On my way to 63kgs

You will be able to . I'm convinced that you have got the staying power to get to that stage and more :)
No doubt! That's like 5 and a half miles! That's amazing! Val is awesome! I hope to be able to do that some day.

LOL love Flumes' new name.
I would love a D cup so not far to go. Big boobs make you look fatter that you actually are.
LOL!!
Male viewpoint duely noted Fl-"likes a little more bounce in his day"-umes
however surely there's a point where it becomes downright hazardous?

LOl I just clicked on Rep to thank you for being so supportive and got this message. You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Stacy again. So I must have already done it. Got to spead the love :D
Even still! I can barely walk a mile! Let alone five and a half! And the fact that you ran at all is wonderful. I envy you that! :D Stop downplaying your accomplishments! You rock and you are doing a really good job, take a compliment, sweetie! lol :) *hugs*

Thank you! That really means a lot to me. :) Having someone with confidence in you makes a big difference, even if you only know them in the "internet world" lol. I think that most people in my life that hear I'm losing weight think that I won't stick with it, I don't know why, I've never really tried losing weight before. But knowing you have confidence in me gives me a big confidence boost! Thanks for that!

And thanks for trying to get me some more rep! heheh :D

FINALLY, I have gone under 70 kgs. I only lost 200g as the weight loss is really slowing up but who cares I'm officially in the 60s. Don't remember the last time I was that low.

Woohoo!! 60s here you are!! Congrats val and well done for all the hard work getting this far - really proud of you! Plus now you have the running-adrenalin bug...you do realise this is only the beginning?!

Thanks girls :)
I'm not a football(soccer) fan but the excitement here is contagious. Spain just got through to the world cup final and everybody is shouting cheering and letting off fire works and bipping their car horns. I will definitely be watching the final on Sunday just for the atmosphere. :)

LOL - you people all crack me up!

Eyckmans I just wanted to say that I finished reading thru your journal and all I can say is WOW! Very inpsiring to me!

Keep up the awesome progress! You are doing great!

I really hope so. My daughter is starting the gym with me today. If I can get her out of bed!!! I've told her that I will pay the subscription for her but if she doesn't go at least twice a week for the first month then she has to pay me the money back. I don't know if she will stick with it or not as the only form of exercise that she likes is dance classes but she isn't doing any at the moment as she can't find anybody to go with her. I wish I could get her to start running but she really hates that more than anything. But there again so did I :)

Just got back from my 3rd session at the gym. My daughter didn't come in the end as she has a tummy upset but said that she will come with me tomorrow.
Still haven't seen the gym monitor as it turns out he's on holiday and they are not sure if they are getting a replacement so just did the treadmill again. I am getting better at it. I have done an hour each session. The first time I did 6.6 kms, the second time 7.1 and today 7.6 so have got half a km per hour faster each session.
My daughter just told me that she has a friend that will give her some free tickets for a private gym so we may go there and learn how to use the machines.
When I first start a session I get about 10 mins into it and think that there is now way I can do more than half an hour, once I reach half an hour I decide to stop at 45 minutes but once I get to 45 mins I am well into it and can easily complete the hour and could do more if I had time.
I don't think that I have ever sweated so much in my life but I love the sense of achievement at the end. :)

That's wonderful! Oh geez, I wish I was that "into it". lol As soon as I get near the 30 minute mark I'm gasping for air and counting down the seconds until I hit 30 minutes. I have no desire what so ever to go longer. But I'm sure I'll get to that point - eventually. heh *crosses fingers*

Keep up the good work, you're doing great. I hope that your daughter starts getting some exercise too, sounds like she could use some gym time - but then again, we all could. lol

If I can do it Stacy then anybody can :)
I have never in my life been a sporty person so it is giving me such a real sense of personal achievement. My brother and two sisters were all very sporty and did competion gynastics and both sisters were also professional dancers and so it's a great feeling to know that now for the first time in our lives I am the fittest of us all.
One of my sisters has put on weight lately and is out of condition but has now joined a gym so we will be able to get fit together:)

That's great! I'm so glad you guys are motivating each other to get healthier!

I've always been the least fit one in my family, and I have a dream of some day being the most fit! I actually have a shot at it now that everyone is getting older and gaining weight and getting lazier. lol

Just wanted to drop by and say CONGRATULATIONS on getting into the 60s!!! That's fantastic! And congrats as well on your exercise! That's awesome. :) I'm definitely inspired!!

Brilliant to hear that its all going well Val. I know exactly what you mean about switching from the "oh my goodness how am I going to get through this 30 mins" to..."oh ok, have I done my hour?! That was hard work but achieveable!" hehehe. You just get in THE ZONE :D
