Hi Xorie!
Just found this thread of yours ... sounds as if you and me are in a really similar boat - you know how I said in my thread I was headed to Florida next year ... that's for a wedding, too!! It's all about the dress right?! Gotta have a nice dress!!
I am also totally with you on the whole embarrassed-to-be-seen-doing-exercise thing! Unfortunately I dont have a remote barn to run around haha. I even get embarrassed in front of my brother! That'll have to change though, we have an exercise bike at home and I need to make the most of it!
Sounds like you're doing great though! Your little tickerfactory thing says you have already lost 6lbs, so that's great! As I'm used to weighing myself in stones, 6lbs is pretty significant for me cuz it's only 1lb from half a stone, and I always think once that first half a stone is off, the enthusiasm and motivation will completely kick in! So, seriously well done!! I can't wait until my first 6lbs are off!
Really good going![]()

haha... nice, that's totally doable! And fun? (jk). Good luck!
And I thought my brother and I would be running on less traveled roads, but no... down the freaking main part of the speedway... *dies* But i realized that while I was concentrating on breathing and not dieing, it really wasnt that bad. I was glad though that all I had had for breakfast was half and apple, because I would have been puking it up on the way up the long hill... It's really cool that youre mom is on the same page as you! It's awesome that you got her to stay on track! definitely a good way to keep each other moving in the right direction!
damn, cleaning stalls in a barn? that's definitely some calorie burning activity AND a muscle builder! hhahaha! have a great rest of the day!
Then for dinner, my mom made strogenoff..
and a fruit salad. I made sure to eat the fruit first, and then, I used one of my own bowls that I made (cause its small) rather than a plate for the meal. I kept it down to very little strogenoff intake, and was very proud of myself. All in all, its been and AWESOME day. ThanksHey sorry I haven't checked in in a while but I'm so glad with your progress and that people are getting involved. So much nicer when you have pillars of support. You post a few days ago just hit a nerve - I just realized that EVERYTIME I go downstairs (even if its to use the loo, get a drink, get a paper, pen, laptop you name it) the FIRST thing I do is go to the fridge, open it and stare at it (not for food, just no real reason), then go to the cookie cupboard (just a big old wardrobe used for shelves tbh) and stare and then I go to the big chest freezer, open it and stare and finally mutter "now what did I come down for?" LOL I feel like I'm totally nuts right now! I don't think I would have identified that habit without you Xorie! I have my fingers crossed for you, your lovely cook of a mother (your passion for her dishes makes me dribble even) and your brother! /cheer for small bowls! Speak soon and have fun working out!![]()
Hi Xorie, just read your last post. Great idea with the small bowl. Am definetly going to give that a try. Your an inspiration. Your so lucky to manual work, I'm stuck in an office all day, but I do try to get out at lunch time for my walk. Hope you have a great weekend. Talk soon Maddie
Thanks!! I cant wait to see a 240 on that scale.Wow you are doing so good with the eating out!! Very impressive C: Good job on hitting 251. 240's here you come!!!
Ohh I'm definitely watching this diary =) You're very inspiring!

You're journal is pretty fun! I'm tripped out that you work in barns, sorry somewhat of a culture shock for me!
That's so great that you put that doughnut down, i kinda did the same for the cheese toast at sizzlers, except i took 3 whole bites before putting it down..hehehe
good luck with all that running, it's taking you places!!
Great progress Xorie!! I'm very awed by your doughnut story - I so would not have been able to do that!! Keep it up!!
And I know you'll be fine whilst house sitting for your friend - if you can throw the bloody doughnuts away you can DEFINITELY handle this! Haha.
Nice work!
Xorie well done on the dougnout not easy!!! I tried out your running on Saturday. I walked and then ran, walked / ran etc. the whole 3 miles. I was soooooooo knackered after it, but I must say I felt fantastic so thanks for that!!! Hope you had a great weekend, by the sounds of it you surely did. Well done Talk soon Maddie
