I saw 244, but the darn scale settled on 245. Oh well, that just shows me how close I am to 244... :) Woohoo!

Oh, and my mom and were the same weight last week, so I challenged her to a race to 200. She's actually on board for it too. Competition is good for both of us.

Oh, and for lunch, we stopped at a buffet... Seriously, a HUGE deal for temptation. BUT I got my plate, got a very small scoop of my fav mac and cheese, then green beans, a piece of grilled chicken, and then some salad. I ate the salad first, then the green beans. Then I took the skin off of the chicken and ate half of it, then I had 2 bites of the mac and cheese. Just enough for me to savor the taste. I also only had water. Afterwards, I thought about dessert, and I got a very small piece of carrot cake and only ate half of that. I shocked myself at how good I was. AND there was no real pull to make me want to get up and get seconds. I swear, that is the first time where I have left a buffet comfortably satisfied, not stuffed or even full. And that was a great feeling.

Anywho, I have to go sing at a fair tonight, so am going to NOT get any food. Maybe a water and something to share with my sister, but no burgers, burritos, pizza, elephant ears, or anything. Food is not my god anymore, and the freedom is amazing!

p.s. I'm going riding tonight, and am super duper excited. :)

Sounds like you've been doing awesome Xorie! And a massive well done on the loss! You must be sooo pleased! You're a great inspiration for fending off all the temptations - great going! Little things like that can really spur you on can't they! Love it.

An elephant ear is like a thin sweet tortilla with smothered with butter and cinnamon, and sugar all over it. Basically a big fat heart attack that tastes good. lol

And thanks for the support, I honestly dont think I would be doing as well without all the support I get from people on this website!
