On my way to 63kgs

Hey Eyckmans!! Just wanted to drop by to thank u for the advice and to wish you well! Hope everything's been going okay! =)

Will you all please send me virtual kicks in my rear end as I just can't get myself motivated to exercise!!!!!!!! My eating is going fine so I'm not putting on weight but I just can't get back into the exercise mood and I don't understand why as I love it. I think I am sort of just waiting for my friends to have time to exercise with me but that still won't be for a couple of weeks. I wish you all lived close so that you could drag me out for a walk, run , swim anything. I know that I will be back exercising next month so I'm not panicking but I'll be so out of condition by then that I will have to start from square one especially with the running!!!! I'm dissapointed with myself but just can't seem to do it.
On a better note I saw 2 people in the last week that hadn't seen me for about a year and they were both amazed at the difference :)

Bend over baby!!

I'm one to talk.....I got to get motivated too. So you owe me one! lol

Take care and dont get yourself down about it. Look how far you've come....and be proud of yourself.
This weight loss thing isn't just physical...its mental. Your mind might need a break...or your body might need a break. Sooner or later, you'll get the two to mesh like gears and you'll be back at it.

Have a great night! (And you can stand up straight up again! lol)

I know how you feel hon! I've really been struggling with sticking to the exercise lately. I put it off all evening it seems, but so far I HAVE gotten my workout done at least 3 days out of the week (usually running because I don't like lifting weights as well) but it's usually way past my bedtime when I finish.

Just remember how fabulous it felt to come on here and tell us all that you had just run 2 km, then 4 km, then 6 km.... You get the picture! Wouldn't that be great to come on here and tell us that you blew your record out of the water again?

You'll feel so proud of yourself and we'll all be jealous of your willpower!

I needed a friend to meet me last night for kettle bell too - sometimes a friend just makes it so much easier. But after the workout I felt so good and I thought to myself - I don't need her to feel like this and I'm not doing this for her - I'm doing it for me. Today I brought my gym bag and I'm going alone - just because I know how good it feels! You can do it!! Come on and go for a small run - tell yourself just 10 min and as soon as you start going you won't want to stop! Maybe a change in your routine will help too! The important thing is your eating is still good so don't worry too much but get back as soon as you can!
Oh and I bet they were blown away to see you!! Use that feeling to get going again!

I agree with chubbygirl Val. Maybe a shake up in your routine would be a good idea. Do something random like volleyball or karate, just something different. I find that even when I'm at my fittest, if I try a different discipline, I hurt soooo bad! Which means it's working haha.

Even if you are having a little time off, just enjoy it and then when you get back into the exercise, work your butt off. We all know you can do it! X

Thanks you all for the kicks up the bum :D
My sister has just agreed to come and stay at my house to look after my dad the weekend after next so that I can go away with the weekend with my husband :) We have found a great deal in an apart/hotel at the other end of the island at Puerto Pollensa. It's only going to cost us just over 30 euros for 2 of us for 2 nights. For that we get an apartment with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. It's in a lovely hotel with swimming pool, jaccuzzi, sauna and gym. It will be the kick that I need to get me going again as we will walk all day long and use the gym and swimming pool. I've got just over a week to get active again before we go so great incentive. It's also brought me out of my mini-depression as I am really excited to get away from the house for a while. We could have chosen to have all-inclusive but thought that would encourage us to overeat so we'll eat in the apartment and have one meal a day out in a restaurant.
My husband deserves a bit of my undivided attention as well as he so often has to take second place to my dad.

Hey Eycky!

Sounds like a great (romantic) getaway weekend is in the forecast!
Hope the weather cooperates and you get to enjoy it to the fullest!

And thanks for checking in.....great to see you're hangin in there.
Anytime you need me to open up another can of 'Whoop Ass!', let me know!

Take care

LOL thanks.

We've stayed there twice now including our honeymoon and both times it rained the whole time so I'm not expecting much from the weather but will go prepared with waterproof jackets and plenty of changes of shoes and clothes. We both love walking in the rain so it won't matter :D

Sounds lovely Val. Hope you have a great week-end with your husband and the weather stays fine. You deserve it. Sending you some sunshine xo Cate

Your weekend plans away with your husband sound wonderful. I hope you both enjoy it and come back energized and rejuvinated!

That sounds like a great idea on all fronts: you'll spice up your exercise with a change of venue and at the same time have some alone time with your husband!

I hope you have lots of fun!

All the butt kicking worked, I'm back exercising at last.:D
I went out for a fast walk for an hour and a half yesterday. I feel a bit achey from it today as I was really getting out of form but feel so much better mentally. I will definitely go again today and get to the gym next week once I have recuperated a bit.
I'm getting really excited about next weekend :) We plan on keeping moving all day and not sitting around at all. There are so many beautiful walks up there so it should be fun. It will be so nice to just disconnect and concentrate on my husband. He so deserves to not have to share me for once. He is so supportive and patient with the situation with my dad as he often has to take a back seat to dad's needs.
Hope you all have a great weekend

Hi, I walk near where I live. I live within a couple of minutes of the sea so as you can imagine there are lots of beautiful places to walk. They have made walkways connecting up all the towns in our county so you can walk for miles and miles easily. If I feel like being around people then I drive a few minutes away to the nearest tourist resort and walk around there.
I always run on the treadmill at the gym but will probably venture outside soon now that the weather has cooled a bit. Family's doing great thanks :D

Well we have planned out our routes for our walks next weekend(weather permiting) There's a walking path between Puerto Pollensa and Puerto Andraitx which is right along the coast line. We have plotted it on google maps and it's about 22 kms round trip. The next day we will take the car and park it and then walk out to the tip of the headland in Formentor. Its downhill all the way but then we have to climb back up the hill. It will be lovely as it has beautiful sea views on both sides. Again its just over 20 kms. We'll treat ourselves to a meal out both nights but will try to not go too mad so we don't undo the benefits of all that exercise.
Need to get in training this week as we don't usually walk so far
I've made a big curry today and some of the family are coming round for lunch probably, about 10 of us so should be fun. :)
Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Wow! Must be beautiful by the ocean! It's cooled down here too. Love when the leaves start falling from the trees (didn't mean to be poetic ha ha) in autumn! You and your hubby sound so adventurous! =) Hope you enjoyed the Sunday gathering!

Hi Val!

You seem to be doing so well - you sound really motivated getting back into this exercise! Where you live, and where you're going sounds beautiful :) I hope you have a nice romantic weekend with your hubby!

I hope things with your dad are feeling a little easier too, now that you are back exercising. Sometimes when one part of our lives feels in place, other parts can feel slightly easier too. I know how difficult it can be living with someone with dementia, as my grandfather has it also. I think you are so brave and strong to be looking after your father, but remember that you still need you time, and you don't always need to be 'the rock'. *hugs*

I hope all is well,
Lisa.

Thanks for the support Lisa. It can be very frustrating sometimes. Exercising hard definitely clears my head and makes me feel a lot more happy and optimistic about life. I really am looking forward to my 'me' time next weekend and again in January when I go to England for 8 days :)

Hope you enjoyed the Sunday gathering!
It was lovely. We all sat around in the afternoon and watched videos of our trip to Disneyworld that we had 2 years ago. :)
