On my way to 63kgs

Yep, very healthy attitude Val = I wouldn't get worked up over 2 pieces of pizza...what...are you NEVER going to EVER eat pizza again? Nope, so you got to work out when you can have it in moderation and in balance with the exercise you are doing. Like you said, long term lifetime change of eating. Just go out for that run tomorrow or head down the gym on the night when you think "oh, not sure if I have the energy/time/can be bothered".

I totally agree with jjjay, it sounds like you have a good attitude when it comes to food. Too many people think of themselves as "bad" when they eat certain foods. I think there's nothing wrong with a slice or two of pizza every now and again, or even a small piece of pie or cake, it's just about adjusting your physical expenditure to accommodate the extra calories. I either have a much smaller piece then what I would have before my new lifestyle or if for instance I know I'm going to go out to eat with my boyfriend in the evening I'll eat super light for breakfast and lunch so that I don't go over my daily calories with the little bit of evening splurge. :) I think just about any food is workable with a healthy lifestyle as long as there is an eye on portion control and energy expenditure/calorie burn.

Probably won't do to well today either. My son heard that I made pizza yesterday so wants me to make it for him and his girlfriend today. I forgot to say yesterday that I also served up my favourite cream and jam doughnuts but I didn't have one. I bought weight watchers chocolate eclairs and had one of them instead. If you live in England and haven't tried them they are wonderful. They taste so sinful and have about 80 calories each. One of our local English owned shops imports frozen food from England including some WW food.
Will have to work extra hard at the gym this week and will make sure that I eat lots of salad, veg and gazpacho to keep the calories down.

Congrats on not partaking of the full fat and calorie cream and jam doughnuts! Girl you've got some great willpower! Awesome!

From boobs to donuts in two days! The things I miss when I'm havin fun!

Hope you had a fantastic weekend!

Take care Eycky!

Nice to see you over here :)
That sounds like a good idea to just increase little by little and see how it goes. My husband did ask me the other day how much smaller my boobs were going to get but I could still lose a cup size and they'd still be big so he needn't worry :D.

It made me laugh to think that he thought you could predict something like that with any degree of accurarcy:) Hope he's not suffering the classic 'fear of losing you to someone else' thing some guys get when they see their wives losing weight ;)

I agree with jjjay about throwing out all the old clothes as you lose weight. And I've enjoyed all the talk about getting new wardrobes. I've been walking around like a tramp for decades as nothing seemed to look right at my weight, but now I'm losing it I haven't the slightest idea what would look good on me.

Must look up those bras too. My current one now has wrinkles and is literally starting to fall apart ;)

You were great to use your self-discipline over the doughnuts, but I still won't go for low-fat versions of treats. I'd rather have a smaller portion of the real thing. I found myself having half a chocolate the other day as I only had 25 calories left. Never done that before! :) Like Stacy, I don't deny myself anything I crave, I just have less, and take a long time enjoying it.

However, I'll give those WW eclairs a try, since you recommend them.

Hope you had a good weekend :)

Not at all, he's just a boob man. He loves the fact that we are both losing weight. He's lost about 22lbs as well just because I am feeding him a healthier diet.

That's exactly what most of mine are like. I have one that I bought ages ago that was too small then and if I wear a tight t.shirt I have to wear that underneath or the wrinkles look ridiculous. You can see the bras that Jjjay recommends in the first post of her diary.

For the first time I'm very grateful that my grandma and mom taught me to be somewhat of a pack rat. I still have 3 bras from high school that I loved that are too small for me now, but will fit me in about 50 more pounds or so. lol So I guess I'm covered for a while on bras. Now I have to see if I can find a box of my old clothes. I'm sure I have some some where, clothes that I loved that I couldn't bring myself to get rid of when I outgrew them. It's cool that I'll get to enjoy them again.

I so regret throwing out all my skinny clothes at the end of last year. I'd come to a point when I thought - who am I kidding I'll never slim down enough to fit into them clothes - and now all of those clothes would have fitted me.

I have just been to the gym with my husband for the first time and he loved it. He won't be able to come often as he plays padel 4 times a week but it will be nice to have him there sometimes. He said that he was very proud of how well I did in the gym which totally made my day :)
I ran for 2 kms without my knee hurting but stopped running then as I didn't want to take any risks. So I will add a couple of 100 metres on each day until I get to 5kms. Then I'll just keep going and going as far as I can :D

Awww That's awesome that your sweetie is so proud of you! It really helps having that kind of support, doesn't it? I feel sorry for those who are traveling this road alone, it's hard when you don't have someone encouraging you.

Congrats on working out despite the knee hurting, just be careful (I'm sure you are). :D

As for the clothes thing - yeah, I had no idea that I would need them again, I guess subconsciously I was hoping. lol

Keep up the good work, my friend!

LOL What am I....some kind of lingerie model?!?!?! Although, they do give pretty darn good cleavage as well as support...oh my goodness, I'm actually a lingerie SALESWOMAN!!!

My bras are so wrinkly that I can fit my hands inside each cup as well as my boobs....going to have to do somethign soon - maybe another 7lbs and I'll head down to the measuring shop, buy one or two then splurge out on the same size and make on ebay (I know I know terrible...but far cheaper!)

I squirrelled a lot of my smaller clothes away (not exactly that small...just UK 16 and 14) and had great fun the other week finding out that they all fitted when I pulled them out of storage from my parents place!

WELL DONE on the run! :D You are right to take it slow until you can work out what aggrevates your knee and how far you can go each time. Just pushing it a bit further each run was how I got from....2km to 8km...

If you are running outdoors - I've foudn this website really useful to track routes and add on a bit more each time:

You can keep your runs private and log what you do and how often, or you can share them (and see other people's routes in your area). I don't share my runs, but I do like looking at other peoples! Also shows me where people are running so more likely to be lots of people on the trail and safer etc...

Lingerie model, running trainer, there's no end to your talents :)
I won't be running outdoors now until at least the end of September by which time I should have 5k and more cracked :) but will bookmark that website until then.
Can't wait to get some decent bras. I'll model them here as well and we can be spokespeople for Bravissimo :D

Thanks Stacy, you always say such nice things and really cheer my day up. :D

Gym with the hubby sounds great Eycky! And hearing a compliment from your loved one is icing on the cake! Well done!

And very good taking it easy on the running. (It'll give me time to catch up to ya! lol)

Have a great nite!

It must be brilliant to have such an encouraging partner :) Has he reached goal yet, or does he have more to lose?

Thanks. I'll take a look now :)

Hope you're over your knee problem now.

You have already caught up by the sounds of it. I think we will both be running that 5k by the end of summer and then we can officially join Jjjay at being runny. :)

He didn't really have a goal as he didn't even realize that he was eating much lower calories but he is enjoying the weight loss so far and is going much easier on what he eats at work which on a typical day could include a packet of donuts, a family pack of crisps, and a couple of bars of choclate. He is very fit. He doesn't drive so he walks everywhere and he plays padel at least 4 times a week.
The knee seems fine this morning. It was my fault that I hurt it before as I knew that I was overdoing it but just wanted to get to 3 1/2 without stopping.

Just got back from the gym. My daughter came with me. She tried to get out of it by saying that she had a headache but I told her that exercise will do it good :)
I ran for 3.1 kms without stopping which is a personal record.:D I didn't plan on doing that much but didn't even have a twinge out of my knee so carried on. I could have done more but didn't want to risk my knee starting to hurt so stopped once I beat my record. I feel so great now. :)
I'm doing a bit more with the machines. The leg ones are ok but I really struggle with the arm ones so I'm taking them very slow.
